Inside, the place has everything you need to feel right at home, and although we think the kitchen could do with an update, it’s well-appointed. Best of all, there is a communal swimming pool on the premises for keeping cool in the summer.

You can watch the sunrise over the ocean while you drink your coffee. Head down to the communal gym and sauna to work up a sweat before cooling off in the indoor pool – the perfect way to start your day. Head up to your apartment to cook up some Spanish scrambled eggs, and tuck in around your stylish dining set. This lovely apartment in Estepona is bright and inviting, with a huge terrace that makes the most of the beautiful sea views. Just steps away from the beach, close to a golf course, waterpark, and set along a promenade of restaurants, cafes, and bars, this home is a great choice for a family getaway. 

We love this apartment's contemporary interior, with warm-toned low-hanging light fixtures setting the mood above the dining table and chic stools tucked into the breakfast bar. It's wonderfully sociable, where you can cook, eat, talk, and relax, all together in one room. The huge patio doors create a wonderful sense of indoor/outdoor living, inviting the Spanish sun to light up the home's bright walls. Both bedrooms have a patio door too – stepping straight onto your terrace and feeling the morning sun on your face is the perfect wake-up call.

It's the spacious terrace that's the main talking point here. We love how there's enough space to eat meals alfresco around the dining table as well as a comfortable outdoor sofa and loungers to soak up the Costa del Sol sun. Spend lazy mornings sipping fresh coffee while looking out at the calm Mediterranean Sea before heading downstairs to the pool. Lounge around, catching up on your holiday read, before taking a dip in the waters to cool off.

Sundrenched

The stretch of coastline between Estepona and Sabinillas offers all the typical Costa del Sol attractions – golfing, beaches, and charming seaside resorts. This family-friendly apartment in Casares Costa is a great base for exploring the local area – but equally, an inviting spot for a lazy, sun-soaked break. The open-plan living space and wide patio doors make for an ideal layout for gatherings, and you're spoiled by the size of the dining terrace. Little ones will love playing on the lawn (a benefit of a ground-floor home, even if you don't have the best sea view), and there are two pools on the resort to keep them entertained, too.
