We love this home's location in Arsenal, near creative Marais, known for its old, meandering streets, cool art galleries, fashionable shops, artisanal coffee shops and contemporary restaurants. Admire the works of art at the Pompidou Centre, or head to the Musée National Picasso-Paris (just over ten minutes on foot), while music lovers can head to the Opéra Bastille, just over 300 metres away.

Housed in a beautiful building noted for its heritage interest, this colourful apartment was designed by a renowned Parisian architect and mixes contemporary French design with character features. Think luxurious marble finishes, crystal chandeliers and French doors leading to Juliet balconies. If you think this is sumptuous, wait until you see some of the bedrooms, the master with its in-room freestanding bath is particularly lovely. Sitting in the heart of the Bastille neighbourhood, this book-lined and beautiful apartment is your quiet haven in Paris’ bustling centre. Place de Bastille is a two-minute walk away, where you’ll find an open-air market and plenty of transport links to whisk you to every corner of Paris in minutes. Stick around the neighbourhood to wander the waterside gardens and classic bistros. It’s also a five-minute walk to Gare de Lyon for trains to the sultry south, or just to dine in the stunning Train Bleu restaurant.

The apartment is a bibliophile’s dream with a wall of books lining the main bedroom and second bedroom/study. Walls are adorned with artworks, ranging from simple sketches to lavish oil paintings for an eclectic feel. Traditional French windows let the sunlight stream into the living room and the kitchen, has everything you need to try your hand at French cooking. The best part is this apartment looks out over a plant-filled communal courtyard so it’s blissfully quiet at night.

This stylish Parisian apartment wouldn’t be out of place in Brooklyn with its exposed brick walls, cool contemporary furnishings and artsy bedrooms. Located in the city’s historic Bastille neighbourhood, you’re in an ideal position to soak up the best of Paris’ art, culture and gastronomy while also enjoying an endlessly comfortable stay. 

Relax and unwind in the open-plan living area where a cosy sofa invites you to kick back with a glass of French wine after a day of sightseeing and a long dining table beckons celebratory homemade feats. 

The three bedrooms are calm and quiet with two of them facing a courtyard. We’re particularly fond of the colourful second bedroom with its graffiti mural and large windows letting plenty of sunlight in, as well as the parquet floors that feature throughout. Factor in the sleek bathrooms with their rainfall showers and you’ve got everything you need for a chic, carefree stay. 

Outside of your home, Place de la Bastille is a seven-minute walk away, the vibrant Marais district is a twenty-minute stroll and the Canal Saint-Martin is ten minutes away on foot. 


Basquiat's Bastille

This home is located in what Napoleon considered to be the jewel of Paris – Place des Vosges. It belongs to a painter and her influence is everywhere, with an impressive collection of art adorning the walls, unique pieces of furniture and even a sculpture or two. Maximalism is the order of the day here, but with such charming Parisian flair, we dare even the most dedicated minimalist not to fall in love with this home. It also delivers on the amenities front with plenty of space to socialise and air-conditioned bedrooms. The winding streets of Le Marais are right on your doorstep, leading you to art galleries, boutiques and plenty of bistros where you can stop and watch the world go by. And, if you want to see the city, there are three different Metro stations within a five minute walk from the apartment. 

The Gallerist

Perfect for a couple, this pied-à-terre is comfortable and cosy. It’s a studio apartment, so space is limited, but you’ll have everything you need for a city break. Whip up a light breakfast in the kitchenette, take a seat at the dining table, and plan the rest of your day. Place de la Bastille is just a short stroll away, as is the Marais, with its boutiques and bakeries. Bastille Metro station is served by lines one, five, and eight, so getting around Paris is a breeze. 

Paris à Deux

You'll feel like you're on top of the world from this 19th-floor apartment, featuring stunning panoramic views over Paris. Needless to say, this home is full of light, which makes up for its somewhat small footprint inside. It goes without saying that the wraparound terrace is what makes this home stand out from the rest. Enjoy a romantic meal under the stars with views of the city skyline, including the Eiffel Tower and Sacré-Coeur. You'll even catch the views from the bathroom – brushing your teeth in the morning has never been so enchanting – and probably never will be again, after a stay here. Serve up breakfast, or sit back with some jazz music playing in the background as you take in the sites from the comfort of your own balcony. And when you're ready to head out, hop on the metro at Reuilly-Diderot or Gare de Lyon – both within ten minutes walking distance to wherever your heart is pulling you. If photography is your jam, take some snaps over on Rue Cremieux, a fifteen-minute walk away, as it offers the perfect Instagram backdrop with its standout colourful architecture. We recommend spending a morning at Place d'Aligre – one of Paris' best farmer's markets. Once you've picked up some fresh local produce, make your way over to the Seine for a picnic of dreams on its charming banks and an afternoon well spent – Parisian style. 


Juliet's View

This loft space is a hodgepodge of styles, with a selection of antique pieces and eclectic curiosities. You’ll find a fully-equipped kitchen and an extensive music collection – ideal for slow afternoons idly cooking and drinking wine, and finding the perfect soundtrack for the record player. Find a nook to relax with a paperback or stretch your legs with a walk through your neighbourhood. Bastille is famous not only as one of the most politically symbolic places in Europe but also for its jazz clubs, independent galleries and diverse food scene. Plus, the iconic Place de la Bastille and Opéra Bastille are a five-minute walk away.

Snakes & Ladders

Despite being in the heart of the 4th arrondissement, this home, nestled in a quiet courtyard, manages to stay serene. While only four minutes from the Bréguet-Sabin metro, arriving at this location feels like a secret garden, with lush foliage leading up to your front door. Inside, a generous living space is bathed in natural light from large French windows. And the innovative use of glass partitions for the kitchen and bedroom keep the layout modern and spacious, yet very stylish. With touches of both mid-century charm and industrial utilitarianism, the result is a fresh but cosy decor. Our favourite piece has to be the feature wall of quirky animal portraits (maybe your furry friend could join in?). Outside, if you’re looking for landmarks, you’ll be spoilt for choice between two exceptionally famous squares. The Place de la Bastille is a four-minute walk, and the Place des Vosges is six. The latter is also home to an important attraction for fans of French literature – the Maison de Victor Hugo. Less than 2km away, we recommend making the trendy Canal Saint-Martin your top spot for drinking and dining. Street food and waterside cocktails are definitely on the menu. 

Monsieur Woof

Nestled in the fashionable Marais district, this apartment is an ideal base for a couple or small family on a French getaway. Granted, at full occupancy, two people will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the second bedroom, but it’s still a private place to relax at the end of the day. We love the high ceilings, original beams, and views of the Parisian rooftops. The living space is also rather roomy, making it an ideal spot to unwind after your adventures. Location-wise, you’ll find hip boutiques and trendy restaurants aplenty in the surrounding area. For those keen to cook, the nearby daily markets are worth visiting for fresh produce and local wine.
