This farmhouse has been renovated in such a way that it has retained its unique rural character while still getting to call itself a holiday home fit for the twenty-first century. Mallorquin both within and without, it’s built in the classic blonde stone of the area and filled with traditional dark wood furnishings, wrought iron beds and classic Mediterranean tiled floors. Spend your days lazing by the pleasingly large pool, enjoying long lunches on the covered terrace, and exploring some of the gorgeous local beaches — the sands of Cala D’Or are just 13 minutes away by car. The seaside town of Sa Ràpita is one of Mallorca’s gems. The pace is slightly slower than in nearby Palma – only forty minutes down the road – but there’s still plenty to keep you entertained. 

This charming holiday home has everything you need to make the most of your holiday. The interiors are stylish and spacious, with two double bedrooms and a sweet third room ideal for little ones – they’ll love the bunk bed. The master suite has its own private lounge and balcony, making it a bit of a haven for those travelling with children. After the kids have gone to bed, relax with a beer on the balcony and count the stars – it’s your holiday too, after all. 

Stone accent walls tie the interior decor to the outside space, which boasts an inviting swimming pool, lush lawn and a shaded terrace perfect for a sunset cocktail hour. 

You might take a day trip to explore Palma. A visit to the magnificent cathedral is well worth the journey alone, and it’s a gorgeous city to stroll around with an ice cream. This villa is everything we want from a place in the southeast of Mallorca. Step-free access and three downstairs bedrooms mean it’s suitable for those with limited mobility, while the upstairs bedroom has its own en-suite and balcony – perfect for those who’d like some privacy. You’ll notice holiday knick-knacks dotted about, which may not be to everyone’s taste, but we think they’re charming. It’s the outside space that really steals the show – we couldn’t get enough of the private pool and summer kitchen. Most importantly, there’s a sandy beach 700 metres away and Caló del Moro is easily reached by car.

A paradise on paradise, it won't be a mystery why this home caught our eye. With several fantastic places to catch the sun, including by the large pool and on one of the terrace areas, this home is the perfect escape for a group of friends or an extended family. Built in the 14th century, this magnificent finca has seen more than a few celebrations. And while its old stone walls and wooden beams are just as they were, the home's refreshed interiors are ready to be the blank canvas for you to create your own memories. Spread across different wings, separate buildings, three floors and endless rooms, this place has thought of pretty much everything. Fun and games can be found in the dedicated games room, dinner can seemingly take place in a different dining room each night, and several of the bedrooms gaze out over the ocean. Speaking of bedrooms, with twenty to choose from, and a maximum capacity of forty guests, you're bound to find the right one for you. The cellars double up as event spaces, with moody backlighting and a team who can bring the place to life. The team are also on hand if you want to organise an outside party, with different packages available. For those who fancy the DIY approach, two barbecues are ready for evening feasts. After dinner, let the views from the rooftop terrace do the entertaining with drinks as the sun sets over the ocean.

You’ll find this villa situated in Portocolom, just a short walk from two sandy coves and a simple beach bar. Amenities like shops, a chemist and restaurants cluster around the main harbour, around 2 kilometres away. The home itself is simple in style but comfortable enough for a long stay. If you have the little ones in tow, there are retractable gates at both the top and bottom of the stairs and the swimming pool can be fenced. We loved the terrace for alfresco dining and the balcony was our favourite spot for a sundowner.

This 250-year-old rural villa is tucked away in Mallorca's lush countryside. The remote surroundings mean you'll have plenty of privacy, but it comes with one downside – the nearest town, restaurant, and beach are only reachable by car. But, seeing as there's private parking here, that shouldn’t be a problem. Besides, the outdoor terraces and private pool are perfect for relaxing in the sunshine, and with a bundle of bedrooms, space won’t be an issue. This is a charmingly old home, so expect some wear and tear inside and out. That said, if traditional character and seclusion are what you're after, this could fit the bill nicely.

This rural home, comprising a main house and another one-bedroom villa is perfect for those seeking a peaceful and authentic holiday in Mallorca. If you need to pick up bits for the barbecue, there’s a supermarket a five-minute walk away. Most importantly, you’re around a fifteen-minute walk from Petita Beach.
