This sun-soaked home has everything you want from a Mallorcan getaway – endless sea views, a private balcony, unfussy interiors and a five-minute walk from the beach. The architects of this apartment had indoor-outdoor living at the forefront when designing this space. A wall of glass gives way to the outside space where a bistro set up calls for slap-up suppers that last well into the evening. 

Inside, white-washed walls and natural textures combine to create a relaxing environment that’s a pleasure to relax in. We particularly loved the pink striped couch, adding a touch of whimsy to the place. When you’re not penning smug postcards at the dining table, you’ll be strolling along the soft sands of S'illot Beach or taking day trips to the charming towns of Portocolom on the east coast, reached in thirty minutes by car, and Alcúdia in the north, less than an hour’s drive away.

Bright and breezy, this modern villa sits in a prime spot on Mallorca's eastern coast. Just a short drive away lies Porto Cristo, with the rocky beaches of Cala Anguila and Cala Mendia also within easy reach. What initially caught our eye here were the sea views – best enjoyed from the terrace, balcony and two of the bedrooms – but we're equally impressed by the sleek interiors. Inside, there's plenty of space to spread out and unwind away from the island's endless sunshine. Although, if you ask us, the best spot of all to chill out is the small private pool, fitted with whirlpool jets for extra relaxation.

Festooned with tumbling bougainvillea and glowing from top-to-toe in crisp white, this recently renovated home is everything you want your Mallorcan retreat to be. And locations don't get much better either. You can be swimming off the sandy shores of Cala Millor or mooching along its seafront promenade bustling with restaurants and bars in just an eight-minute stroll.

Though you might find all you need back at home. Perfectly geared to alfresco living, sunny mornings call for lazy breakfasts on one of the two furnished outdoor terraces before a cool dip in the pool. And if you think the garden looks pretty now – wait till you see the festoon lights flicker on at night. It's a magical place to spend evenings with sundowners and a barbecue.

When it's time to beat the heat, there are heaps of activities to keep everyone happy indoors. A games cabinet stacked with toys and a games console should keep the kids (and big kids) busy or crash out with a movie in the cosy living area. 

Well suited for friends or family sharing – bedrooms are spaced out over two floors to give guests that extra bit of privacy and united by the same pared-back and calming palette. We don't know about you, but it all sounds pretty dreamy to us.

If you’re planning a coastal getaway, this home will tick a lot of boxes. With plenty of space for eight guests to spread out across its three floors, you’ll find en-suites for every bedroom and plenty of mod-cons. For us, the best part of this home is the outdoor area. Whether you’re enjoying a dip in the private pool, rustling up dinner on the barbecue or simply lying back in a hammock, relaxing with a glass of wine, you're never far from knockout sea views.

Situated just a ten-minute walk from the centre of Porto Cristo, this apartment is in an excellent location which offers the tranquillity of being near the edge of the forest but also the convenience of plenty of local amenities including a supermarket, restaurants, bars, and even a bakery – perfect for buying fresh breakfast pastries. Start your mornings here with a café con leche at the kitchen’s breakfast bar or take your fresh jugo de naranja outside and enjoy it in comfort on the pergola-shaded terrace. 

Sandy beaches are also close by to this home and can be reached in as little as fifteen minutes on foot. So why not spend several hours basking in the sunshine as you recline on the soft sands and listen to the soothing sounds of ocean waves?

Take a dip in the complex’s swimming pool before relaxing in your own small, private garden with your favourite holiday read. Then, in the evening, enjoy a tapas meal alfresco on the terrace or take full advantage of the home’s barbecue and cook some delicious Spanish pinchos.

Located on a hill between the towns of Son Carrió and Cala Millor, this authentic country villa is just a short drive away from some of the best beaches, hiking trails and cycling routes of Mallorca. Surrounded by olive trees, the garden features a private swimming pool, a covered terrace with views overlooking the local nature and an alfresco dining area. Meanwhile, shadier spots can be found inside, where the stone-clad walls create a cool (and characterful) ambience. While the interiors lack modern charm and appear dated in parts, the designs here don't seem out of place, given the heritage of this traditional home.

Ideally located in the very heart of Porto Cristo, overlooking the glorious ocean, this Mediterranean-style villa has been designed with the utmost attention to detail. Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows let you make the most of your prime position here, while the calming colour scheme lets the ocean views be the star of the show. Outside, you'll find lots of places to sit and take in those sea views, with balconies and terraces a-plenty – and of course, there's the stunning outdoor pool, which makes the perfect place to spend sunny mornings. You're just 50 metres from Cala Inge beach here, as well as close to some of the buzzing bars and vibrant restaurants that make this location so sought-after.

You’ll find this traditional Mallorcan style home a seven-minute drive from Porto Cristo, a picturesque fishing village on the island’s eastern coast. Family-run restaurants flank the quiet streets and there’s a small market held every Sunday on the promenade. The eponymous beach is a lovely spot from which to soak up the Mediterranean sunshine, especially with an ice-cold drink in hand. 

Back at home, an open-plan living space with a selection of laidback furnishings is the perfect place to unwind before dinner. As the barbecue sizzles away, splash about in the pool with your loved ones before setting the alfresco dining table ready for a slap-up feast. Bask in the golden hour light on the loungers as a gentle breeze dances through the delicate curtains and when the sun starts to set, head up to your balcony to watch twilight fall across the landscape.

Days here start with a dip in the pool and end with a soak in the hot tub overlooking the water, but if you prefer to unwind indoors, you'll find plenty of space. Each bedroom is comfortable and cosy, though two are on the lower level and lack natural light. Location-wise, a rocky beach is right on your doorstep – literally at the edge of the garden – while Cala Bona and Cala Millor are a short drive away.

A Touch of Paradise

Sleek and contemporary, this Porto Cristo villa is a far cry from the traditional fincas dotted across Mallorca. Its minimalist interior is spread across multiple floors and flooded with natural light. There's plenty of room for a family – especially in the breezy living area, which has a glimpse of the sea. But it was the sun-kissed terraces that caught our attention. Between the private pool, alfresco dining area and balcony off the main bedroom, it's no surprise you'll spend most of your days soaking up the rays. A bevvy of bars and restaurants are nearby, as are a rocky cove and the famous Drach Caves, although you'll need a car to explore the rest of the island.

Siesta by the Sea

This dreamy Finca is in a peaceful location surrounded by nature. Fringing the beautiful coastal town of Son Severa, it's the perfect base for exploring Majorca. Here, you'll fall in love with the island's natural beauty. Set on a verdant canvas of lush, landscaped gardens and bordered by shrubs and trees, this home guarantees privacy in a serene rural location. 

Inside, sunlight floods the space. Airy rooms boast tall ceilings with striking wooden beams, encompassing the rustic-chic design that runs throughout. We love the glorious, open-plan kitchen and lounge, adorned with artwork and ceramics. A large dining table sits in the heart of the space, beckoning you to gather here often for home-cooked feasts, lovingly prepared in the fully-equipped kitchen. With two bedrooms, each offering access to the garden via timber-framed double doors, there's space for four guests. In the mornings, step outside with your cup of coffee and soak up the soft early sunlight. Here, the swimming pool takes centre stage, offering a sparkling oasis from the Meditteranean heat. A shaded patio with an additional dining table adjoins the kitchen. When paired with the outdoor barbecue, it's the perfect spot for alfresco dining. If you can tear yourself away from this home, the golden sands of Platja des Port Vella and Bona Beach are less than a five-minute drive away.

This grand ranch-style home just outside Costa de los Pinos has oodles of terrace space and glorious sea views. It’s a hillside hideaway perfect for an extended family getaway or a quiet retreat with friends.

Surrounded by mature trees and a beautiful, well-kept garden, you’ll feel a world away from the popular resorts of Mallorca. But with a car, you’ll be hitting the sandy beaches or golf courses in minutes if you feel the need.

Down a winding path through lush greenery is a secluded, rocky bay perfect for an early-morning dip or floating away the afternoon. There’s even a tiny terrace right on the edge of the coastline, where you can soak up the sun with just the waves for company.

Back at the house, the large veranda with its seascape vistas is made for socialising. The grand dining table has plenty of space for tapas, and we know you’ll be eager to sink into one of the cosy wicker sofas at sunset, armed with an ice-cold gin and tonic.

Inside, windows let the light flood in across the wood-and-terracotta space. And the cool white walls are all you need to set off the handsome antique furniture, heavy wooden doors and natural louvred shutters. With palatial bedrooms, all with terrace access, you’ll be eager to return to this secret spot at the end of the day.

This is a classic Mallorcan villa with bags of charm and an epic garden to boot. Bring another family, there’s plenty of room for eight here. Kids will love roaming around the enormous, lush green garden. Not to mention the fabulous tree-lined pools set within it. There are two, a shallow baby pool and a much larger one for swimming. Meanwhile, the grown-ups can sip Sangria together in the sunshine. 

Later on, make use of the impressive barbecue before heading inside for a sing-song around the piano. Terracotta floors and wood finishes give the place a homely vibe. It comes well kitted out with all you need for a relaxing stay. 

You’re based in Son Carrio, a cute town close to some of the island’s spectacular beaches. S’illot Beach is just 4km away. Manacor, with its strong dining scene and shops, is 9km away.

Accessed via a private country lane, this villa offers peace and quiet, as well as verdant wooded vistas from the terrace and the swimming pool. The home is surrounded by more than 3000 square metres of private land, so you’ll be able to listen to the birds singing in the trees. Due to its secluded location, we’d recommend having a car as the nearest supermarket and restaurant is 2 kilometres away in Artá. Other attractions include Beach Canyamel 9 kilometres away, while there’s a golf course 4 kilometres from this home.

Wild Blue Iris

You’ll find this rustic villa on the outskirts of Sant Llorenç in northeast Mallorca. While some areas of the home may feel a little dated to some, the place is equipped with all the mod cons you'll need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Outside, the swimming pool is a delight in the summer, and the covered terrace is the perfect spot for lazy lunches. Should you fancy a change of surroundings, Millor Beach is a short car ride away.

We love the beautiful sea views from the terrace of this beachfront apartment in Cala Millor. Watch the sunrise, then enjoy breakfast on your private balcony while listening to the soothing sounds of the waves lapping the shore.

Inside, a fresh white scheme is enlivened by pops of colour from the cushions and modern artworks. But to be honest, we were just mesmerized by the vistas from the sofa.

The location of this home is just wonderful. Go for a stroll on the beach opposite, which is under a minute away – there's a restaurant here too. The white sands and azure waters of Cala Millor Beach are a ten-minute walk, while it's a five-minute saunter to a range of eateries, bars and supermarkets.

With Palma an hour away by car, Mallorca's east coast is less about the bustling metropolis and more about relaxed living. In easy reach of golf courses, beaches, and walking routes, Cala Bona is a coastal town that makes the most of its natural surroundings. But while swaying trees and rolling waves offer organic landscapes, this home (just a five-minute walk from Port Vella Beach) creates a sharp contrast.

In truly modern style, this villa displays the best of angular architecture. The use of concrete columns and blocks has a somewhat brutalist feel, which makes it stand out among organic scenery and lush lawns. Set over three floors, with cut-out sections to carve out a terrace up top, this home casts an imposing shadow over your private pool and garden. With a dining space below its concrete awning, the angles of the villa cleverly allow you to enjoy both the sun and shade. 

We love the minimalist, modern interiors to match the outside. White is the colour of choice, and open-plan spaces make the ground floor feel huge. Every bedroom features a fantastic sea view, with the aforementioned terrace being perfect for an iced coffee in the morning, or a nightcap after dark.

This tranquil farmhouse is tucked away in the scenic and wild mountain landscapes of Mallorca, in the picturesque medieval town of Artá. We think it's a good choice for small families wanting a quiet stay in nature, as your host can provide some free baby equipment. The private pool and sun loungers let you enjoy views of the castle over the mountains, and the charming weekly market is around 2km away. The road up to the home isn't in the best condition, so you'll need a larger car for the terrain. It's not far to drive to the nearest beaches and golf courses on Mallorca's coast, though.

Spread across two floors, this home has pride of place in Cala Mendia. It is perched on a cliff, providing unbeatable views of the beach and turquoise shallows of the small bay, an ideal swim spot. A private set of steps from this home takes you straight onto the beach below. Take meals on the terracotta-tiled terrace that wraps around the villa, with views over the water, uninterrupted to the horizon. The patio has its own pergola and grill; an idyllic spot for a barbecue, as you sit back and listen to the rush of the waves. Golf courses and tennis courts add to the fun activities in this part of Majorca. Inside the house, relax on the plush sofas in front of the TV. Then, head out to one of the many shops, restaurants and bars in the area for a night on the town. The rugged coastline can be explored on foot, by bike or even by segway for fun-filled days outdoors.

So whether you're in the bathtub, out on the balcony or cooking up a storm in the kitchen, you'll be just a blink of an eye away from the soothing sea vistas. 

Unwind in the sunshine on the sun loungers, or why not go for a refreshing swim in the sea just footsteps away from the villa's garden? Of course, you'll have the swimming pool if you prefer to stay closer to home. For days out, hop in the car to the nearby beaches of Es Ribell, Es Rajolí or Sa Marjal or get lost in the lovely villages of Arta or Son Servera – where you'll lap up a truly authentic Mediterranean experience in no time.

This home is idyllically located in the centre of town, just steps from the golden sands of Canyamel Beach. We love the private balcony, looking out to sea. Take your morning coffee here and marvel at the sweeping views of leafy streets and rooftop dotted hills. 

Inside, ample natural light and a colour palette of warm neutrals create a calm and airy atmosphere. With two twin bedrooms and a sofa bed in the lounge, this home can accommodate five guests comfortably. After a day at the beach, gather in the open-plan lounge and dining room to cool off in the AC. Though small, the kitchen is equipped with all the essentials for preparing a post-swim feast. Stock up the fridge with groceries at one of the local supermarkets, or taste authentic Mallorcan cuisine at one of the many restaurants and bars nearby.

This home is the perfect base for exploring the tropical paradise of Canyamel. Nature lovers will enjoy the many hiking trails, like the walk up Torre Nova des Cap Vermell which boasts stunning coastal views. Rent a kayak and explore the enchanting Caves of Artà. Or, take an eight-minute drive to Canyamel Golf and enjoy a game on one of the most scenic courses on the entire island.

This home is over 100 years old and is full of charm. It’s been lovingly updated so the historic charm remains, but you’ll also find modern amenities like a hydromassage bathtub. It’s in an elevated position so offers excellent views of Mallorca’s countryside. Beautiful Artà is just 3 kilometres away, and is a lovely spot for tapas bars. You’ll need a car to get the most out of your stay here, unless you’re content to spend your stay dozing beside the pool and cooking on the barbecue for alfresco feasts – which certainly has its appeal.

When it comes to uninterrupted sea views, it doesn’t get much better than those offered from this home. Occupying a privileged spot on the cliffs of Cala Murada, this is the ideal setting for a refreshing coastal escape. Take your pick from multiple terraces, enjoy lazy days by the pool and restorative sessions in the home sauna and jacuzzi. And while this all sounds like the perfect adults-only escape, it’s also a great option for families with child-friendly amenities available on request and the nearest beach just a short walk away. 


Floating In the Sunshine

We spent much of our stay at this three-bedroom villa slightly slack-jawed at the beauty of the place. The honey-coloured stone of the exterior glows in the sunshine, while the turquoise salt-water pool glistens invitingly. 

Inside, gorgeous stone walls, wooden beams and elegant furniture meet, resulting in a cool ranch-house style with every comfort you could wish for. Vast windows let light pour in, and create an open indoor/outdoor feel. Terraces line the house, with tables for alfresco dining as well as comfy swings and hammocks – it’s remarkably easy to while away several hours while drifting gently in the breeze. 

The salt-water pool is tempting any time of the day, and there are sun loungers in the sun and shade. We loved starting our day out by the pool then moving to one of the long tables on the terrace for a barbecued feast. Meals stretched on for hours as the conversation – and vino – flowed, punctuated only by occasional games of table tennis. 

The quiet town of Son Servera is only a sixteen-minute drive from the villa, with a weekly market and charming streets for you to explore. Golfers are well served in the area, with links at Pula and Son Servera less than twenty minutes away. You can enjoy the soft sands and clear waters of Porto Cristo beach in twelve minutes – why not drive out later in the day to watch the sun set over the water?

A paradise on paradise, it won't be a mystery why this home caught our eye. With several fantastic places to catch the sun, including by the large pool and on one of the terrace areas, this home is the perfect escape for a group of friends or an extended family. With an ensuite for every room and all that space, you won't encroach on one another, while still enjoying ample opportunity to come together to dine and connect. We especially like the shaded al fresco area and the Mediterranean garden. You're also a short drive away from the beach – perfect for a day trip.

A Fine Fig

If beachfront is what you're after, this Cala Ratjada villa certainly delivers. Offering direct access to the promenade from the garden, you'll be able to roll out of bed and stroll straight down to the sea – sounds dreamy, doesn't it? And don't get us started on the spectacular views. Whether you're barbecuing on the patio, swinging in the hammock, or lounging on the roof terrace, you'll have a front-row seat to watch the tide roll in. Rustic charm abounds in the living room, though some other spaces (especially the bathrooms) are a bit dated. That said, with easy access to Cala Ratjada's beach and restaurants, we don't think you'll mind.

Sun-Kissed Dream

There’s something cinematic about this 19th-century stone villa – its interiors feel perfectly preserved, its gardens are thriving, and its position is secluded. While you’ll need a car to get around, there’s a lot to be said about this rural location – it's tucked between the villages of Porto Colom (one of Mallorca’s most beautiful natural harbours) and Portocristo (famous for its natural caves, including the Cuevas del Drach). We imagine spending leisurely days soaking up the sun by the pool and dining alfresco amongst the greenery here – the only thing left to do is create the playlist.

Sun-Kissed Stone

The bustling city of Manacor is the second-largest metropolis on the island, and also the birthplace of Rafael Nadal. But while tennis fans now flock to this former agricultural hub, there are still elements of its former self. Just a seven-minute drive from the centre, this enormous finca is ready to welcome you to countryside life. 

Surrounded by lush trees and fields, this is rural living on a grand scale. Set over thousands of square feet, you can easily start feeling lost among the grounds of this manor. The coast might be twenty minutes away, but your swimming pool can help make up for this. With four-poster Bali beds around the pool, as well as a sun lounger for everyone, it’s a tough choice between catching rays, swimmings lengths, or exploring the home.

Follow the path up to the bright-red door and traditional wooden shutters of the facade. This theme of bold colour and rustic wood continues indoors. Find slanted ceilings, lined with the richest hues of wood, alongside feature walls bringing a pop of colour into every room. From hot pink to aquatic green, this also continues into the luxurious bedrooms. And as each one has an ensuite with a hydromassage bath, you won’t be drawing straws over who sleeps where.

The Brandy Cask

Set atop a small hill on the outskirts of Sant Llorenç, this villa provides peace and quiet in the Mallorcan countryside. You’ll definitely need a car to get around but fortunately, Millor Beach and Manacor, the island’s second-largest town, are only a short drive away. The home’s outdoor space is geared up for spending lazy days in the sunshine – there are more than enough loungers by the pool and the covered terrace is the ideal spot for long lunches. Interior-wise, just so you know, only the upper floor benefits from air conditioning.

Escape the crowds with a stay at this stylish townhouse perched in the medieval hill town of Artà, and just an eighteen-minute drive from the dazzling coast.

This soulful town has bags of charm and heaps of style to boot. Mooch about Artà's bustling traditional weekly market. Rummage in the local antique stores. Or find yourself a sunny spot at one of the many street cafes for lazy lunches and a spot of people watching – it's all just moments from your door.

When it's time to up the ante, you're in the right spot – the northeast is prime territory for hiking, cycling, horse riding, and bird-watching. Or pack up your bucket and spades and hit the beach – you'll be there in less than twenty minutes.

Back at home, this place had us on those shady verandas alone. But wait till you see the icy-blue pool in the inner courtyard garden.

Surrounded by warm-hued stone, this home’s beautiful patio is a special space. Relax here with a glass of wine or cool off in the spa area with its small pool and water blade – it’s particularly magical in the evenings. There’s a roof terrace, too, with lovely views over picturesque Artá, perfect for unwinding in the Mallorcan sun.

Inside, the modern features blend seamlessly with the old – think stone archways, beams and a traditional four-poster bed, as well as a contemporary kitchen and steel staircase.

This home is situated in the heart of pretty Artà, a town just a few kilometres inland from the northeast coast of Mallorca. It’s surrounded by the mountains of the Llevant Natural Park, so has wonderful vistas. On Tuesdays, there’s a weekly market, which is known for its local pottery. Other attractions in the area include the Bronze Age Talaiotic settlement of Ses Païsses, the Sanctuary of Sant Salvador, and the Caves d'Arta.

With sparkling sea views, sun-drenched terraces and not one, but two pools (indoors and outdoors), this beautiful villa is more than enough to keep you entertained. For those fitness enthusiasts, there’s even an on-site gym – and for those who prefer a slower pace of life, the hot tub, gazing out at the vistas, will be right up your street. 

The Crystal View

There’s nothing but fields and palm trees as far as the eye can see at this secluded villa. Well, you can also catch a fringe of hazy mountains in the distance too. Though you’re in the heart of the Mallorcan countryside here, it’s just a six-minute drive to the beautiful town of Manacor which is packed with shops, restaurants and bars in its old centre. For a beach day, it’s a fifteen-minute drive to Portocristo where there’s a long sweep of beach lined with bars and restaurants.

Though, with outdoor space like this, you may want to spend all your time relaxing at the villa. Loungers and double day beds line the pristine swimming pool, where reclining comes with a view out over the fields for miles. We love the patio beneath the bamboo pergola, which provides a shaded spot for outdoor dining, particularly easy with a summer kitchen equipped with a fridge, barbecue grills, sink and plenty of prep space. 

Or head indoors to cook in the jolly fire-engine-red kitchen. There’s plenty of room in here to have several chefs cooking at once and a long dining table at its centre. Bedrooms are blissfully breezy and rustic, with hardwood floors and wooden ceilings like the Mallorcan farmhouses of old. Most have double glass doors, so you can tumble from bed to patio or terrace in minutes.

With sun-kissed terraces, a private pool and an extensive Mediterranean garden for little ones to enjoy, it’s easy to see why this charming Mallorcan villa caught our eye. Surrounded by nature, this home has tranquillity running through its core – and with a main house and separate guest house, it’s perfect for extended families. If you can tear yourself away, golfers can enjoy the nearby courses of Canyamel, Capdepera and Pula. Feeling drawn to the beach? Take your pick from the sandy shores of Font de sa Cala and Canyamel, both within easy reach.

This farmhouse has been renovated in such a way that it has retained its unique rural character while still getting to call itself a holiday home fit for the twenty-first century. Mallorquin both within and without, it’s built in the classic blonde stone of the area and filled with traditional dark wood furnishings, wrought iron beds and classic Mediterranean tiled floors. Spend your days lazing by the pleasingly large pool, enjoying long lunches on the covered terrace, and exploring some of the gorgeous local beaches — the sands of Cala D’Or are just 13 minutes away by car. Golf enthusiasts will be finding an excuse to visit the course at the nearby Club Vall D’Or and cyclists will enjoy the network of trails that criss-cross the island. Once the sun has gone down, fire up the barbecue, open a bottle of local wine and pass an evening under the stars with your loved ones.
