While we love the bright interior, it may be a better pick for light packers, as there isn't a lot of space in the bedrooms for storage. It's a shame the dining area doesn't seat six, though the kitchen offers another table for two. How about sunset-watching on the balcony after a day spent exploring Madrid?

We love the bright living area, and the two snug bedrooms channel Spanish sunshine with their yellow paint. Size-wise, it's rather compact but still comfortable – just note that it's on the second floor and lacks a lift.

Located in the north-most part of Salamanca, El Bodegón combines a sense of luxury and with a prime shopping destination of the nearby Calle Serrano (and the proximity to the sights). This is a luxuriously comfortable home that made us want to sink into the comfy sofa and rest, or enjoy a great book on the closed balcony. The master bathroom, as pretty as it is, feels a bit narrow, but it's still well-equipped and comfortable. 

El Bodegón

This lovely, light-filled apartment is your ticket to experiencing the best of Madrid. Located in Chamberí, a historic and upmarket district, this fresh home is a tranquil hideaway from the hustle and bustle of the streets below. The home has been designed to provide easy access to everything you might need, whether your stay is for business or pleasure. The sleek kitchen merges with a clean and simple dining area, while the sitting room is more than spacious enough to crash out and watch your favourite shows. There’s even a dedicated workstation tucked away, just in case you need to check in with the office during your stay. Outside, the Madrid Metro keeps you connected to the rest of the city. Molten Brass is neat and tidy. There isn’t a lot that jumps out at you, but that’s not necessarily a problem – the atmosphere inside is pretty calm. That stands in contrast to the atmosphere on the street below, which is pretty intense, but that’s because you’re in the heart of Malasaña, so there’s tonnes to do. As is common with any flat that is rented out all the time, there’s a lack of personality but the attention to detail, and generally pleasant, if simple, design help make the flat feel more homely.


Molten Brass

In the heart of Madrid’s artsiest neighbourhood, Barrio de las Letras, this studio apartment is the perfect base for a cultural city break. First of all, you’ve got the world-famous Prado museum a five-minute walk away, then there’s the sprawling greenery of Retiro Park, just seven minutes on foot. If locally-grown fresh food and lazy lunches of tapas are your thing, head to Antón Martín Market, an eight-minute walk away.

Perhaps stock up and head back to your quiet bolthole, where a compact but fully-equipped kitchen awaits. The interior is clean, with a few things that really standout, like the kitchen splashback, which is not something we get to highlight very often. For the most part, the furniture and decorations come from Maison du Monde, so it’s solid and stylish, if not unique. The location won’t be for everyone – it’s on a busy street in Malasaña, so it isn’t very peaceful, but there’s loads to do and you won’t get bored.


Molten Bronze

Despite being located in the heart of Malasaña, Autumn Jungle is tucked away on a quiet street. Walking to Plaza Mayor or Palacio Real will be a breeze, but the nearby streets of Madrid's trendiest neighbourhood will have you stopping in art galleries and cosy bars along the way. This is a well-executed home with curated artwork, where special attention has been given to the details. It might not be the biggest home in our collection, but it has a pleasant, bohemian chic vibe that fits in perfectly in the spirit of Malasaña. 

Autumn Jungle

This elegant apartment situated between the Salamanca and Goya areas is a lovely base for a family or a group of friends visiting Madrid, offering all the comforts of home as well as a central location.
