Four en-suite bedrooms are split across the entrance and lower levels, offering either an elevated position that will see you wake up to the morning sun glinting off the sea or seamless access to the poolside loungers for the ultimate morning coffee by the water's edge. Two of the bedrooms even offer walk-in wardrobes, so you can pack for every possible eventuality. 

Away from the villa, Alcúdia's Old Town is just a short drive away. Here, you'll find colourful streets dotted with family-owned restaurants and independent boutiques, encircled by medieval walls. This villa has everything you need for a luxurious stay on the Mallorcan coast. The location is fantastic – two beaches are easily reached on foot, while historic Alcúdia is just 2 kilometres away – but that's not the only thing that caught our eye. Back home, there's an inviting swimming pool, an eight-seater Jacuzzi, and an array of sun-kissed terraces to take advantage of. Preparing dinner is a breeze in the outdoor kitchen, or, for the ultimate indulgence, hire a private chef to do all the cooking for you. There's also plenty of space here for large groups, with four people sleeping in a guest house – though it does cost a fee to use.

This home caught our eye with its mountain views and beautiful location. Nestled in the countryside of Cielo de Bonaire, there’s plenty to explore here. From hiking trails and nearby beaches to the bustling heart of Alcúdia, this is a great option for families. You will need a car to get around, but free private parking is available. There is also a private pool and plenty of chill out spots to relax both inside and out. The main bedroom comes with an en-suite bathroom and a private balcony, while the room with bunk beds is a sweet option for kids.

There’s an uplifting quality to this home. It’s the kind of space where you can get lost in sea views and the magic of island living. 

Located in the La Gola area of Pollença, it’s the perfect setting to enjoy the laid–back atmosphere of the town. And like the landscape that surrounds it, the interior of this home feels bright and warm. You’ll love opening the doors and stepping onto the balcony – this is a wonderful spot to watch the sunrise with your morning coffee or enjoy an afternoon siesta in the shade. 

From here you can walk to the beach, amble along the Pine Walk and make a stop in any of the cafés, restaurants or bars along this stretch of coastline – it’s only a ten–minute walk into the centre. Plus the nearest supermarket and bakery are only a five–minute walk away. 

With your basket full of supplies make your way home to watch the sunset across the horizon. We won’t be surprised if the balcony becomes your favourite place to eat on the island.

A former fisherman's house, this waterside villa is now a modern home for romantic couples and small groups of friends and family looking for a relaxing retreat. Make a beeline straight for the lower-floor terrace, and take in the wide, sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea and Cap de Formentor – trust us, you'll be blown away. 

Left completely open, so you can watch the waves lap up against the shore while enjoying morning coffees and evening aperitifs, it's a magical spot to unwind. Fully furnished with a dining table that comfortably seats the entire group and an inviting lounge area, this one will be hard to leave. Elsewhere, white, polished wood and a grey colour palette create chic, minimalist interiors. 

After a gentle start, pack your seaside essentials and take the thirteen-minute stroll to the nearest beach at Platja Es Morer Vermell. Spend hot afternoons swimming in the sea and sunbathing on the soft sand. End the day with a drink in the charming town of Alcúdia, just ten minutes away by car.

Escape to the beautiful Balearics with a stay in this contemporary villa. Based right on the water, in the affluent Mal Pas neighbourhood, you’ve got direct beach access to Sant Pere and Sant Joan. Here you’ll find white sands, turquoise seas that are perfect for snorkelling and rustic beach bars serving ice-cold beers. The villa is a real head-turner, with angular shapes, and sightlines straight through the living area to the ocean and mountains. Interiors are modern with design-forward furniture in neutral tones and a white gloss kitchen, but the exposed blonde stone gives a nod to traditional Mallorcan architecture. The oh-so-chic pool area has us wanting to break out the bikini right away, and there couldn’t be a dreamier place to top up the tan than the roof terrace, with its shimmering vista. Be the first to hit the beach and the last to leave, with a quick break for lunch on the shady terrace. Come sundown, the roof terrace beckons, for sangria and nibbles. 

The Colour Of The Sun

Situated in the historic centre of Alcudia, this home is close to a beach (900 metres away) while Puerto Alcudia is around 2 kilometres from this abode. If you want a refreshing dip, you don’t have to go anywhere, though, as there’s a small private pool in the courtyard garden with its palm trees and mellow stone walls. Inside there are plenty of character features, as well as a wood burner for chillier nights. A highlight, for sure, is the large main bedroom with its bank of wardrobe space – there’s plenty of room for all of your clothes, no matter how long you stay.

From the moment we pulled up outside and saw the setting, we were in love with this gorgeous stone-built home with its mesmerising views over the Mediterranean. Relax on the comfy L-shaped sofa in the stylish living room and drink them in or head to the mezzanine sitting room. Our favourite spot is the Eames-style rocking chair in the bedroom with its lovely beams. 

Outdoors is beautiful, too, and wonderfully private and secluded, thanks to its warm stone walls. Cook up a Mallorcan feast in the outdoor kitchen and enjoy it on the shaded terrace surrounded by cacti and potted palms. Then laze on the sunbeds in the Balearic sun – that's our kind of holiday. This place is absolutely perfect for families.

The location is great too – the charming town of Port de Pollença, with its restaurants and shops, as well as the fine sandy beach, is just three minutes by car, while Can Cullerassa Beach, used mainly by locals, is under 50 metres away.

Perched on the clifftop in Bonaire, just a few steps away from the water, this penthouse apartment is the epitome of island living. Unforgettable views come at you from every angle, whether you're sipping cocktails on the balcony, lounging on the sumptuous sofa in the living area or barbecuing on the rooftop terrace. The latter makes for a top spot to dine alfresco and watch the sunset over the glimmering water – trust us, it's as idyllic as it looks.

Inside, the design is modern, bright and all about that sea scenery. The main bedroom is a showstopper – after a day of hiking along the rugged coast, soothe aching muscles in the en-suite jacuzzi bathtub where the vistas are so good, you'll never want to get out. 

But when you do decide to pull yourself away, there are a few bars and restaurants within walking distance, plus plenty more in Alcúdia, ten minutes away by car. Adrenaline junkies can jump off the rocks and swim right in front of the home, but for a more laid-back beach day, Platja de San Pere is a ten-minute stroll away.

Just a short stroll from Alcanada beach, this villa makes an ideal family getaway on the Mallorcan coast. If you’re bringing little ones, they’ll need to be supervised in the outdoor area as the pool’s not fenced and there’s a drop at the end of the pool, but this sun-kissed space is perfect for lazy afternoons at home – albeit a little overlooked by the neighbouring home. If you need some respite from the sun, there’s even a games room here, providing an easy way to while away the hours.

Port d'Alcúdia is all about the beach, and this bright and comfortable apartment couldn’t be better placed for all that is seaboard. The crisp white interior gives way to views of the bustling seashore, gently swaying palm trees and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea. Sit sipping sangria on the lovely second-floor balcony – it’s a prime people-watching spot – as boats bob around in the nearby marina. 

The one-minute walk to the beach is a breeze, no matter how many bags you’re carrying, and there are shops, supermarkets and restaurants within strolling distance. It’ll be easy to stock up on cooking essentials to prepare meals in the all-white kitchen, where there’s plenty of space for rustling up simple suppers or lavish brunches. Whether you’re on a family holiday or travelling with friends, there’s plenty to keep everyone occupied.

We also like the small but sunny patio, complete with a plunge pool, lounge chairs and cosy outdoor sofas where you can unwind with a glass of sangria after a day out and about. A breezy, but slightly boring living area awaits inside. Style-wise, it's not the most exciting, but we think families will likely appreciate the fuss-free, open-plan design.

An immaculate contemporary dream, located just 100 metres from the beach, this vibrant home welcomes you in and wraps you up in a colourful hug. The interiors are a modern masterpiece, with each room tastefully themed and awash with character – it so perfectly epitomises bold and beautiful. Feature clocks are peppered throughout the villa, but time won’t fly here – quite the opposite, in this peaceful home. 

Our favourite spot, although hard to choose with so much to love here, is the ensuite to the main bedroom. Step down into your jetted tub, sunken into the floor, and all you'll need is a glass of bubbles for ultimate relaxation. If you are ready for a quiet night in, the electric fire will set the ambience perfectly as you sink into your deep comfortable sofa. You’re guaranteed a restful night's sleep with relaxation at the core of this villa. 

In the morning, sip your coffee on your private balcony, overlooking the manicured gardens and picturesque sea. Spend your days relaxing by your private pool and fire up the barbecue under the olive tree for a little lunch alfresco. If you fancy venturing into the local area, meander through the old walled town of Alcudia for a touch of traditional Spain. With restaurants, bars and shops all within walking distance, spending days at the beach will be one of many options.

Time on Our Hands

This Spanish home makes the perfect base from which to explore stunning Alcúdia, as well as many other beach towns along the Mallorcan coast. We absolutely love how the host has decorated – original features such as wooden beam ceilings and exposed brickwork come together with modern lighting and contemporary furniture, to make the home feel fresh and modern while still retaining the Spanish character that makes it so special. Here, you’re just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, where you can enjoy a cocktail in a sun lounger or try your hand at some water sports – there are also tons of lovely restaurants and cafes in this charming seaside town, based just a stone’s throw away from your lovely accommodation.

We reckon there’s no better way to start your day than by cooking up some crepes in your Spanish country kitchen and eating together around your quaint kitchen dining set. Rest on the comfy sofa while you discuss your daily itinerary. Head outside to find your covered terrace, complete with a dining set and places to lounge on hot summery days. Cook up some Spanish tortilla in the kitchen while you gaze out at the palm trees lining your street. In the evenings, fire up the barbecue to grill Spanish sausages, and take a bottle of champagne to your terrace area to enjoy sipping on as the sun sets.

This traditional villa is an ideal base if you’re looking for somewhere with a nearby beach and within walking distance of beautiful Port de Pollença, its picturesque coastline and great selection of eateries. While it’s not the most luxurious of our homes, it’s comfortable, well-equipped, and the private pool provides some welcome relief from the heat of the Spanish sun. The sandy beach at Roca de Llenaire is just a short walk away, perfect for those craving a complete coastal getaway.

Catch the sun on a lounger on the first-floor balcony, or indulge in a long lunch on the lower terrace with a view of the sea (there’s a rustic-style barrel barbecue at the side of the villa). We love the twisting old olive trees, palms and cacti that fill the garden.

Inside, the living room is, quite simply, massive. The tiled floor and crisp white walls keep things cool in the heat of the day, while sunlight streams in through big windows and glass doors. The chef of the group can enjoy plenty of prep space in the modern kitchen, thanks to a central island.

Just a short walk from the Es Clot sandy beach and Alcudia's old town, this villa is a great place from which to explore the wonders of north Mallorca. Aside from the beaches, you’ll also have a large garden and a private pool at your disposal here – the patio area is particularly inviting when it comes to alfresco dining and evenings of drinks. Note that this home is surrounded by other villas, which may not be ideal if you’re after total seclusion.

We highly recommend a night in, cooking fresh seafood on the barbecue and eating alfresco in the cool summer breeze. Post-dinner, have some fun with the kids in the lower-ground garden or head up to the balcony to watch the sky change colour from a comfy sun lounger. 

The perfect way to end a perfect evening? A long soak in the bathtub, looking out over the water, with a glass of wine in hand.
