This bright and comfortable apartment is just a stone’s throw from the Royal Palace of Madrid. The official residence of the Head of State is open to the public, so you can explore the spot where centuries of Spanish history took place. The apartment is also just in front of the Sabatini Gardens, and 100 metres from Príncipe Pio train station. Plaza de España is only a five-minute walk away, too. Two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room, so things might feel a little crowded – you’re unlikely to be spending much time at home though.

The Plaza de España right outside the flat is a great place to familiarise yourself with the city – go for a stroll, and soak up the atmosphere of this popular meeting place. Culture fans can take a five-minute walk to the Royal Palace of Madrid to soak up the sense of history, and enjoy a wander through the Jardines de Sabatini afterwards. And, as this home isn’t the biggest, and the bedroom is separated from the open-plan living, dining room and kitchen with a curtain, we think it’s best suited to families or groups happy to share their space. The kitchen is fine for whipping up light bites, but for more extensive meals, we’d recommend dining out at a local Spanish eatery.

Nestled on the 23rd floor of the iconic Torre de Madrid building in the Plaza de España square, this apartment is a truly special find. Not only does it place you right in the heart of the city, but it also has a range of amenities and plenty of style to ensure your stay is a roaring success. 

The views are simply to die for – pour a glass of Rioja and gaze out across the Spanish capital from the chic living room. This is the perfect place to relax at the end of a busy day, high above the hustle and bustle. When the temperature rises, you can take a refreshing dip in the rooftop swimming pool, before catching some rays in the solarium and then refueling with some home-cooked dishes fresh from the zesty green kitchen. 

Down on the ground floor, you can hit the theatres, bars, and restaurants lining Gran Via Avenue, which is just across the road. Drop your bags and settle into this Madrid apartment, ideal for families and friend groups alike. While there is space for up to eight, the maximum occupancy is six so you can guarantee there'll be room for everyone. The main bedroom enjoys an en-suite bathroom, and all the bedrooms have windows to an interior patio which provides natural light. The location is central, so while there is the potential for outside noise, you'll have hotspots like Parque del Oeste and Madrid's Royal Palace nearby, with public transport for easy exploration.

In the heart of Madrid, just a few metres away from Plaza Mayor and within walking distance of Puerta del Sol, this city apartment couldn't be better located. Keep in mind that some noise should be expected here, but we think it's a small price to pay for this central spot. You'll find a great selection of restaurants on your doorstep if you'd like to sample the local cuisine, but if you'd prefer to dine in, the kitchen is well-equipped for homemade tapas.

After the plates are cleared, plan your itinerary at the dining table. We recommend starting with the Royal Palace, a mere ten-minute walk from your doorstep. If you’d like to stretch your legs a little further, it’s a thirty-minute stroll to El Retiro Park. Pause for a coffee on the buzzing Calle Cava Baja before picking a spot to bask in the sunshine beside El Retiro Lake.

The location won’t be for everyone – it’s on a busy street in Malasaña, so it isn’t very peaceful, but there’s loads to do and you won’t get bored.
