This stunning Andalusian villa is the perfect getaway for a holiday with your loved ones. The interior of the home is very nicely designed, but it’s the exterior we’re most enthusiastic about. With an infinity pool, ping-pong table and several lovely terraces (including a rooftop one) we don’t blame you if you’d like to spend all your time here. If you want the best of both – the beach is a thirty-minute walk away and the beautiful cities of Málaga and Granada are roughly an hour’s drive down the road.

We love that you don’t need a car here, as the centre of Nerja is just a fifteen-minute walk away. A stroll in the opposite direction will take you to Playa de Burriana, a long stretch of sandy beach known as the area’s top spot for swimming. You'll also find watersports and beach volleyball here if you're looking for ways to keep the kids entertained.

With its Mediterranean Sea views and private balcony, this apartment is the ideal place to crash between dips in the communal pool and tapas-tasting in the heart of Nerja. A few of the bedrooms are on the smaller side – and they're all on the first floor – but two have desks for remote working. Location-wise, Playa Burriana and the ever-popular Balcón De Europa are just twenty minutes away on foot.

While some of the interiors may be a little dated, there's plenty of room across its three floors to spread out. There's even a cute playroom for the kids, so it's a great option for families. But the best part of all is the stand-out location. It's just a short walk from Burriana Beach, known for its long coastline, crystal-clear waters and collection of fantastic restaurants, bars and amenities that line the sands.

A five-minute drive from Nerja’s centre, this villa will appeal to traditionalists. It’s a classic Spanish-style home in a residential area so it won’t appeal to everyone, but we think it’s got charm in abundance. Only two of the bedrooms have sea views, so you and your guests will have to fight it out, but there’s plenty of outside space for everyone to enjoy – gourmands will enjoy the outdoor kitchen. There’s a bakery and mini market within walking distance, but hiring a car to see more of the area would be a good idea.

 This well-designed villa in Nerja is a great place to share with a large family or a group of friends. The home is well-kept and boasts stunning views of the town and coast. It also features some nifty amenities, with the highlight being the pool, which is surrounded by a couple of terraces that lend themselves perfectly to alfresco meals. The villa’s convenient location means guests are within walking distance of several amenities, including supermarkets, a handful of restaurants and even the beach can be reached on foot within half an hour.

With access to the resort’s plush daybeds and crystalline pool, you’ll be able to soak up the sun decadently. Though you might find all the relaxation you need is right here at home, the sparking waters along the Carabeo sands are right off your doorstep.

On the edge of Nerja, where the beachy resort town ends and the wild mountains of Andalucia begin, you’ll find this apartment. It sits in a charming complex of red-roofed villas and apartments reminiscent of Andalucia’s shambling mountain villages. What we love most about this apartment has to be the view from the private terrace. From the shaded dining table, you’ve got a fabulous panorama over the rooftops of Nerja to the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. There’s also a rattan set of sofa and chairs out here, perfect for a sundowner or two. Inside, it feels like an homage to traditional southern Spain with a cooling tiled floor, crisp white walls and an old, decorative fireplace in the living room.
