In the heart of San Sebastián and just a five-minute walk from La Concha Beach, this apartment is in an ideal location for making the most of both the historic city and the coast. Simple modern decor is enlivened by patterned feature walls in the bedrooms and a beautiful enclosed balcony with stained glass detail in the living room – the perfect spot to sip a glass of wine and people-watch. Both bedrooms have French doors that open onto their own balconies, so you can wake up to a gentle breeze and the sound of the street below. The Old Town is just a ten-minute walk away, and with plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants around, you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to things to do. 

Palma Azul

Nestled in the heart of San Sebastián, this contemporary home is perfect for a coastal getaway with family or friends. With neutral colours throughout, this home oozes tranquillity. That said, peek out the windows and you’ll see one of the city’s most beautiful avenues – Avenida de la Libertad – below. As an added bonus, this home’s enviable location means you’re never far away from an eatery serving up authentic Spanish cuisine. Keen for a swim in the sea? The sandy shores of La Concha beach are a mere five-minute walk away. 

Spanish Spirit

Located in the heart of Old Town in San Sebastian, this beautiful apartment is in the perfect position for the finest pintxo bars, pubs and restaurants. The stone dining room is the highlight of this apartment, with the soft colour of the furniture and the exposed wood bringing warmth to the space. Whip up a delicious meal in the sleek modern kitchen and dinner is sure to pleasantly go on for hours. The bedrooms are elegant and roomy, and are a great place to unwind at the end of a long day exploring – though light sleepers might want to bring earplugs, as there's a nightclub downstairs that plays music until the early hours. If you fancy venturing out, head for a nightcap at the renowned Dry San Sebastian cocktail bar, just ten minutes away.

Vista Castillo

Personally, we think a trip to San Sebastian is always a good idea, no matter the weather or time of year. And that’s where this home comes into play. Light and airy, the apartment is nicely decorated with a contemporary style. A highlight is the balcony off the master bedroom, accessed through the large French doors. The flat is located just a few streets from the beach of Zurriola, a beautiful stretch of sand for a stroll on a cold winter’s day and the perfect spot for sunbathing and surfing in the summer. Tucked away in the neighbourhood of Gros, it’s just a short walk along the river Urumea to reach the Old Town with its vast number of pintxos restaurants and bars. Welcoming up to six guests, this home offers comfort and ease in a great location.

Santee Sioux

You’ll find this slick and sophisticated home where San Sebastian meets the sea. The blonde wood and sea views of this apartment means it's a exceptionally calming place to stay. Enjoy coffee on the balcony in the morning before heading to Zurriola beach, just metres away, meaning all you have to do is pack up your towels and pick a spot to stretch out on the sand. A short walk will take you into San Sebastian’s old town, where you can hop between the pintxo bars and sample the local fare - the city is famous for its food, so make sure you’re hungry. After all that, it’s time to snuggle up in one of the stylish bedrooms - within minutes you’ll fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. 

City to Sea

Whether you’re a foodie couple keen to taste the delights of San Sebastian or a group of sun worshippers planning to explore the beaches, you'll feel right at home here. The interiors combine traditional touches like exposed brick and wooden beams with modern additions such as trendy patterned wallpaper and geometric pendant lamps. You’re right next to Zurriola Beach and a short walk will take you to La Concha Beach, known for its crescent-shaped bay. The old town is on your doorstep, where you can hop between pintxos bars and savour snacks and drinks as the locals do. Back at home, have a nightcap on the terrace or relax on the sofa before sinking into a restful sleep.

A Twist of Lime

The great thing about a trip to San Sebastian is that it pleases almost every visitor: sun-worshippers can spend endless days at the beach; culture vultures will want to learn everything about this historic city;  foodies will find themselves in culinary heaven. That’s where this home comes into play. Not only does it have sleek interiors for design-forward guests, but it’s also ideally located to take full advantage of this alluring city. A wall of glass allows guests to gaze out over the beach and the bay of La Concha. When hunger strikes, step outside and explore the Old Town’s pintxos bars and restaurants. Our favourite, Bar Sport, is less than a five-minute walk from home.

Silver Sand

In an elegant classical building, this apartment on the mezzanine level offers stunning views from the windows, taking in the ornate Maria Cristina Bridge and the remodelled Tabakalera building. While the veranda terrace is the perfect spot to start each day with your morning coffee as you overlook the Urumea River. Then, why not enjoy a few peaceful hours of sun as you recline in a deck chair with your favourite holiday reads. 

Wander along the beautiful promenade of the Urumea River to reach the Maria Cristina Bridge – a short three-minute walk away or walk three minutes in the opposite direction to visit the cathedral. If beach days are what you’re looking for, then you’re in luck as the golden sands and soothing sounds of the ocean are roughly a ten-minute walk from your door.

In the evening, what could be better than dining alfresco here, and a private chef can even create you some delicious authentic Spanish tapas to enjoy with a glass of wine at the outdoor dining table on the veranda, with a view of the river as the sun sets. 

 Sol en el Río

This cleverly designed two-bedroom home is high on the seventh floor overlooking the golden sands of La Concha Beach. With contemporary furnishings, detail-oriented accent pieces and modern appliances, you'll always be glad to return home after an exciting day. And there's no such thing as a boring day in Donostia-San Sebastian; walk to La Concha Beach in just two minutes or cross over the Urumea River to explore the alternative scene in the neighbourhood of Gros. This is where you'll find the city's surfing beach and many of its cultural venues and institutions. When night falls, make the short walk north to the Old Town for mouth-watering pintxos and local wine. 

7th Heaven

This apartment is chic and well-thought-out, with a smart L-shaped couch giving you plenty of space to kick back and relax. The bright white kitchenette is well-equipped for you to make a morning coffee to enjoy on the balcony while a sea breeze ruffles your hair. Serene bedrooms come with piles of cushions and a cosy throw for your best night’s sleep ever. From here, a short stroll through De Cervantes Plaza will bring you to La Concha Beach, a pleasing strip of golden sand from which you can watch little white boats bobbing on the tide. Located on a lively street in the Old Town of San Sebastian, some of the city's best pintxos restaurants and bars are just footsteps away. 

La Piedra Blanca

This modern apartment showcases the best of San Sebastián. For starters, the location is excellent. Zurriola Beach, the historic Old Town, and an array of trendy eateries are all just a stone's throw away. If the central setting doesn't sway you, we reckon the contemporary design back home will. The living space has plenty of room to stretch out, while the three bedrooms offer respite away from the group. There's also a well-appointed kitchen where you can whip up meals – though with pintxo bars on your doorstep, dining out is likely on the cards.
