Nestled in the picturesque hills of the Axarquía region, a short drive from the coast, this villa is a great fit for family holidays. Outside, you’ll find a glistening pool with impressive sea views, as well as an alfresco dining area, perfect for communal feasts. The inside is all about that Mediterranean comfort – while not the most modern when it comes to its décor, the home has plenty of rustic charm. Note that two of the bedrooms feature a double and a single bed each, which means that at full occupancy it may feel a tad crowded. 

The Vine of the Mountain

Occupying an enviable position on the Granada coast, this unique coastal sanctuary has been designed to inspire optimum comfort and relaxation. From the heated saltwater pool and peaceful terrace to the incredible sea views, this is the perfect setting for a refreshing retreat. It’s also well suited to families with plenty to explore in the surroundings. The nearest beach is just 5-kilometres away, while the close proximity to the Sierra Nevada means its a great spot for adventure lovers.

The Dragon House

A trip to glitzy Marbella should be met with an equally glam villa, and this home delivers just that. Up in the hills around Marbella, it’s got sea views for miles from the stacked terraces and balconies. Let’s talk about that infinity pool, hanging off the edge of the terrace and overlooking the ocean in the distance. Then there’s the rooftop terrace, with a panoramic view best enjoyed while the barbecue is on the go. You can even see Morocco on a clear day.

And, if you fancy a day by the sea, you can drive to the Costa Del Sol in around forty minutes to spend some time on the sand.

Located on the iconic Costa Del Sol coastline, you’ll find yourself sipping sangria in the plush outdoor lounge, soaking up the Mediterranean vistas from the terrace, and waking up in a contemporary paradise with sunshine streaming through the floor-to-ceiling doors. 

The villa has clearly been designed by someone with a considered eye for detail. Everything you might need for a relaxing and luxurious stay is right at your fingertips – the sleek and modern kitchen is a chef’s delight, and the hosting lounge, complete with plush furnishings and unique artworks, is perfectly poised for sociable evenings. This pretty apartment makes for a lovely base for your visit to Spain, tucked away just a short stroll from the beach. Rincon de la Victoria is just a twenty-five-minute drive from Malaga, but has a laid-back feel that makes it perfect for relaxing beach holidays. 

The apartment is bright and sunny, with a lovely terrace – is there anything better than sipping a glass of something chilled as the sun starts to set? It’s a comfortable space that’s welcoming, making it feel like a real home from home.

You’ll likely spend most of your stay at the beach, which is an eleven-minute walk away. The seafront has plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from, so you can dine alfresco while listening to the waves on the shore. 

It’s well worth driving the twenty-five minutes into Malaga for a day trip. There’s incredible architecture to admire, beautiful squares to sit in, and pretty streets to wander with an ice cream in hand. 


Lemonade In The Shade

Enviably located on the Costa del Sol, this modern apartment makes a great choice for a small family or two couples. In terms of location, Playa Vilches is around 1.2 kilometres away and you’re a short drive from Nerja and Torrox.

Keen golfers can make the most of the world-class courses in nearby Golf Valley, and for sunseekers, the closest beach is just over a mile away. Back home, you’ll find everything you’ll need for a relaxing break, including a private pool, outdoor kitchen, alfresco dining area, and open-plan living space. And as an added bonus all the bedrooms here are en-suite. We think this contemporary home is a great choice for a group getaway.  

Suntouched Abode

Sitting in the countryside between Málaga and Marbella, this typically Andalusian home is just the spot for a peaceful getaway during which you'll spend as many hours as possible in the great outdoors.

Part of the alfresco appeal is the dramatic landscape of hillsides and clouds rolling across the sky that greets you as you step out the back door. It makes for a lovely backdrop against which to paddle in the swimming pool, soak up the sunshine on one of the loungers or read on the shady pergola. Once nighttime starts to descend, you can fire up the barbecue and dine on the covered terrace.

Back inside, there are a fair few period features to be spotted, from the exposed brick fireplace in the corner of the living room to the vaulted wooden ceiling beams. However, these are matched with plenty of contemporary flourishes, too – the large windows bring in copious amounts of natural light, for example, while the sleek kitchen and bathrooms feel anything but dated.

When you're in need of shops and restaurants, the centre of Villafranco de Guadalhorce is only 2km away and Alhaurin el Grande is 7km away, too. A little further afield, there are sandy beaches at Fuengirola and Torremolinos, which are both around 30km away, too.

This apartment sits in a gated community at the heart of Axarquia. It’s in the first line from the beach, so you can admire sea views and stroll to the soft sand in no time. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. You’ll have access to the communal salt-water swimming pool, from which you can gaze out to sea as you float in the sunshine. There’s a communal gym, too, ideal for those keen to keep up their routine. We recommend bringing a car so you can drive twenty-five minutes to Malaga to see the sights. 

Saltwater Serenity

Set in the dramatic mountainous landscape of the Malaga countryside, this unique home has all the ingredients for an unforgettable holiday. Set on 6,500 square metres of land, the home comprises three separate houses built together in a small complex. Each of the houses has a living room and a fully equipped kitchen, so you can make your coffee and breakfast without fighting over countertop space. 

Long summer days can be spent in the garden, soaking up the panoramic views of the green hills and golden mountains. When it gets hot, cool off with a dip in the 15 metre pool. Come lunchtime, fire up the barbecue and enjoy an alfresco meal together on the terrace. The villa is in a peaceful, remote location, and the nearest town is Rincón de la Victoria, 8.7 kilometres away, where there’s pharmacies and supermarkets, as well as restaurants and bars.

You could easily spend all your time relaxing at the villa and splashing around in the pool, but if you feel like an adventure, Malaga is 19 kilometres away and easily reachable by car. Wander around and admire the old colonial architecture and pretty squares, stopping in for a drink and a bite to eat at one of the family run tapas bars. Or spend the afternoon at one of Malaga’s beautiful sandy beaches, enjoying a paella at a seafront restaurant. After a day of sun, sea and sand, head home for cocktails on the terrace as the mountains turn pink.
