If you fancy some sun, sea, and sand, then gather up your favourite people for a fabulous trip to the island of Mallorca. With a range of excellent amenities and plenty of space to relax, there's something for everyone here. 

Guests of all ages will feel right at home in this bright and airy house. If you want to hide from the heat, then make yourself comfortable in the living room with a good book, or stretch out on a lounger under the shade of a parasol. From here, you can wander down to Portals Nous Beach within just seven minutes to paddle in the clear waters and kick back on the sand to soak up some rays. Portals Nous itself also has a range of seafood restaurants and chic bars along the marina, where you can sip a glass of wine and watch the boats bobbing in the water. And, if you fancy a day trip to the historic city of Palma, you can drive over to visit the cathedral and fortress within fifteen minutes.

This fabulous period townhouse is a real find. Authentic, beautifully styled and packed with character, it's a homage to the city and its history. Set over five floors, including the stunning roof terrace, its green shuttered windows and balconies are in keeping with the area's traditional feel, and the interior, while stylish and comfortable, reminds us of a museum. Whites and terracotta tones make for a timeless feel, while architectural features like the marble staircase and beamed ceilings provide a backdrop to a collection of antiques, vintage artworks and local artefacts – some even displayed in cabinets. 

The living space is exquisite, with windows to three sides, a comfy sofa and an open plan kitchen and dining space, and although the kitchen isn't huge, the host has managed to pack in everything you could need. But we think you're likely to be eating on the roof terrace most evenings. With its own small preparation kitchen to save you lugging dishes up the stairs, this space is simply beautiful. Eat together at the little table, read on the sun loungers or just take in the views across the rooftops. Given some privacy by a series of screening curtains, it's a superb place to watch the sun go down with a good bottle of wine.

Within walking distance of two sandy beaches, we found this villa to be a sun lover's paradise – we're suckers for a home with a sea view. Ideal for both families or a group of friends, the private pool lets you spend time together privately as a group. And if the sun gets too much, there's plenty of space indoors to relax, while the pergola is perfect for shaded alfresco dining. If you decide to explore, you'll find both Port Adriano and Port Andratx close by.

Perched on a cliff just outside of Port Adriano, this impressive home has to be seen to be believed. Boasting an infinity pool, floor-to-ceiling windows, and every amenity you could ask for, this home makes holidays to Mallorca extra special. 

The double bedrooms look out to sea, so you can wake up to the soothing sight of bobbing waves and yachts passing by. This home has been designed to make the most of the superlative views afforded by the cliff-top setting, so you can expect lots of glass – the turquoise of the sea becomes part of the colour palette. 

The villa is just a five-minute drive from Port Adriano, where you’ll find shops and restaurants, and the port, of course. From here you can set sail on a boat tour of the coast or, if you prefer to keep your feet on dry land, simply sip coffee as you watch the boats pull in. A day trip to Palma might also be on the cards – it’s thirty-five minutes away. There you can stroll the historic streets, dine in top-notch restaurants and explore galleries and museums – it’s well worth the journey. 

After a day spent seeing the sights, head back to the villa to swim in the infinity pool or lounge in a day bed. The small indoor pool proves tempting in the evening when you can see the stars through sliding glass doors. There’s also a telescope set up in the living room for keen stargazers. 

Round off your day by watching the magnificent sunset with a glass of something chilled. This isn’t the kind of holiday you quickly forget.

Once you've admired the hundreds of artworks here, many of which are by artists from the Balearic Islands, head up to its roof terrace for fabulous views over the bay. Or soak in the atmosphere at the historic Plaza Mayor, the heart and soul of Palma Old Town, just a one minute amble from this apartment's quiet street. Other attractions nearby include the Cathedral of Santa Maria of Palma (La Seu), a six-minute walk away. For a day on the beach, pop over to Can Pere Antoni, which is twenty minutes on foot. Later, if you love browsing a local market like us, there are a couple within a five-minute amble. Olivar Market has lots of local delicacies, or pick up some flowers from the stalls on Passeig de la Rambla and take them back home.

The Birth Of The Day

Although this apartment's located in an eighteenth-century mansion in Palma's Old Town, the interior is delightfully modern. The minimalist kitchen is dominated by sleek finishes, while the living room's stark white walls and wooden floorboards look similarly smart.

That's not to say it's completely anonymous, though. There are some Asian influences in the decorations, particularly the elephant statue and the orange patterned rug. We're also big fans of the intricate mosaic tiling in the bathroom too, also in sunset tones.

When you want a breath of fresh air, simply step out onto the home's balcony and gaze out onto the street below. Plaça Major sits just one minute's walk away and Museu Fundació Joan March is another sixty seconds beyond that. The city's gothic cathedral only takes six minutes to reach on foot, too.

Bright and stylish, this villa makes for an excellent base in Mallorca. It’s just outside of Puerto de Andratx, so the shops, cafes and restaurants of the town are a short drive away, but it feels like a real escape. The villa sits on the coast with stunning views of the sea – it’s a holiday haven. 

We love the stylish decor here. Each room is chic and attractive, with windows that flood the space with sunshine. The prominence of windows also means that the glorious coastal views become part of the decor – from waking up to drifting off to sleep, you can look forward to wonderful sea views and clear skies. 

Of course, with such beautiful vistas outside, you’ll probably want to spend as much time as possible in the fresh air.
