This impressive finca, clad in natural stone, is a perfect spot for idyllic days spent by the palm tree-lined pool and lunches of jamón Ibérico and pimientos de padrón al fresco on the terrace. Inside, you’ll be treated to leather, Mid-Century furnishings against a backdrop of neutral hues and design elements that hint at the traditional countryside - think wooden tables and rattan light fixtures. This breezy space is the perfect spot for family and friends wanting to make the most of Catalan living.

Just twenty minutes from your home, you’ll find the powdery sands of Sitges. Spend the day beachside with vistas of the Garraf Massif mountains, or explore the eclectic artworks in the stunning, former seaside residence, Palau de Maricel. As the sun dips beneath the limestone cliffs, nestle in at Alfresco Restaurante for stunning local wines and fresh seafood a la plancha. After your day out, make your way back to your villa for a swim under the stars.

Farmhouse in Bloom

A long, wooden dining table and cushioned sofas are the perfect social spots to share chorizo, tapas and paella. There's also stools lining the kitchen side should you wish to adopt a beach-bar atmosphere. 

For the times when you're not sampling the food, the gorgeous outdoor area is made for relaxation. Chill in the pool, lounge on the sun beds or make your way to the balcony for a spot of privacy. If you're someone who likes to keep active, there's a mini football pitch with small goals. 

Five Star Beach Bar

Step inside this apartment and you’ll feel instantly at home thanks to the warm tones and inviting design. From here, you can relax in the living room while listening to the sound of your favourite playlist. There is also a dedicated desk in the single room – making this a great option for remote workers. It’s worth noting there is no private parking here, but you will find great public transport links. It’s also just a short stroll through the vibrant streets of Sant Antoní towards restaurants, bars and shops.

Located in Cap de Salou, it's an ideal spot for a couple or a small family. Days begin outside, enjoying a fresh cup of coffee, admiring the shimmering ocean and unspoiled landscape in full view. 

Inside, it's contemporary and light. We particularly love the open-plan living space, allowing for seamless modern living. With a dining table, fully-equipped kitchen, and comfortable bedroom you'll have everything needed for a relaxing stay. 

After a quick afternoon snooze on the sofa, pack your seaside essentials and take the six-minute stroll down to Platja de la Cala Crancs. Stretch out on the sand and go swimming in the sea. Later, gather your things and end the day with a delicious seafood supper in the lively town of Tarragona, just fifteen minutes away by taxi. 

Looking Out

Huddled together like a hamlet, the rose-hued buildings of this holiday complex glow golden in the sunset and look like they could be an ancient monastery. Indeed, there’s a fifteenth-century church within the grounds, alongside modern perks like a shared swimming pool and covered hot tub. In the heart of the Catalan countryside, hilltop walks past crumbling castles can fill your days, or perhaps make the hour’s drive to Barcelona for a day trip in the big city.

This apartment has all the farmhouse charm we’d expect from a rural retreat. Think wood-beamed ceilings and terracotta-tiled floors. Though there are a few modern touches too, like the geometric feature light above the dining table and midnight-blue walls in the full kitchen. The bedroom is super spacious and it’s a delight to wake up to countryside views from the big windows. There’s also a cute little balcony with a bistro table, perfect for your morning coffee to the sound of birds in the surrounding forest hills.   

Midnight Moon

Cameras at the ready – this Catalan apartment in rural Barcelona has all the right angles, chic styling, and an incredible setting to boot. 

Housed in an ancient Masía dating back some 450 years, the hosts have expertly reimagined the residence into seven exclusive holiday retreats. Strikingly modern yet rustic at the same time, the wooden beams have been left exposed to show the bones of this magnificent former farmhouse. While statement lighting and luxurious finishes, including a slick bathroom and kitchen area designed with wheelchair users in mind, bring the apartment firmly into the 21st Century.

Open the arched windows of the Juliet balconies wide to reveal woodland scenes as you fire up the coffee machine – only bird song could disturb you here. And when it's time to embrace the great outdoors, there are excellent paths nearby for hiking and cycling, or for the more adventurous, waterfall canyoning (your host has some great tips for exploring the neighbourhood). Or simply pad out into the rambling communal gardens where you'll find a shared swimming pool and Jacuzzi to soak up the views of the surrounding forests and neighbouring castle of Orpí. Immersed in nature, you could feel a million miles from anywhere here. But if you fancy a change of pace, Barcelona and the shores of Sitges and Costa Dorada are all under an hour's drive away. Good luck convincing anyone to leave this dreamy place, though.

The Old Masía

Tucked into the countryside, in the southern province of Barcelona, this stone farmhouse offers a little oasis of seclusion. Its idyllic position is just outside of the cultural town, Sitges, so you can enjoy artistic excursions during the day and return to your finca of privacy as the sun fades.

This charming stone farmhouse has been lovingly designed to create an atmosphere of calm - think white pebbled walls, neutral-hued soft furnishings and rattan accents. Outside, your private pool invites you to cool off from the sun - or explore the finca’s shared pool if the kids are seeking some social time. Take in the hilly vistas from your sun lounger or fall asleep under the shade, surrounded by Bougainvillaea - this home considers every member of the family or group.

As the golden hour approaches, fire up the barbecue and spend dinner al fresco. If you’re wanting to explore the area, spend the evening in town where you’ll find an array of local tavernas, upscale restaurants and Catalonian ambience. 

Another drive worth taking is to Penedès, the famous wine region, just fifteen minutes away. If memory-making in nature is top of the list, discover Parque Natural del Garraf for cycling and horse riding. 

Catalonian Stone

Merging the old with the new, this Catalan-style farmhouse offers all of the traditional countryside features alongside modern touches to make for a relaxing, rural stay. Set on a vineyard, you'll have no disturbances here and lots of outside space to soak up your surroundings, including a swimming pool, dining terrace, garden and laid-back lounge area. Inside, we appreciate the sleek design throughout – from the contemporary fireplace to the stylish chef's kitchen. Situated on Garraf Natural Park, you'll enjoy 50-aces of rolling fields, while the exciting capital of Barcelona is only a twenty-minute drive away. 

The Old Arroyo

Modern and bright, this Sant Antoni apartment offers a comfortable base for those looking to stay in Central Madrid. You'll be a short walk from the city’s galleries, concept stores, markets and bars, while Gaudi’s landmarks are a short metro ride away. There's a comfortable living space to unwind, and a laptop-friendly workspace for those needing to work during their stay. But the real highlight here is the balcony, which serves as a small, but lovely spot for evening drinks after a day of sightseeing.


With Love, Sant Antoni

The former sleeping quarters of the Marquesa de Gironella, this characterful apartment oozes old-world charm. We can't get enough of the sky-high beamed ceilings or the huge windows – they truly are as impressive as they look – nor can we take our eyes off those views. Step out onto the balconies (there are three of them) and admire the rolling valley and the estate's verdant garden. One balcony even has a quaint bistro-style table – whether you're enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning breeze or trying the regional wine gifted by your lovely hosts, it's the ideal spot to relax in the Spanish rays. And speaking of the sun, all of the estate runs on sustainable sources like solar panels, which provide electricity, hot water, and underfloor heating.

What we love most, however, are the impressive grounds. Enjoy an afternoon dip in the pool, play a game of table tennis, or use a mountain bike and explore the trails leading into the Catalan countryside. The sleepy medieval village centre of La Torre de Claramunt is just around the corner – there you’ll find a few local eateries, a delicious bakery and an 11th-century castle. It's hard to believe that this traditional town is only a fifty-minute drive from Barcelona's city centre – we think it's pretty perfect for those craving a laid-back stay in the heart of Catalonia.

The Marquesa's Chambers

Catalonia village life awaits at this sublime apartment housed in a 450-year-old Masia residence in rural Barcelona. Surrounded by crumbling castles, verdant woodlands, and hidden waterfalls, settings don't get much more idyllic. With walking and cycling pathways leading straight from your door, you can dive right in to it all. Or jump in the car for a city fix in Barcelona or beach day at Sitges  – both are just an hour's drive away.
