You need only walk ten minutes to reach Plaza Major and twelve minutes to Puerta del Sol. You can also easily reach the metro, so seeing further-afield sights is as easy as can be. This well-connected neighbourhood is full of bars, shops and restaurants, too, making it a convenient base for your stay – though you might want to pack earplugs.

In the heart of Madrid, just a few metres away from Plaza Mayor and within walking distance of Puerta del Sol, this city apartment couldn't be better located. Keep in mind that some noise should be expected here, but we think it's a small price to pay for this central spot. You'll find a great selection of restaurants on your doorstep if you'd like to sample the local cuisine, but if you'd prefer to dine in, the kitchen is well-equipped for homemade tapas.

Located right in the centre of Madrid within walking distance of its cultural treasures, this apartment is its own gallery of miscellaneous wonders perched high above the pavements. Starting from the fuzzy caterpillar-like chaise lounge in the living room that sets the eclectic glamorous tone, this home puts just about everything in the mix, from boldly patterned wallpaper and towering palm plants to the Asian dresser in the living area and the bright blue countertop. It's fair to say that we loved it. A small balcony in one of the bedrooms was the cherry on the cake and is perfect for when you want a blast of fresh air on a stuffy afternoon. If you want to head out exploring, Museo Nacional del Prado is just over ten minutes' walk away, while Palacio de Cristal in the middle of Parque de el Retiro takes around twenty-five.

You couldn’t get closer to Madrid’s leafy El Retiro Park – it’s situated on an idyllic street that leads right off the park itself. Look out your window for luscious tree views or walk a few steps and you’ll be surrounded by roses in The Rosaleda. 
 
As you walk into the open-plan space, you’ll immediately be struck by the dazzling amount of natural light pouring in through the wall of windows. Curated with a modern eye for design, the living area sets a striking impression with its glossy red kitchen and statement, ash blue wall. Make yourself comfortable on the plump sofa or armchair with a cold cerveza after a day of sightseeing, before sinking into the serene-hued bedroom for a restful night’s sleep, leaving you feeling refreshed and ready for another day of city exploring.

It's not a scratch-free home, but one that feels lived in and furnished with a personality. The high ceiling and use of wood in almost every room give it a warm and welcoming vibe.

With an understated, soothing colour palette highlighted by the natural light flooding through the windows, you'll feel at home the moment you step through the front door. Its central location means you're surrounded by tempting tapas bars, charming neighbourhood cafes, and plenty of beautiful streets to wander down with no particular goal. So after a long day of adventuring, snuggle up on the cosy sofa and stream a classic Pedro Almodóvar movie before retreating to the serene bedrooms for a restful night's sleep. In the morning, sip on a cup of coffee as the colourful streets come to life below. This modern apartment trades in centuries of history for bright and shiny interiors (you’ve got plenty of history outside). Naturally, the living space features two huge glass doors leading you to a private balcony facing on to the celebrated square. We would love to spend some time every day here strolling around the beautiful Retiro Park which used to belong to the Spanish Monarchy until it was opened up to the public to enjoy in the late nineteenth century. Wander through the green space, admiring the fountains and statues of Spaniards before taking a break in one of the open-air cafes. 

Hop on public transport to explore even more sights and attractions of Madrid, including the Plaza Mayor – reachable in twenty-nine minutes. Then, after a busy day, dine at one of the restaurants in the neighbourhood which are within a four-minute walk. Or, enjoy a tapas meal together at home before retiring to the sofa in the cosy living room nook with a glass of sangria.

You’re a five-minute walk from the Museo Nacional del Prado, less than fifteen from the sprawling Retiro Park and twenty from the Royal Palace. When all of that exploring works up a hunger, check out your neighbourhood’s impressive culinary scene. Find a tapas bar for a tipple and a bite to eat or try out international cuisine in sleek dining rooms.

With a fantastic address, just off the Paseo de la Castellana, this apartment has a wealth of attractions nearby. The upmarket districts of Salamanca, Chamberi and Justicia are all close, so you'll have plenty of fine restaurants, chic boutiques and art galleries to enjoy. With one of Madrid's main avenues on your doorstep, the slight downside is you will hear some street noise here, but it's easily fixed with some earplugs if you're a light sleeper. We have to say, we love the views over Plaza Villa de París from this home. The kitchen is well-equipped, so you can cook some homemade meals or let your host arrange a private chef to create some of your favourite tapas dishes.

Malasaña is famous for being slightly outrageous, which is probably why Queen of the Castle is in it. A tour of this home reveals a glamorous hybrid design theme that balances modern baroque-inspired pieces with jungle and safari themes – dear lovers of minimalism, you might want to stay elsewhere. But if gold-coated flora and fauna with an occasional crown-cum-skull ensemble sound like heaven to you, then you'll find Queen of the Castle an absolute delight. Not to mention that you'll be within walking distance to Puerta del Sol and the vibrant neighbourhood of Chueca.

Despite being located in the heart of Malasaña, Autumn Jungle is tucked away on a quiet street. Walking to Plaza Mayor or Palacio Real will be a breeze, but the nearby streets of Madrid's trendiest neighbourhood will have you stopping in art galleries and cosy bars along the way. This is a well-executed home with curated artwork, where special attention has been given to the details. It might not be the biggest home in our collection, but it has a pleasant, bohemian chic vibe that fits in perfectly in the spirit of Malasaña.
