With its industrial loft-style layout and myriad artworks, this chic apartment in Madrid’s Chueca neighbourhood is ideal for those looking for a central, characterful stay in the city. We love the openness of this home with the living room boasting French doors that give way to Juliet balconies – ideal for sipping your coffee in the morning while taking in views of the hustle and bustle below. Catch up on work at the cool wooden desk space or kick back on the sofa while listening to some tunes on the record player. The modern kitchen is dazzlingly sleek, creating a funky juxtaposition with its beamed ceilings and rustic dining table that beckons celebratory meals over Spanish wine and tapas. The bedroom, meanwhile, is calm and elegant with a muted palette that will ease you into a restful night’s sleep ahead of a day of sightseeing. Speaking of exploring, you couldn’t be better placed to see some of Madrid’s most iconic sights, including Gran Vía for its stellar shopping (a three-minute walk), El Retiro Park (a twenty-minute walk), the Royal Palace of Madrid (also a twenty-minute walk) and Plaza Mayor (a thirteen-minute walk).


El Rey

Cosy and charming, this apartment nestled in the heart of the vibrant centre of Madrid is the perfect spot for a romantic city break for two. While outside you’ll find yourself amidst the hustle and bustle of the capital, here you’ll be able to relax and enjoy total peace and tranquillity. 

The place might be small in scale but it never feels cramped – you’ll have plenty of room to relax in the comfy living area, under the watchful eye of Audrey Hepburn gazing down from the wall. Enjoy snuggly evenings of Spanish wine and conversation here – you can also rustle up quick and delicious meals in the bright and modern kitchen. Savour them at the elegant dining table, ideal for candlelit suppers – in case you have some laptop work to catch up on this is also the place to get that out of the way.
 
Meanwhile, the plush bed in the bedroom promises a good night’s rest – awake restored and ready for another day of city adventures. With most of Madrid’s most iconic sights within walking distance, you’ll find yourself spoiled for choice when it comes to things to do. Start by picking a direction – there’s magic awaiting around every corner.

Settle into the Spanish lifestyle with a stay at this fantastic apartment in the vibrant Malasaña district. With plenty of room for a family or group of friends, you can kick back and relax between adventures, making the most of this beautifully designed space. 

The living area is a haven of calm away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's cloaked in soft pastel tones, and has plenty of comfortable seating where you can curl up with a glass of Rioja at the end of a long day. The kitchen is perfect for cooking up your favourite dishes, which you can serve at the chic dining space, complete with stylish pendant lighting and parquet flooring. And, there's even a breakfast bar where you can enjoy a quick bite to eat and a fresh coffee from the Newspresso machine before you get going in the morning. 

The surrounding barrio is full of indie coffee shops and market stalls lining the winding streets. It's a great place to while away a day as you browse the vintage boutiques, before enjoying a craft cocktail at one of the local bars. And, Madrid's grandest sights are within easy reach too – the Palacio Real de Madrid is just fifteen minutes away on foot, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum is just over twenty minutes away.

Found in the heart of Madrid, only minutes away from the Royal Palace, the iconic Plaza Mayor, and the Catedral de la Almudena, this home charms with a maximalist approach. Expect gallery walls, a bold colour palette, and an enticing blend of old and new. 

The sleek kitchen might be compact, but with enough space to cobble a light breakfast together. Enjoy it at the striking marble dining table before setting off for a day out in the city. Explore the vibrance of the city – a trait it happily shares with the home – stopping off at cafes and restaurants for lunch when not appreciating the art at a gallery or jumping on public transport to get to another landmark. 

Return to the cosy sofa and fireplace for comfort after a day out, or retreat to your bedroom, where you can get comfortable with a cup of coffee and a good book. However, with the living space perfectly set up for socialising, why not pour a glass of wine, light the fire and break out the board games, chatting late into the morning hours?


The Maximalist

Modern and bright, this home in Madrid’s centre – just a one-minute walk from Gran Vía – is a treat for those looking to make the most out of the city’s attractions. 

A laid-back beach vibe sets a relaxing tone in the home’s decor, with wood floors, wicker and macrame ornaments as well as a large leafy houseplant adding to the serene feel. We love how much natural light fills the main living space and the glass doors that lead out onto a Juliet balcony – the ideal spot to perch while enjoying your morning coffee. Evenings call for meals prepared by a private chef (your host can organise this) in the sleek kitchen and dining area, while a peaceful night’s sleep is on the cards in the tropical-accented bedroom. 

When you’re not chilling out in your chic pad, go out and explore the city. You’re a ten-minute walk from Plaza Mayor, a fifteen-minute stroll from the Royal Palace of Madrid and twenty minutes on foot from the Museo Nacional del Prado. With your host able to organise everything from personal shoppers to chauffeurs, wine tours and tickets to events and museums, there’s no end to the enjoyment and fun in store. 


Siempre Sol

This cosy and comfortable apartment is a great base in the heart of Madrid. You can look forward to returning to a modern space after seeing the sights – and you don’t have to travel far for those. You’re only 300 metres from Gran Via, and are also within easy reach of Plaza Mayor. You’re within easy reach of countless restaurants and bars, too, so you’ll really get to experience the best of the city. Two guests will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the living room, but we think that’s a fair trade-off for a location as convenient as this. 

La Nueva Vida

This apartment is an urban masterpiece. Designed to incorporate the serenity of the earth and all its textures, the decor will leave you feeling totally zen. Where do we start, when every inch of this Madrilenian home has been thoughtfully pieced together? As you turn away from the delightful cityscape view on your terrace, you leave behind a dining setting bathed in the Spanish sun. Entering the lounge, you are met with an open-plan space. Punctuated with delightful light reflecting mirrors, cosy candles and elaborate greenery, this is the ideal spot to share a bottle of wine with loved ones. When you’re ready to freshen up for the evening, take your pick of a calming rainfall shower or a deep standalone tub to relax the day away. 

When you wake in the morning, you’ll feel refreshed in one of two African-inspired bedrooms. Earthy jungle tones, light space and large luxurious beds will ensure you manage some shut-eye. Moving into the kitchen for a morning coffee, you are met with the same elegance – the marble backdrop is exquisite. As you wander, mug in hand, back to your terrace, explore a little further – this wrap-around balcony provides panoramic views of the sunrise and comfortable wicker furniture to kick off your slippers and take in the morning air. Situated in central Madrid, you have an array of delightful gourmet pit stops on your doorstep – so take advantage of what’s on offer. 

Jungle Gem

The Narcisse is only a few minutes away from Calle Fuencarral, one of our favourite shopping streets in Madrid. To say that it's centrally located is an understatement, especially since this home is practically surrounded by Malasaña's finest quirky cafes and restaurants. Narcisse is an ambitious home – the golden details are risky but well-balanced with calmer tones, and the layout is (rightfully) focused on maximising the natural light, which mostly comes from the French doors. But in the end, this home won us over with the urban view.

The Narcisse

This chic and attractive apartment has everything you might need for a comfortable city break. It’s located in Chueca, one of Madrid’s liveliest neighbourhoods, full of cafes, boutiques, and bars. Despite its central location, this is a peaceful home-from-home, ideal for unwinding after busy sightseeing days and evenings spent feasting on tapas. It’s bright and welcoming, flooded with light, and has been beautifully decorated in muted tones. Two guests will sleep on a sofa bed in the living room – if you’re hoping for more space, we’d recommend a maximum occupancy of two. 

The Bohemian Retreat

In the heart of Madrid's Malasaña neighbourhood, this contemporary apartment offers the perfect base to explore the city. Just a five-minute walk from the iconic Gran Via and ten minutes from the lively Chueca neighbourhood, you're surrounded by the city's best restaurants, bars, and shops. Don’t feel like dining out? Back home the kitchen, though cosy, has everything needed to rustle up a hearty dish of paella to end the day. And with the apartment’s seamless blend of modern and rustic, and the mirrored ceiling adding a sense of space, you’ll find it easy to relax here. 

Heart of Malasaña

There’s a cool serenity to this home in Madrid’s lively Chueca neighbourhood with its blue and white living space and bohemian, Japanese-inspired decor. Mellow out on the sofa while listening to a vinyl record or catch up on work at the long desk in the forest green second bedroom. Carefully curated design details – like the master bedroom’s half-moon headboard – give the space a modern feel while the wicker and wood accents lend a peaceful feeling of nature to the proceedings. Our favourite spot, however, is the private balcony with its views over the city’s rooftops. Sit here with your morning coffee while catching some Spanish rays or take in breathtaking sunset views over a glass of Spanish wine. Outside of your home, your Chueca locale is packed with cosy sidewalk cafes, tapas bars, restaurants and a vibrant bar scene, as well as boutiques, and popular markets like San Antón (a ten-minute walk) and Plaza del Dos de Mayo (a four-minute walk). Elsewhere there’s plenty of retail therapy to enjoy along Gran Vía (a fifteen-minute walk) and both the Royal Palace of Madrid and El Retiro Park are walkable in twenty-four minutes. 


Blue Dusk

Just a short distance from Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, this apartment drops you in the heart of the action. Sure, it’s fuss-free in design and some of the spaces are a little cosy, but you’ll find everything needed for a comfortable stay here. And for us, location is key. Some of the iconic hotspots in the local area include the Royal Palace of Madrid and the Almudena Cathedral. Ready to venture further afield? Hop on the nearby metro to explore the city with ease.
