Capitole Cosette

Known as La Ville Rose on account of its pink-coloured buildings, Toulouse is a striking city home to world-class art, the ubiquitous cassoulet, lively food markets and this comfortable, laidback apartment. The interiors are reminiscent of a Provençal farmhouse – we loved the exposed brick, stucco walls and timber ceiling beams. Wake up feeling refreshed in the cosy bedroom and look forward to spending unhurried mornings curled up on the plump leather sofa with a double espresso in hand.

Should you have some business to attend to, the dedicated desk makes remote working a breeze. When you’re ready to explore your surroundings, you’ll find the Saint Michel Marcel Langer metro station conveniently located a seven-minute walk from your doorstep, connecting you to all four corners of Toulouse. Enjoy a spot of sightseeing in the Capitole – we recommend visiting the Notre Dame de la Daurade basilica and Couvent des Jacobins – before seeking out a brasserie for some slap-up Occitan cuisine.

Brick & Beam

Not far from the Spanish border you’ll find Perpignan, a classified City of Art and History – thanks to its roots as a former Majorcan capital – and home to this eclectic apartment. It’s only fitting that the bold interior echoes elements of both Spanish and French flair as an ode to its surroundings. The result is a vibrant space that honours natural wood and rattan but also puts more opulent touches front and centre. 

Spend your time here unwinding with an early-morning coffee on the balcony or by reading on the sunny sofa. Gather around the kitchen island after lunch to pour the wine, snacking as you chat. 

When you wander out, you’ll find Spanish influences in the Cathedral of Saint-Jean-Baptiste and the majestic promenade des Platanes. Take holiday photos in front of the many ancient buildings and sit down to eat at one of the local restaurants or cafes. This lovely home can be found in Gruissan, a picturesque town in the south of France. If you’re hoping for white sand beaches and beautiful scenery, this is an excellent choice of location. Best of all, it’s home to this stylish abode. 

This home ticks every box when it comes to fuss-free holiday homes. It’s small but perfectly formed, with a cosy living room that’s the heart of the home. Children will love sleeping on the mezzanine level, where they can have their own space while still being close to the grown-ups. 

The outside space here is sure to win over everyone, though. You’ll have access to the shared swimming pool, which is a dream to dive into on hot, sunny days. You can sunbathe alongside the pool, dipping a toe in every now and then, or choose to soak up the sun on one of two terraces. There’s shade aplenty if you’d rather curl up with a book and a lemonade, too. 

Plage de Matteille is less than a kilometre away, where you can splash in the shallows and build sandcastles. It’s also easy to stroll to the harbour promenade – it’s a lovely way to spend an evening. Hikers will be thrilled to be within reach of the trails up Massif de la Clape, which boasts some spectacular views. There’s something for everyone here. 


Pink & Teal

If you're on the lookout for a quintessentially Provençal French chateau, then look no further. This quaint and charming home is packed with old-fashioned character, with ornate flooring, exposed beams and elegant vintage furniture that all give the home a special feel. But don't mistake it for a boring antiquated abode – there's plenty to keep you entertained here too, with a pool table, ping pong table and of course, the wonderful outdoor pool, which is perfect for fun in the sun. We particularly love the covered terrace, with a dining set where you can share a bottle of French wine as the sun sets.

Located just a five-minute drive from Salvagnac, you'll be within easy reach of this country house's local eateries and French bakery. With a private heated swimming pool, outdoor dining area, patio lounge and a games room – it offers luxury home amenities in a humble environment. Perfect for a large family or group of friends, the grounds are huge and surrounded by nature, with grassy areas and ample space and shade for children to run and play. If you're staying here during the colder months, a cosy aesthetic can be found inside where the log burner fireplace offers a tasteful finishing touch. 




The Valley Forge

Shimmering Brick

Just outside the medieval city of Carcassonne, this home puts the castle ramparts, surrounding vineyards, and the Pyrenees mountains front and centre. The garden has everything you need to unwind in the sunshine – a heated pool, private Jacuzzi, pétanque court, and a playground for little ones. Inside may not be as characterful as the stone exterior, but it's bright and roomy. All the beds can be converted into two singles if needed, making this an ideal option for families. The well-designed interiors reflect the Catalan heritage, and the building benefits from ground-floor bedrooms and en-suites. Outside living is where this home shines – whether you want to unwind by the swimming pool, explore the gardens or enjoy a glass of Byrrh, a local aperitif on the terrace. The location suits those eager to explore the woodland, but the beaches aren't too far away either.
