Relax and unwind in the open-plan living area where a cosy sofa invites you to kick back with a glass of French wine after a day of sightseeing and a long dining table beckons celebratory homemade feats. 

The three bedrooms are calm and quiet with two of them facing a courtyard. We’re particularly fond of the colourful second bedroom with its graffiti mural and large windows letting plenty of sunlight in, as well as the parquet floors that feature throughout. Factor in the sleek bathrooms with their rainfall showers and you’ve got everything you need for a chic, carefree stay. 

Outside of your home, Place de la Bastille is a seven-minute walk away, the vibrant Marais district is a twenty-minute stroll and the Canal Saint-Martin is ten minutes away on foot.

Music lovers will adore this home's location – it's just a three-minute walk to Opéra Bastille and a minute more to Place de la Bastille. The apartment has a few quirks, with the bedroom accessible via a steep, open staircase, and the kitchen in the same space. Downstairs, there’s a cosy stone-walled living room, where guests three and four will sleep. Privacy is limited, but we can forgive that for such a great location.

Inside, it’s pared-back but homely, with two generously sized bedrooms and a large open-plan kitchen and living area overlooking a cobbled courtyard. There’s no air conditioning, but do as the locals do and throw open the windows to let the breeze drift through. As for the neighbourhood, you're in one of the most fashionable parts of the city, surrounded by chic boutiques, galleries and restaurants. Cycle to Notre-Dame in five minutes, or hop on the Metro for a fifteen-minute ride to the Louvre.

The Marais Lifestyle

Feeling groovy? This snug but stylish apartment is influenced by retro design. We love the candy pink kitchen and colourful floral wallpaper. One bedroom and bathroom are in the basement – take care, as the stairs are a bit steep – with the rest of the rooms conveniently located on the ground floor. It's not the biggest in terms of space, especially with the sofa bed in use, but we think it's perfectly functional for smaller groups. As for location, the 11th arrondissement is full of quaint bakeries, vintage shops, and sidewalk cafes frequented by locals. Exploring further afield is also easy, thanks to the nearby metro station.

It's all about the finer detail in this beautiful loft-style apartment that's just ten minutes away on foot from the famous Place de la Bastille. You’ll be wowed by the gallery-style collection of art and photographs on display, especially the mosaic of the homeowner's photography that takes centre stage in the dining room. From the sleek metallic kitchen (stocked with an entire drawer dedicated to tea and coffee) to the living room’s chic desk space and the luminous bedroom, there’s a feeling of both comfort and extraordinary style in equal, stunning measure. Our favourite feature, without a doubt, is the private leafy terrace. As it’s heated, you can spend peaceful mornings here with a good book and a cup of coffee or evening drinks as the sun sets, at any time of year. While we wouldn’t blame you for wanting to stay holed up in your arty haven, go out and explore the nearby sights – of which there are many. Explore the trendy Marais district with its vintage shops and cute cafes (a twenty-minute walk), enjoy a picnic in elegant Place des Vosges (a thirteen-minute walk) or discover the quiet beauty of Père Lachaise Cemetery, a twenty-minute stroll from your door.

Despite being in the heart of the 4th arrondissement, this home, nestled in a quiet courtyard, manages to stay serene. While only four minutes from the Bréguet-Sabin metro, arriving at this location feels like a secret garden, with lush foliage leading up to your front door. Inside, a generous living space is bathed in natural light from large French windows. And the innovative use of glass partitions for the kitchen and bedroom keep the layout modern and spacious, yet very stylish. With touches of both mid-century charm and industrial utilitarianism, the result is a fresh but cosy decor. Our favourite piece has to be the feature wall of quirky animal portraits (maybe your furry friend could join in?). Outside, if you’re looking for landmarks, you’ll be spoilt for choice between two exceptionally famous squares. The Place de la Bastille is a four-minute walk, and the Place des Vosges is six. The latter is also home to an important attraction for fans of French literature – the Maison de Victor Hugo. Less than 2km away, we recommend making the trendy Canal Saint-Martin your top spot for drinking and dining. Street food and waterside cocktails are definitely on the menu.

This apartment is well-placed to explore Paris. You'll find it in the lively 11th arrondissement, just a stone's throw from Place de la Bastille. Many eateries, music venues, and shops are in the local area, not to mention metro stations within walking distance that make travel a cinch. Back home, the cosy lounge is where you'll do your unwinding. A small kitchen is ready for you to whip up light bites, while the lofted bedrooms are comfortable – albeit a tad snug. There's also a sofa bed for guests five and six, but we think it'd be a squeeze.

The home is ideal for any group travelling together, though two guests will sleep in the living area, which would compromise some socialising space.
