Truly a villa the whole family can enjoy, a home cinema, games room, gym and office space lie within the wall of this uniquely designed home. Though the interior style here might not be everyone's cup of tea, it's certainly comfortable and well-kept. There are also plenty of breakout spaces for guests to stretch out and relax, but our favourite aspect here is the outdoors. A private pool can be found surrounded by a lush green garden. There's also ample seating and a barbecue area. Location-wise, you're a short drive from the medieval structures of Valencia.

Smack bang in the heart of delightful Dénia, this no-fuss apartment is perfect for couples or solo travellers looking for some rest and relaxation on the Costa Blanca. Inside, the place strikes a balance between comfort and function. There’s a compact kitchen equipped for quick meals and a quiet bedroom to ensure a peaceful sleep night after night. But it was the view that was our favourite part. We could’ve spent hours on that modular chair, watching the palm trees sway and the boats to and fro from the harbour, only breaking our gaze to open a bottle of Rioja as the sun sets. Spend mornings exploring your locale – you’re a ten-minute walk from the Dénia Castle and eighteen minutes from the Marineta Casiana Beach. If you’re feeling curious, take the twenty-minute drive to Parc Natural del Montgó for stunning hiking routes or catch the ferry from the port to the dazzling Balearic Islands.

This spacious and well-located villa is a good option for a family or group of friends wanting to holiday in Denia, Costa Blanca. There's a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living room area to relax in – albeit a little dated in terms of decor. Equipped for all seasons, there's a fireplace for cooler evenings and air conditioning for the summer months. We love the lawned gardens surrounding this family-friendly home – they boast superb sea and mountain views and include a large private pool and BBQ area too. While you can explore the local area on foot, we suggest a car for ease – Parc Natural del Montgó is less than 2km from the villa.

Nods to the nautical meet whitewashed walls and windows shutters while brand spanking new cabinetry meets worn wooden furniture, woven basket lights and colourful framed prints. 

Undoubtedly the star of the show, however, is the interior courtyard, with its traditional Tosca stone walls and Spanish style tiled floor – the perfect relaxing retreat come morning, noon or night. You’ll love rising early to catch the sunrise before taking your morning coffee out into the courtyard. The centre of Beniarbeig, with its shops and restaurants, is within walking distance of the villa and the nearest beach of Denia is only a short drive away.

Since this home is part of a complex of apartments, there may be some noise from neighbours – we suggest packing earplugs to ensure a good night's sleep. With the sands of Platja de l'Arenal right on your doorstep, this is a perfect location for beach lovers.

The compact kitchen is kitted out for Mediterranean bites whilst the living space is a perfect spot to enjoy a glass of Albariño – though we expect you’ll be most inclined to savour this from the armchairs on your terrace. This apartment is nestled on the coast of the historic Javea, a short walk from the sea. The central location means parking will be tricky, but you'll be close to public transport. You'll want to pack light here – the home is small, but has everything needed for a fuss-free stay. We especially like the private balcony, which offers natural light and enough space to sit out with a drink. If you want a base for exploring the town and coastline, you can't get much closer to the action.

Sunburst Shores

Sure, this apartment in the heart of Javea might be a little simple when it comes to interior design, but people don't come to this corner of Spain to be wowed by home decor – not when there's a wealth of exemplary beaches, hiking routes and seafront restaurants that lie within easy walking distance to explore. That's not to say you'll dread returning home, however. For instance, the balcony – while small – has a rather charming view of the town's port and the Mediterranean Sea stretching into the distance.
