If you're fancying a getaway to the mountains, you've found the right place. Alternatively, summertime here is just as beautiful, with an abundance of fun activities for you and your loved ones. Wooden beams adorn the walls and ceilings inside the home, giving it that gorgeous chalet vibe. The fluffy chairs offer you comfort as you tuck into a homecooked meal before heading out for a long walk outdoors. 

A short stroll takes you to the Marie Paradis Promenade, a beautiful walkway that provides you with amazing views of the encompassing trees and mountains that reach through the clouds. You'll reach a bridge that you can walk across where you can listen to the sound of the river rushing beneath your feet. Dining out in style is as easy as pie here, with a fantastic selection of eateries to sample cuisine from around the world. After exploring the area, head into the cosy Le Jekyll pub for some delicious food and a refreshing pint. 

Verdant Twilight

In the charming ski town of Les Gets, this chalet is big enough for a large family or group of friends who like to hit the slopes or hiking trails – depending on the season. Post-ski sessions in the hot tub come with a stunning view of the Alps. Inside, the place is equipped with everything you’ll need to feel right at home, and some of the bedrooms boast balcony access. Your host can provide a private chef, breakfast delivery and the possibility to upgrade to half-board for an extra touch of luxury. 

The Snowman's Song

Offering guests an enticing mix of traditional mountain design and modern style, this chic three-bedroom apartment is the perfect family-friendly mountain escape. Whether you're visiting in the depths of winter in search of virgin powder or stopping off in the summer for breathtaking hikes and bone-shaking mountain bike trails, it's a true four-season escape.

While you won't find the ancient, gnarled beams of some of the vast chalets in this upscale French resort, its wood-clad walls pair perfectly with the mid-century-style furnishings and faux animal fur. The open layout provides a sociable sanctuary out of the elements. When the sun's shining, you're welcome to make the most of the spacious decking equipped with Acapulco chairs and a bubbling hot tub. Moreover, each of the three welcoming bedrooms offers its guests direct access to the deck, ideal for rushing back inside after a wintry dip in the water.

The apartment's location in Courchevel Moriond (formerly 1650) ensures easy access to some of the finest skiing in the French Alps, in the form of the titanic Les Trois Vallées. Meanwhile, the fact it's on the edge of this area means that the slopes are often quieter. After an adrenaline-fuelled day on the mountain, Moriond is known for its vibrant après-ski scene. In addition, it offers a variety of restaurants serving everything from homemade burgers to haute cuisine.

Ice Bear

We love the views over to Mont-Blanc from the terrace of this home. Inside, the living space has the wow factor and the owners’ love of art, design, and architecture shows in the decoration and furnishings. This place is perfect for family or friends with its cosy fireplace, sauna, TV and games area, and dormitory room that the children will love. There’s also a reading corner and an office space for when you need to catch up on work. Set at the end of a private road on the edge of the forest, this home has a wonderful location. It’s 500 metres from the ski lifts and offers easy access to hiking and bike trails.

Alpine Sojourn

With wondrous mountain views, a warming hot tub, and an incredible location, this chalet apartment presents some of the area’s best alpine living. Located in Argentière, a picturesque ski village in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc region, you’ll be continuously impressed by the comfort and style of this home, as well as its amenities. 

In a traditional alpine village, you might not expect such an upscale contemporary interior. Blending luxury with rustic charm, the home’s soft furnishings, warming fire, and calming tones provide the perfect place for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Not only is the interior delightfully cosy, but the whole home has your comfort in mind. If you want to find your zen, your host can arrange for yoga lessons, or you can unwind in your private sauna, or even cheers to sunset in the hot tub. And for the cherry on top – your host can arrange for your fridge to be stocked with wine hand-picked by expert sommeliers. That cheers to sunset will be extra special with a sommelier-approved wine in hand. 

Step outside and you’ll reach the Grand Montets ski lifts in just a few minutes by foot. Enjoy a day on the slopes before heading for a delicious lunch in Argentière – all that skiing certainly works up an appetite. There are several bars and pubs to enjoy a well-deserved drink, too. Or, you can make your way to the centre of Chamonix – it’s about a fifteen-minute drive away – to take full advantage of its bustling après ski scene. A local team of travel assistants can help you plan and make the most out of your time in the Alps with ski slopes, restaurants, and bar recommendations. 

Alpine Adoration

This sixteenth-century château evokes images of fairy-tales and magic spells. Set within a five-acre park of the Cevennes mountains, this is an idyllic setting for a special occasion or simply a much-needed family holiday. With plenty of outside space, a barbecue area, a heated outdoor pool, and, of course, plenty of bedrooms, this holiday home calls for a relaxing trip into the mountains. While you can enjoy complete privacy around the home, the nearest train station is only a fifteen-minute walk away and can easily get you to the Montpellier coast or even Paris.

Brothers Grimm

This contemporary cabin makes it easy to experience the majestic beauty of the Alps' valleys. Outside, you can enjoy incredible mountain views onto the Parmelan, Annecy's imposing limestone plateau. There’s a barbecue for alfresco dining and you’ll find all the essentials you could need to settle in and unwind. Inside, the rooms are simple, family-friendly and with plenty of space to socialise and stretch out. You will need a car to get around here, but it’s less than a fifteen-minute drive to Menthon-Saint-Bernard beach as well as the centre of Annecy where you’ll find a great selection of amenities. 

The Parmelan

Right in the heart of France's Three Valleys lies Courchevel, one of the most famous ski resorts in the Alps. Powder fresh pistes, miles and miles of ski runs and one of the longest ski seasons in the area will impress those keen to hit the slopes. You'll find this apartment in the village, just a stone's throw from lifts, gourmet restaurants and eateries. As far as locales go, you can't beat it.

When you're not exploring this idyllic corner of the Alps, make yourself comfortable back at home. Ditch your gear in the on-site ski locker, then relax sore muscles with a session in the shared sauna or a yoga lesson. The balcony is actually our favourite spot – the snow-capped mountain view is incredibly hard to resist. Regardless of the weather, we think it's the ideal backdrop for sunset glasses of French wine and steaming mugs of hot chocolate – sounds postcard-perfect to us.

Inside, the chalet-chic design evokes that warm and homey feeling as soon as you step inside – picture wood-clad walls, faux fur throws and a gleaming contemporary kitchen that's a dream for whipping up family feasts. There are catering options available here, too – whether you fancy pre-made breakfasts, Michelin-starred dinners delivered straight to your door or a private chef, you'll be well looked after by your friendly hosts.

Alpine Twilight

This stylish alpine apartment puts you within strolling distance of Chamonix’s historic town centre and the cable car. The space is modern yet homely, with an open-plan kitchen and living area that opens onto a balcony – the perfect perch for morning coffee with mountain views. The second bedroom is on the smaller side and windowless, but cosy for kids, and with a location this good, we think it’s a fair trade. From ski slopes to summer trails, or simply breathing in the fresh mountain air, this is base camp done right.

Chamonix Haven

Lovingly renovated in 2020, this home in the heart of the Val d’Arly has both charm and location on its side. You don’t have to look far to find proof of the enviable position – simply wander out onto the balcony and you’ll spot the rolling green mountain there as confirmation. But it isn’t just about the views either, not when the ski slopes of Les Evettes are a mere 1.8 miles away and can be reached via the free shuttles that run in season. Get on the snow and test your mettle on the different ski runs, before coming back for a warming Après-ski drink on the balcony. 

The mix of natural wood and a light colour palette makes this home feel incredibly cosy and we can imagine ourselves curling up on the couch in thick socks and a slouchy jumper. Enjoy cups of coffee as you socialise in the lounge, or carve out some you-time by getting your nose in a novel. 

With ample windows, the home is not only bright and inviting, but it means you get to keep an eye on the view even when you’re having a meal at the dining table, or settling in to watch a movie together.

It may be perfectly set up for a skiing holiday, but it’ll tend just as nicely to a nature lover’s green spirit whilst giving the whole group a space in which to relax and rejuvenate. 

The Snowy Villager

With spectacular views across the majestic mountains of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, this apartment welcomes you to experience the rejuvenating spirit of alpine living. 

Sitting just outside the resort, this is the perfect setting for a rustic retreat whilst enjoying the close proximity to the heart of the action – the nearest ski lift is just a two–minute drive away. 

Inside, you’ll find a light–filled home that truly reflects and celebrates the natural beauty of its surroundings. With soft, natural tones and earthy textures, there’s a calming simplicity to this space. And whether you’re enjoying an early morning coffee on the balcony or spending cosy nights by the fire, this is the kind of home that inspires a wonderful sense of wellbeing. 

From here, days can be spent hiking, skiing and simply enjoying the atmospheric beauty from a seat perched on the mountain top, or down in the town centre.
