While there isn’t a huge amount of space inside, you’ll have a small private balcony to enjoy, and a choice of cafes, restaurants, and bars on the doorstep. At full capacity – with guest three sleeping on the sofa bed – it might be a bit of a squeeze. We think this functional base is best suited to a couple who'll spend their days on the beach or sightseeing and their evenings eating out.

The apartment itself is modern and practical, but it lacks some character. That said, there’s a bright open-plan living room for relaxing and a lovely sea view to admire while you’re preparing a tapas dinner. We think this location makes for a great Costa del Sol base – golf courses, sandy beaches, and well-known beach restaurants are all within easy reach.

Bright and spacious, the villa's interior is flooded with light throughout the day, thanks to sliding doors and windows facing every direction. In keeping with its Andalusian location, there's a North African influence on the decor. However, the modern stainless steel kitchen, quiet tranquillity of the study and the massive entertainment area and gym in the basement make it hard to pin down one particular influence. 

The standout bedroom is undoubtedly the immense main bedroom with a double en-suite wetroom and direct balcony access. Additional rooms with twin and bunk beds mean that the villa is best suited to a multi-generational family getaway rather than a group of friends.

Outside, an inviting infinity pool, sun loungers and comfortable outdoor seating mean that everything's set up to make the most of the alfresco area – the jaw-dropping views are just the icing on the cake.

Away from the villa, family-friendly Fuengirola is a fifteen-minute drive, while the newly revitalised city of Malaga and glamour of Marbella are a little over half an hour away.

This apartment offers a comfortable stay in the heart of Fuengirola, within easy reach of the beach. The living space is bright and modern, with sliding doors that open out onto a private balcony which serves as a lovely spot for morning coffee. The kitchen is a little small here, but you'll find it's well-equipped for preparing home-cooked meals – that's when you're not out sampling the local eateries. It's also worth noting that the sofa converts into a bunk bed for younger children.

Perfectly positioned, this apartment is just footsteps from Fuengirola's 8km-long promenade and sandy beach. You'll also have countless tapas bars, restaurants and shops on your doorstep. A sofa bed in the living area offers flexible sleeping arrangements, though we think the space is best suited for a couple. It's also worth noting that some street noise should be expected, however, the small street-facing balcony is a nice touch here for early-evening drinks and watching the beachgoers return home.

Outside, soak it all in from the private terrace or while relaxing in the open-plan living space. From here, the nearest restaurants are a short stroll away, while the close proximity to the Carvajal train station means easy access to Fuengirola and Málaga.

The designs aren’t so inspiring, but it's modern and practical, with everything you need for a relaxing coastal getaway.

Supermarkets, waterfront restaurants, and lively bars are all within walking distance – we reckon you'll spend most of your time here exploring the Costa del Sol. Back home, you'll want to take advantage of the private balcony. It's perfect for alfresco dinners and evening tipples – and the sea views are pretty special, too. While the design isn't the most exciting, we like how light each room is, and there's a decent amount of space for four. You'll also have access to the communal gym and on-site swimming pool, shared with other guests.

Plus, there's also a games room with a billiards table and a bar that makes for a great place to gather the whole group together.

When it comes to days out, the question is where to begin? The beaches of Fuengirola and La Cala de Mijas can be reached in ten minutes by car, while the towns of Marbella and Puerto Banus are only a short drive away, too. And of course, you've always got the golf course on your doorstep, as well.
