Just a short stroll from sandy beaches, this functional Nerja apartment is perfect if you need a no-frills base to return to after a day in the sun. The communal pool is sure to be a hit on those really hot days, and while the balcony might not have much of a view, it's a private spot ideal for a cocktail. The fully-equipped kitchen means you can enjoy a romantic meal for two, although there's a wealth of dining options nearby as well.

Shoreline Hideaway

Situated in a modern apartment complex overlooking the Mediterranean, this cosy home is a great option for couples, families, and groups of friends looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and unwind on Spain’s stunning Costa Del Sol. 

We love the uncluttered feel of the interior here – think white walls and sleek Swedish furniture – but it’s the outside space that really stands out. Boasting lush communal gardens and a secluded private terrace, this is the perfect place to soak up the Spanish sun and unwind with all your favourite people. 

Start your morning with a dip in the dreamy infinity pool then settle in for a day of relaxation on the veranda. When it’s time to eat, grab a bite at one of the city’s leading restaurants – paella, anyone? – or rustle up a delicious home-cooked meal in the well-stocked kitchen. 

If you fancy getting out and about, there’s plenty to keep you occupied in Nerja’s historic centre, but if we were you, we’d be tempted to stay put and make the most of the view. Pour yourself a glass of wine and watch the sun go down over the glistening Mediterranean before retiring to your comfy bedroom for a good night’s rest. Then get up and do it all over again. What could be better?

Verano Azul

With its Mediterranean Sea views and private balcony, this apartment is the ideal place to crash between dips in the communal pool and tapas-tasting in the heart of Nerja. The private balcony is equipped with an awning (a welcome addition for when the sun becomes a bit much) and you’re only 200 metres or so from Playa Torrecilla. If you’d like to make your stay that little bit more special, your host provides a bottle of champagne as an optional add-on.

Sea Drift

Only a 250-metre stroll from Torrecilla Beach, you can see the bright Alboran Sea from this vibrant apartment. With all the charm of the Costa del Sol at hand, spend your time in Nerja lazing on powdery sands or exploring the atmospheric streets via a horse-drawn carriage. Better yet, why not make use of the extra services available and book fun-filled excursions, where you'll be shuttled from your front door?

Brightened by large-scale windows and abstract artworks, this colourful home enjoys a privileged position. Wake up from a good night's sleep in a calming bedroom, then tuck into churros for a traditional breakfast. We think that this open-plan living space is perfect for conversation, so you can discuss your days easily. Once you return from sightseeing, cool off under a refreshing rain shower. Then, end the day by watching the skies pinken over the rooftops of this Andalusian street while sipping a glass of Moët & Chandon with your loved ones – the private balcony is an excellent spot for just that. 

Lemon Abstract

This magical Mediterranean retreat combines traditional Spanish architecture with contemporary Swedish design, creating an utterly unforgettable pad in the heart of Nerja. A penthouse within a private member's club, this home has many surprises in store – including a showstopping rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the Balcon de Europa.

Guaranteeing a relaxing stay, this home encourages you to do as much or as little as you like. Make time to appreciate all that is unique about this incredible location – wake early to watch the sunrise on the rooftop terrace, then nap on the daybeds before luxuriating in the private hot tub or taking a dip in the shared infinity pool. Dry off with a cocktail in hand and, depending on what sort of mood you're in, either whip up a Spanish feast in the outdoor kitchen or live like a local and explore Nerja's many tapas bars and restaurants. At the day's end, you won't want to resist a nightcap on the terrace – let yourself be mesmerised by moonrise or stargaze to your heart's content.

You'll be hard pressed to find a reason to tear yourself away from this penthouse paradise and yet nearly ten miles of sandy beaches await. The very nearest – El Chorrillo, Calahonda and Carabeillo – are only a short walk away. You're also in the heart of Nerja's Old Town, perfect if you fancy a bit of exploring.

Mediterranean Magic

There’s no doubt this is one of Nerja’s most impressive sea-grazing apartments. With a Scandi-luxe interior and compelling panoramic views all the way across the Mediterranean, this apartment is a sumptuous place to call home. Get set to escape reality and embrace all things coastal as you retreat to this sensational Malagan oasis.

Inside, it's a vision of its own, with minimal design elements and Spanish-influenced furnishings. Lounging and dining in this space feels cosy and opulent – a linen sofa and marble coffee tables are accompanied by considered touches whilst the sleek wooden table is positioned under the lantern mood lights – allowing you to create your perfect ambience. We particularly love the industrial accents – the iron-framed bedroom is a uniquely cool design feature. We can't speak about this home and not mention the views, however. From your private terrace, there are panoramas of the Balcón de Europa and Carabeo coves –  make the most of the vistas from the cosy lounge chairs, a Malaga digestif in hand.

With access to the resort’s plush daybeds and crystalline pool, you’ll be able to soak up the sun decadently. Though you might find all the relaxation you need is right here at home, the sparking waters along the Carabeo sands are right off your doorstep.

Carabeo Calm

In one direction, you’ve got the meandering trails of the Sierras de Tejeda
Mountains and in the other, it’s a leisurely walk to Nerja’s beachfront. Simplicity is the watchword, inside and out. The backyard is dominated by a shimmering swimming pool – as it should be in the southern Spanish heat. The huge, open-plan kitchen, living and dining room is sleek, if a little sparse – a place for folk that prefer clear surfaces, no clutter and plenty of sunlight streaming in through walls of glass. Up on the first floor, a balcony looks out over the sea.  

I Capture the Sea

An apartment, in the heart of Nerja, with a private heated pool? Count us in. Inside, there’s a kitchen with all the accoutrements for home cooking and an en-suite bedroom with access to the furnished terrace. While this home can sleep four guests, two will be on the sofa bed in the living area, which will compromise any social space. If exploring is on the itinerary, the Balcón de Europa viewpoint and Carabeillo Beach are within easy walking distance of your doorstep.

Blue Skies & Sunshine

On the edge of Nerja, where the beachy resort town ends and the wild mountains of Andalucia begin, you’ll find this apartment. It sits in a charming complex of red-roofed villas and apartments reminiscent of Andalucia’s shambling mountain villages. Plus, there’s a huge shared swimming pool, kids’ play area and shops and restaurants onsite.

What we love most about this apartment has to be the view from the private terrace. From the shaded dining table, you’ve got a fabulous panorama over the rooftops of Nerja to the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. There’s also a rattan set of sofa and chairs out here, perfect for a sundowner or two. Inside, it feels like an homage to traditional southern Spain with a cooling tiled floor, crisp white walls and an old, decorative fireplace in the living room. A brick archway separates the living and dining room from the full kitchen. Those that bag the main bedroom can enjoy direct access to the terrace. 

Tangerine Rooftops

Found in a pretty spot on the Andalucian coastline, this four-level coral villa is positively overflowing with spots in which to bask in the Spanish sunshine.

The most obvious of these is the swimming pool that takes up one corner of the courtyard, but just next to this, you'll also find a couple of loungers and an alfresco dining area treated to some shade by a large parasol. Rather conveniently, the stone barbecue stands within arm's reach.

As if that wasn't enough, there's also a balcony from which it's possible to see the region's terracotta rooftops and the Mediterranean Sea in the distance. Head back into the home and you'll find an elegant interior filled with pastel walls, house plants, dark wooden furnishings and chequerboard tiling.

When you want to explore beyond the boundaries of the address, it's possible to reach the beach — Playa de Burriana, to be precise — in five minutes by car. In the opposite direction, there are hiking routes and scenic points aplenty in Cerros de Nerja, about a quarter of an hour's walk from the home.

Wax Pastels

With picturesque gardens and views of both the sea and mountains, this villa will tick all the boxes on your holiday wishlist. Stroll past the most beautiful lemon tree on your arrival and you’ll feel instantly relaxed and completely at home. Step inside, and you’ll find delightful luxurious touches peppered throughout this home – if you aren’t padding out of your bedroom into your garden for a little Spanish sunshine, you could be waking up under your private outdoor shower. If the heat of the day overwhelms you, wander to your communal pool for a refreshing dip in its inviting blue waters. When you’ve had enough of the water, hop out and let the sun warm your skin as you relax on a sun lounger with your holiday read for company. 

While you may choose to sample the local cuisine, you have supermarkets conveniently close to your holiday home, perfect if you fancy an evening in. The kitchen may be state-of-the-art and ready to put your culinary skills to the test, but the private terrace and barbecue may just be too tempting to resist – all you need is a chilled sangria or local wine to sink into the evening sunset. As day turns to night, retire to your comfortable corner sofa to relax the evening away with those dearest to you by your side. 

Twist of Lemon

Inside and outside blend into one here thanks to elegant floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the stylish living room in natural light. Sink into the plush sofa and while away the afternoon in front of the TV or head out to your private terrace to soak up gorgeous views of the Mediterranean.  If you’re here for sun, surf, and sand, you’re in luck. Not only will you be within easy walking distance of the nearest beach, but you’ll have unlimited access to the resort’s communal swimming pool, perfect for cooling off when temperatures reach their peak.

Whether you’re travelling with family or friends, you’ll find something for everyone to enjoy here. Lose yourself down the pebbled streets of Nerja’s old town or set off for a day of hiking along the Chíllar River, a short cab ride away. With a whole host of attractions and beautiful landscapes at your fingertips, we wouldn’t blame you if you never wanted to leave.
