But when you fancy dipping your toes into the local culture, Olvera town is just a short drive away, with its 12th-century castle and traditional restaurants delivering all the Andalusian charm you're chasing.

Back home, you'll love this newly built villa's pristine, contemporary interiors and that magnificent wraparound shady veranda. With panoramic views of the surrounding hillsides, it's the perfect spot for lazy morning coffees or a glass of Moscatel wine at golden hour. And the vistas are just as impressive at night when the sun slowly dips behind the mountains and the lights of the surrounding fincas flicker on.

When it's time for a change of pace, take your pick from the villa's two pools. A heated spa-worthy pool indoors is prime for morning soaks after a workout in the dedicated gym space. But when the sun shines, it's outside hopping between that outdoor pool and vast panoramic terraces where you'll really want to be.

Our favourite way to cool off, however? A dip in the shimmering private pool. Equipped with sun loungers and framed by breathtaking natural vistas, this is where you’ll want to while away long afternoons before firing up the grill for a barbecue under the stars. 

And when it comes to sightseeing, you’ve got a plethora of charming villages to explore – including Zahara de la Sierra 9 kilometres away – not to mention the Sierra de Grazalema  Natural Park, reachable by car.

The upper terrace is complete with loungers, a seating area, and glimpses of the Alboran Sea. What’s more, guests staying here have access to communal swimming pools, and Saladillo Beach is only a ten-minute drive away. Should you fancy stretching your legs, the village of Cancelada is within walking distance, home to laidback bars and restaurants.

The interior is contemporary and sleek, yet each room feels as cosy as it does stylish – and none more so than the impressive main suite, which boasts wall-to-wall views over the garden. There's no better way to end the evening than with a soak in the lavish freestanding bath. Sink into the bubbles with a glass of local wine and admire the stars outside your window.

Location-wise, Nagueles is tucked away from the hustle and bustle, but don't let that fool you. The Golden Mile and many picturesque beaches are just a short drive away. The wonderful white town of Sentenil de las Bodegas is also within easy reach.
