Set across one floor, you’ll find a wonderful blend of tradition and contemporary comforts here. From the wooden ceilings and terracotta floors to the rustic styling and covered terrace, this is the kind of space that brings ease and joy to daily living. So whether you’re here for a quiet escape or to soak up the sights, this home invites you to enjoy a constant sense of sanctuary. 

Inside, the simple and cosy rooms provide ample space for relaxing, while the outdoor terrace celebrates the energising power of this unique location. From sunrise to sunset, you can enjoy dazzling views whilst swimming in the pool or sipping drinks from a lounger. By night, the covered porch transforms into an idyllic spot for Spanish-style barbecue meals.

From here, you’ll find it’s just a short drive to the beaches of the Costa del Sol, while the beautiful city of Málaga is just a little further along the coastline.

The Mountain Drift 

Blessed with a peaceful position in the Andalusian countryside, this rustic home is nearly two centuries old and if anything, it's getting more charming as the years go on.

The main reason for this is the way that the hosts find a balance between retaining period features with adding more contemporary amenities. Behind the home's whitewashed walls, you'll see wooden ceiling beams and a traditional fireplace, but also a modern kitchen and equally glossy bathrooms.

Given the local climate, you will probably want to spend as many waking hours in the open air as possible and there are plenty of ways to do just that across the ten-hectare site. Not only is the swimming pool especially cooling on hot afternoons, but it also looks out over sweeping views of local hillsides. If you're ever in need of a little shade, there's lots of space to sit and relax beneath the leafy pergola, too.

The address sure does feel secluded and the nearest village – Cómpeta – is just over two kilometres away, offering a small selection of shops and restaurants. A little further afield, the coastline lies about 20 kilometres away and there's a great selection of beaches from which to pick.

A Sense of Serenity

Fancy Mediterranean sea views from a private roof terrace, perfect for outdoor hangouts? This family-friendly apartment sits on a complex with a communal pool for summer stays, so expect a little noise around the shared facilities. We love that Las Dunas Beach is just 100 metres away, where restaurants line the promenade. There's also a free parking spot on-site, so how about planning a road trip along the Costa del Sol? Alternatively, your host can help arrange fun boat charters.

Get the pampering you deserve at this gorgeously modern penthouse apartment, offering views of the glittering Mediterranean sea. If you're thinking you'll have to make any big sacrifices to stay here, think again – wake up and draw the curtains to fantastic views, and head downstairs for a dip in one of two communal pools to start your day. Return and step out onto the balcony to rinse off in the outdoor shower, and whip up a home-cooked breakfast to be enjoyed alfresco.

Whether you're looking for days out on the beach or some retail therapy, you're in the right place. This home places you just a short drive from the small and sandy Playa Calaceite, which is perfect for catching some sun or heading out in the water for some snorkelling. Live like a local during your stay in Torrox – head to the weekly market for a unique souvenir and dine at wonderful local restaurants. In the evening, the balcony of this home is the perfect spot to gather with drinks and good conversation as the sun sets.

Going Down to the Sea

For beauty, space and tranquillity you’ve hit the jackpot. The villa has a separate annexe building (with a double bedroom, twin bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette) so it makes the perfect location for a family get together or catch up with friends. And there are sea views from both villa and annexe, so no need to squabble over rooms. The traditional Spanish village of Frigiliana is nearby, so you can have your fill of tasty tapas and be home to stargaze from the garden in five minutes. The sandy beaches of Nerja are seven minutes down the road. 


Sun Ripened

Set within stunning Southern Spanish countryside, this charming home offers so much more than mesmerising mountain views. A modern interior characterised by traditional touches makes for a comfortable living cum dining area complete with terracotta tiled floors, and a large fireside sofa, while the fully equipped kitchen allows for the preparation of tapas at any time. A glass enclosed lounge area allows you to soak up that Andalusian aura even on cooler days, but it is this home’s show stopping outdoor spaces that really seal the deal.  

Laze on sun loungers on the lawn or seek the shade of the palms and pines before cooling off with a dip in your private pool. Spend the afternoon grilling on the barbecue in the outdoor kitchen or trying your hand at making homemade pizzas in the outdoor oven before dining alfresco at the large dining table on the covered terrace.  As day turns to night take your drinks and gather on the curved white seating area to watch the sunset behind the awesome Almijara.

If you fancy venturing a little further afield, why not visit the Frigiliana, consistently voted one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. Distinctively Moorish in appearance, Frigiliana is home to a 17th century Archaeological Museum, the Santa Fiora botanical gardens and as well as narrow, winding, cobblestone streets full of small shops, tapas bars and restaurants. Why not sample some local seafood –Pescaito frito and molletes or pick up some supplies for a family picnic post wild swim in the Higueron river.

Located just 4 kilometres from Torrox, this stylish home offers a scenic retreat from which to enjoy the delights of the Andalusian coast. 

Inside, tall ceilings, tiled floors and contemporary decor set a welcoming scene in the open-plan living area. Open the glass doors here to step out onto a private patio where a shaded dining area facing the surrounding picturesque hills beckons alfresco feasts aplenty courtesy of the barbecue. Around the corner, you’ll also find a shimmering plunge pool – the ideal way to unwind at any time of day or night, a glass of bubbly in hand. Alternatively, take in the breathtaking vistas from the bedroom’s picture window-facing armchair and feel inspired to work on something creative at the handy desk space just next to it. 

When it comes to exploring outside your home, make a beeline for the nearby beaches (3.1 kilometres away) or visit some of the charming villages in the vicinity, including Frigiliana and Nerja, both under 20 kilometres from your door. 


Inigo

It's easy peasy lemon squeezy to sit back and relax in this Mediterranean paradise. And with panoramic views stretching over the valley and out to sea, you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to choosing your spot on the porch or out by the private swimming pool in the secluded garden. 

Breathe in the fresh aromatics of the home's vegetable garden, growing seasonal fares, such as tomatoes, cucumbers, aubergines, fava beans, garlic, onions, sugar canes, and tropical products, such as avocadoes, mangoes, pitayas, lychees. The host welcomes you to pick the produce when it's ripe to use when cooking up your own culinary delights in the kitchen or on the barbecue grill. You'll also find fresh eggs at the henhouse that you can select for free – meaning there should always be something available for breakfast in the morning. 

The home's interior offers just as much Mediterranean charm as original features, and traditional Andalusian styles inject character into the otherwise minimal modern designs. While we think hanging out, sunbathing and making a splash in the pool present enough to keep you feeling refreshed and revitalised, you'll also be located just 3 kilometres away from the nearest beach and within easy reach of the local town of Torrox. 


Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy 

If you’re looking for a villa with a view, your search is over. Step into this home and out onto your sun-drenched terrace, and you will be met with sea views as far as the eye can reach. It’s what we love most about this home and you can almost feel the waves washing a sense of calm over you. With a saltwater infinity pool and a delightful area for alfresco dining, you have plentiful options when it comes to finding somewhere to enjoy those vistas. 

Nestled in the hills of Málaga, you have the best of both worlds – Spanish countryside and the sea nearby. Characterised by the wash of terracotta, this home is contemporary with a traditional Spanish feel. It’s a home just asking for friends or family to gather, rest, relax, and enjoy a little downtime together.

We’d recommend hiring a car to get to the nearby towns, handy, then, that this home also has a private garage – and for those fitness fanatics, there’s an on-site gym too. 

Wicker & Waves

This stunning Andalusian villa is the perfect getaway for a holiday with your loved ones. The interior of the home is very nicely designed, but it’s the exterior we’re most enthusiastic about. With an infinity pool, ping-pong table and several lovely terraces (including a rooftop one) we don’t blame you if you’d like to spend all your time here. If you want the best of both – the beach is a thirty-minute walk away and the beautiful cities of Málaga and Granada are roughly an hour’s drive down the road.
