Nestled on a mountainside above the historic town of Vence, this home offers a peaceful retreat with breathtaking views of the Côte d'Azur. Ideal for extended family or a group of friends, it’s impossible not to relax here. But for us, the cherry on top is the outdoor space. We love the private pool, secret dining spots, and, of course, those views that stretch for miles. If they tempt you away from home, it’s a mere three kilometres down the mountain to Vence, where a host of French eateries await, or you can pop to the daily market for some local produce to cook at home.

Relax with your morning coffee on the balcony and watch the world go by at this apartment in the centre of Nice. Given the central location, it can be a tad noisy, but we love that it's filled with sunlight and comfortable to boot.

Famous tourist sites are only a five-to-ten-minute walk away, so there'll be plenty to do in the local vicinity. The area is full of charming shops and eateries, all of which are accompanied by the delicious aroma of coffee from local cafés. Or, dip your toes in the magnificent blue waves of Cannes or take a boat ride in Monaco – about a forty-five-minute drive away.

If you don't have a car, the location is ideal for walking, so you won't have any transportation issues. If you would like to explore further, the nearest bus stop is only a two–minute walk away, and a tram stop is only a three–minute walk away. This home is ideal for those who appreciate convenience combined with beauty.

As soon as you catch a glimpse of the surrealist pool on the lawn, you know that this home offers something of a twist on the traditional French villa. But the hosts have not compromised on comfort in their search for a unique aesthetic; comfortable lounges and sunny terraces are the perfect settings for a mid-morning coffee and there are plenty of places to soak up the rays of the Côte d'Azur. If you can bear to tear yourself away from the views of the hillside home, there’s a wealth of countryside and culture to explore -- a twenty minute drive will take you to some of the area’s famous beaches or the city centre of fashionable Nice, whereas the quaint village of Vence is just a ten minute walk away. Saunter down to explore the weekly antiques market, visit the chapel designed by Matisse, or prepare for a day’s hiking through the picturesque hills. Here, the sky really is the limit.

Sitting on the luscious hilltops above Nice, this villa brings a little bit of trademark French Riveria glamour to a slightly more rural location.

Out in the garden, it's pretty obvious where summer afternoons will be spent — out in the swimming pool surrounded by trees and loungers. Once you've been for a dip or two, there's shady seating on the covered terrace and a balcony from which you're treated to a rather lovely view of the valley.

Inside, there's definitely a rustic flavour in the design, as seen with the tiled flooring and country kitchen, but there are more contemporary flourishes in the shape of mid-century-inspired furnishings and brightly coloured bathrooms.

In the local area, you'll find plenty of hiking routes and scenic points, as well as a few wine bars and restaurants for well-earned refreshments. If you prefer a day out at the beach, Plage Landsberg takes half an hour to reach in the car and the seaside city of Nice just ten minutes longer than that.

It's hard to know where to start when talking about our favourite things about this magnificent holiday home on France's captivating Cote d'Azur. 

Of course, the meticulously finished, thoughtfully decorated interior is among its many highlights – providing a setting that is at once comfortable and luxurious, whilst also feeling relaxed and homely and exuding a certain beguiling, understated rustic elegance. Step outside, and you're sure to find the exterior areas of this home truly exquisite. With loads of inviting spaces to sit and enjoy a drink while taking in the splendour of your surroundings, the hardest thing will be deciding exactly where to park yourself for an hour or two. Then there's the wonderful location amid a quiet, leafy area in Saint-Paul, one of the area's most sought-after locations. Nestled on the edge of an untamed forest on a large plot of around 5000 square metres filled with fruit trees, palms, and flowers, the feeling here is more of being on a private estate than simply a villa. 

Spend your days here exploring the expansive grounds within and beyond the property's perimeters. Anyone for a spot of tennis? If so, you needn't leave the grounds. The same goes should you want to while away an hour or two with a game of boules, or if you simply fancy a dip in the pool before drying off in the sun, lazing on one of the loungers in the afternoon warmth. 

Or, take the roughly 35-minute stroll into the old town of Saint-Paul-de-Vence, where you will find bundles of quintessentially southern French charm, fantastic restaurants serving the finest local cuisine, and one winding cobbled laneway prettier than the last within the old city walls. For something a little more upmarket, or to mark a special occasion, there are several (that's right, several) Michelin-star restaurants reachable with just a short drive.

For those with a taste for the archetypal French Riviera, the effortlessly chic town of Nice, perched on the glittering waters of the Mediterranean, is just a 25-minute drive away. Now, that's enough to make anyone say Bon Voyage.

It’s naturally cool inside, thanks to the open living areas connected by archways and tiled floors underfoot. The cellar-like stocked bar is a nice surprise. Plus, there’s an exercise room for morning workouts. Bedrooms are split between a main villa and two dependences.

Occupying a privileged spot in Èze, this apartment is perfectly placed for a laidback coastal getaway. There’s a balcony with beautiful sea views and a communal pool for refreshing dips. Inside, the rooms have been thoughtfully designed for couples and solo travellers in search of simplicity and ease. We recommend hiring a car to get around here, but private parking is available and it’s just a short drive to the nearest beach as well as the glamorous heart of Monaco.

You’ll find this contemporary home nestled in the hills of Villefranche-sur-Mer. Private parking is available and it’s just a short drive to the nearest beaches as well as the vibrant heart of Nice.

Our favourite feature is the wrap-around balcony, where spectacular views accompany every al fresco breakfast or afternoon aperitif. Two of the bedrooms open onto the balcony, so you can go straight from slumber to sunshine. And with the centre of beautiful Beaulieu-sur-Mer a short walk away, enjoying a day on the soft sandy beach or a delicious Mediterranean meal couldn’t be simpler. We could get used to this lovely life by the sea – and we think you’ll agree.

Location, location, location – it doesn't get much better than this. Nestled in the picturesque Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, you'll be able to enjoy one of the best positions on the French Riviera here. Overlooking the Cap Ferrat peninsula, there's a sunny balcony to enjoy – the perfect spot for alfresco dining – as well as access to a shared saltwater pool. Prefer the beach? You're in luck, as you'll have your pick of some of the very best, complete with beach clubs and restaurants, all within walking distance. The towns of Cap Ferrat, Villefranche-sur-Mer and Beaulieu-sur-Mer are also just a short stroll from home, meaning there's no need for a car here (though if you do choose to bring one, underground parking is available).

Perched on the edge of historic Vence in the Côte d'Azur region, this home's fantastic views could distract you from the home itself. That would be a shame, as it's a charming home – spread over three floors, you can easily find a spot to tuck yourself away with a glass of red. The outdoor areas shine here – along with the pool, you'll find a boules court and garden seating areas, while the al fresco dining area will serve you well in the warm climate. When it's time to branch out, you'll find several rustic restaurants nearby in Vence, and Nice is just a forty-minute drive away.

Situated up in the hills of the glamorous neighborhood of Beausoliel and overlooking those brilliant aquamarine waters that lent the Cote D'azur its name, this fifth-floor apartment offers luxurious comfort as well as a fabulous location in one of the most exclusive destinations in the world. 

We love how the decor of this home channels influences from its surroundings. Thoughtfully placed accents of vivid blue mimic the hue of the Mediterranean Sea just outside your door, whilst chic teals and beiges work in harmony and succeed in echoing the archetypal colours of the French Riviera. 

Wake to the sounds of seagulls gliding by, before sliding open the doors that lead onto the sun-soaked balcony and feeling the gentle warmth of the morning on your face. If you're really lucky, the scent of freshly brewed coffee will begin to waft in as (hopefully) someone else has already put on the first brew of the day. 

Spend the morning like a true South of France socialite, heading up to the shared rooftop pool for a dip before a leisurely alfresco breakfast with the hills of Monaco as your backdrop. Both the positioning and the purposeful design of this property create opportunities to delight each one of your senses in a manner that would satisfy the Grimaldis themselves.

If today feels like a beach day, then all you need to do is meander down the path leading from the apartment building to the glittering coast. Or, why not take in some of Monaco's other world-famous sights, such as the opulent casino at Monte Carlo or the lavish Prince's Palace? One of our favourite things to do has got to be a stroll around the beautiful Japanese Garden, located just a 15-minute walk from the apartment. 

However you choose to spend your day, the balcony here was made for aperitifs. So, grab yourself a drink to take out onto the balcony and make sure to catch that sunset – the colour of which you'll find mirrored in your Aperol spritz!

You can’t help but be wowed by this French Riviera home. Though this six-bedroom villa is a thoroughly modern addition to the cliffside, it feels as much a part of the landscape as the trees and rocks – perhaps it’s the abundant use of glass, which makes the transition between outside and inside almost seamless, or perhaps it’s the classic, minimalist design inside the home, the simplicity and chicness of the decor echoing the white sands and blue waters of the beach below. Whatever it is, this home looks utterly at home in its perch above the seas, and we think you’ll feel equally at home as you settle into it.

Formerly an olive farm, this villa was converted into an aristocrat’s home the 18th century, and has recently been restored to all its former grandeur, with some added modern comforts. It’s totally charming: the butter yellow exteriors are complimented by forest green shutters, and on one side there’s a tower rising three floors high. The interiors are typified by their old world charm: high ceilings, antique french tiled floors, duck egg blue curtains and oil paintings make the living space a cosy place to relax. The modern, fully renovated kitchen has two sliding glass doors leading to an al fresco table, which is the perfect spot to enjoy home cooked delights on sunny days. 

The villa is in a private and serene area on a hilltop, surrounded by two hectares of fragrant landscaped gardens, featuring numerous terraces, centennial olive trees, cypresses, and oleanders that lead up to a woodland. Wander down one of the paths to admire panoramic views of the Saint-Véran Forest, the Alps and the sea. 

Stroll fifteen minutes down to old Villeneuve-Loubet, a charming Provencal village for coffee and pastries in the morning, before coming home for a dip in the pool. On sunny days, hop in the car and drive fifteen minutes to your pick of sandy beaches along the coastline, before lunch at a seafront restaurant. You’ll want to make it back home for sunset, for drinks on the terrace as the land turns golden. On warm evenings, light the candles at the poolside table and enjoy dinner beneath the stars.

Here you can admire its collection of modern art and wander through its incredible Joan Miró sculpture garden. Further down the lane and into the town centre, you'll find shops and restaurants to enjoy amongst its narrow lanes and weekly farmers market.

This idyllic stone villa is split over two parts, perfect for families enjoying a Côte d'Azur escape together. The views of Eze village are the real highlight here – you can admire them from the terrace, the outdoor pool, and even one of the dining rooms. Inside, there are bedrooms, dining areas and kitchens in both parts of the villa. Outside, there are ample seating areas for lounging or sharing meals together. The location is great too – a fifteen-minute drive to the beach, twenty minutes to Monaco, and a fifteen-minute walk to Eze village where you'll find authentic eateries, cafés and bars.

Soak up some peace and sunshine from this elevated retreat above Nice, with sweeping views across the mountains and sea. Mornings begin on the terrace with coffee in hand, and evenings end with golden skies, good wine, and the glow of the Côte d’Azur. There’s a shared pool to cool off, and plenty of space to unwind inside and out. Everything feels calm, fresh and open. You’ll need a car to reach shops and restaurants, but it’s a small trade-off for such a tranquil setting. This is a dreamy base for recharging, exploring, and enjoying the best of the Riviera at your own pace.
