This stunning Andalusian villa is the perfect getaway for a holiday with your loved ones. The interior of the home is very nicely designed, but it’s the exterior we’re most enthusiastic about. With an infinity pool, ping-pong table and several lovely terraces (including a rooftop one) we don’t blame you if you’d like to spend all your time here. The most obvious of these is the swimming pool that takes up one corner of the courtyard, but just next to this, you'll also find a couple of loungers and an alfresco dining area treated to some shade by a large parasol. Rather conveniently, the stone barbecue stands within arm's reach.

As if that wasn't enough, there's also a balcony from which it's possible to see the region's terracotta rooftops and the Mediterranean Sea in the distance. There are several areas for mingling here, outside and in, allowing you to be sociable and get some privacy in equal measure. In the picturesque coastal town of Nerja, this contemporary villa is tucked away on a cul-de-sac. Featuring a wrap-around balcony and private garden, there are plenty of cosy corners from which to enjoy the sunshine, our favourite being the private pool. We love that you don’t need a car here, as the centre of Nerja is just a fifteen-minute walk away. A stroll in the opposite direction will take you to Playa de Burriana, a long stretch of sandy beach known as the area’s top spot for swimming. You'll also find watersports and beach volleyball here if you're looking for ways to keep the kids entertained.


The Palms

Three levels of comfort await at this home in the heart of Nerja. It won't suit guests who struggle with stairs, but it's bound to be a hit for those who don't mind multi-floor living. Head up to the top-floor terrace to take advantage of the private plunge pool and alfresco dining area. We're big fans of the second kitchen on this level, which makes it easy to whip up a meal without having to clamber up and down. A few of the bedrooms are on the smaller side – and they're all on the first floor – but two have desks for remote working. Location-wise, Playa Burriana and the ever-popular Balcón De Europa are just twenty minutes away on foot.

This sunny holiday home is in a resort in the Capistrano area of Nerja. You’ll have access to the communal outdoor swimming pool, in addition to having your own private terrace. The stunning vistas of the Mediterranean are what make this home so special, as they can be admired from outside, from the living room, and from the main bedroom – is there anything better than waking up to sea views? You’ll only be 2 kilometres from the beach, so you can easily add sandcastle building to the holiday itinerary.

There’s no doubt this is one of Nerja’s most impressive sea-grazing apartments. With a Scandi-luxe interior and compelling panoramic views all the way across the Mediterranean, this apartment is a sumptuous place to call home. Inside, it's a vision of its own, with minimal design elements and Spanish-influenced furnishings. We particularly love the industrial accents – the iron-framed bedroom is a uniquely cool design feature. We can't speak about this home and not mention the views, however. From your private terrace, there are panoramas of the Balcón de Europa and Carabeo coves –  make the most of the vistas from the cosy lounge chairs, a Malaga digestif in hand.

With access to the resort’s plush daybeds and crystalline pool, you’ll be able to soak up the sun decadently. Though you might find all the relaxation you need is right here at home, the sparking waters along the Carabeo sands are right off your doorstep.

Not likely to run out of seating here, this beautiful Spanish villa has a patio with a private swimming pool, oriented to get the sunshine all day long. Stretch your legs out here or on a walk into town, where you can find restaurants and pavement cafes lining the cobbled streets. If a beach day is where you're happiest, then Burriana is only minutes away. Though the living room might be a little cramped for fourteen, the kitchen table can be pushed closer to the outdoor dining set to make it more sociable for the entire group.

What we love most about this apartment has to be the view from the private terrace. From the shaded dining table, you’ve got a fabulous panorama over the rooftops of Nerja to the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. There’s also a rattan set of sofa and chairs out here, perfect for a sundowner or two. Inside, it feels like an homage to traditional southern Spain with a cooling tiled floor, crisp white walls and an old, decorative fireplace in the living room. A brick archway separates the living and dining room from the full kitchen. Those that bag the main bedroom can enjoy direct access to the terrace.

It’s a classic Spanish-style home in a residential area so it won’t appeal to everyone, but we think it’s got charm in abundance. Only two of the bedrooms have sea views, so you and your guests will have to fight it out, but there’s plenty of outside space for everyone to enjoy – gourmands will enjoy the outdoor kitchen. There’s a bakery and mini market within walking distance, but hiring a car to see more of the area would be a good idea.

The communal pool is sure to be a hit on those really hot days, and while the balcony might not have much of a view, it's a private spot ideal for a cocktail.
