With the ski lift only 200 meters away, this bright and cosy cabin apartment in Les Gets is a dream location for a family holiday on the slopes. Considering you're overlooking the village with a cinema, bars, restaurants supermarket, basic supplies are within walking distance, but the communal wellness area also offers a shared gym and sauna. The ski locker is ideal for equipment storage, and the bunk beds are perfect for little ones. The balcony is a nice touch for crisp coffee mornings.

Alpine Mornings

Bringing together the best of modern luxuries and traditional chalet comforts, Leyland Cypress is able to accommodate up to six guests within its cosy, yet modern four walls. All beds are zip-and-links, meaning you’ll have plenty of flexibility when it comes to sleeping arrangements. For an additional cost, guests can also make use of the complex’s wellness area, which includes a gym, an outdoor jacuzzi, a sauna, and an indoor pool. Those visiting in warmer months to enjoy the area’s mountain biking will also be grateful to hear of the building’s fully secured indoor bike storage. Any skiers and snowboarders can easily walk to the nearest ski lift in just ten minutes, making it an excellent choice for those that want to be out and about in this impressive alpine setting.

Leyland Cypress

Nestled in the heart of Morzine, this home is a treat for the eyes inside and out. There’s a terrace and a garden with stunning mountain views. You can get cosy by the fire in the living room and the bedrooms make it easy to switch off and unwind. Plus, your host can help organise special extras to enhance your stay – including massage treatments, private chefs and fridge fills. And when it comes to explorations further afield, it’s less than a ten-minute walk into the vibrant town centre and there’s a bus stop at the end of the road – making it easy to explore further afield. 


An Alpine Tale

This renovated barn in the Burgundy countryside is a twenty-minute drive from the charming town of Beaune. The hosts, Laura and Peter, have kitted the place out with all the creature comforts you’ll need for an unforgettable break. There’s a sauna available in the autumn and winter, a garden for refreshments alfresco and a bar for sampling the region’s best wines. At capacity, two guests will sleep on a sofa bed, which may not be ideal if you’re planning an extended stay.

Burgundy Haven

Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Burgundy region from this fabulous country house surrounded by serene landscapes and open countryside. From the moment you arrive, prepare to be awe-struck by the home's stunning 16th-century facade featuring blue window shutters and stone infrastructure. 

The inside is just as beautiful as exposed wooden beams, and original stone floors pave the way to a cosy stay. But, while the space undoubtedly preserves its original charm, modern furnishings offer style and practicality. We particularly love the pink and yellow colour scheme of the kitchen, with bold checkerboard flooring and vibrant walls – this room, in particular, brags bags of charm. 

Open the French windows onto the gorgeous grassy garden, where you'll also find a sunny terrace - perfect for lazy afternoons with a glass of local wine in hand. Wander around the wooded grounds, reconnecting with nature as you go. The local neighbourhood is an equally dreamy setting where you'll find only three local people living there all year round. 

It doesn't get much more rural than that. Nearby, you'll find the towns of Sennecey le Grand, 5 kilometres to the north, and Tournus, 7 kilometres to the south. In each of these local towns, there are shops and restaurants to pick all you need. Don't miss the rolling local vineyards where the winegrowers welcome you to tour the vines and sample the wines. 


Un Petit Verre 

Welcoming up to seven guests, Douglas Fir is a modern, yet utterly charming space to call home on your next trip to the French Alps. Tucked away neatly above the town’s centre, you’re just a ten-minute walk from the ski lift, plenty of restaurants and cafes, and the nearest supermarket is less than five minutes away. Guests will also have access to a private ski locker, a storage room and free parking. Those who enjoy the finer things in life may also want to make use of the wellness area. For an additional cost, you can use the sauna, hammam, gym, outdoor hot tub or indoor swimming pool. Anyone visiting in warmer months and looking to mountain bike will also be delighted to hear of the fully-secured indoor bike storage. Your hosts have really thought of everything here.

Douglas Fir

Welcoming four guests, Sitka Spruce is a cosy home within a modern complex. Located above central Morzine, you’re just a short walk from supermarkets, restaurants and bars, and, most importantly, it’s just a ten-minute walk to the Super Morzine ski lift. You’ll also have your own private ski locker where you can leave behind your wet gear after a long day on the slopes and focus on relaxing. Prepare a wonderful meal in the sleek kitchenette or make yourself comfortable on the soft sofa in the living room. For an additional fee, guests can also access the wellness area, which includes a gym, outdoor hot tub, sauna, hammam and an indoor pool. For those of you who are visiting to explore the area on mountain bikes, there’s a fully-secured indoor bike storage available for use.

Sitka Spruce

So constant is this home’s beauty, you can visit summer or winter and be bowled over by the views on offer from the balcony. In winter, when the Vosges Massif is capped in white and the snow lies in wait at the La Bresse-Hohneck ski resort, you can wrap up warm and enjoy a steaming cup of cacao as you gaze out over the blanketed town below. And it’s even more beautiful at sunset, when the orange glow of lights bathes it all in a fairytale glow. Although some of the winter wonderland atmosphere might evaporate as the warmer weather starts to melt the snow, the vibrant green beauty it leaves in its wake is still a sight to behold. 

When you’re not dining alfresco simply to get another look at that view, you can cosy up in the small living room to spend family movie night together, or opt for a bit of quiet time as you get in bed early with a good romance novel. 

With a free shuttle to and from La Bresse-Hohneck, you can get on the piste as early as you’d like and practice on the slopes until your limbs are in need of a hot shower. After, when you’ve sufficiently warmed up, you can have a après-ski drink on the balcony before switching on the fondue machine for a night of cheesy goodness around the dining table. 

Town centre is only a ten minute walk away, so it’s easy to stock up on whatever you need at the bakery, pharmacy, and shop.

Firefly Peak

Super convenient and with enough beds to host five guests, this is a great spot for a family looking to escape to the French Alps. Wood accents and a large mountain mural give this modern home a cosy feel that is sure to impress. Nestled just above Morzine’s centre, Conifers' location means you can easily be part of the action or enjoy some peace and quiet back at the home. The Super Morzine Ski Lift, for example, is a mere ten-minute walk away and your nearest grocery store is just five minutes on foot. Whether you’re visiting in the winter or summer months, there’s plenty going on here to keep you busy and entertained. At the end of a long day, you can prepare a delicious meal in the fully equipped kitchen before settling down for a cosy movie night. Guests can also access the wellness area, which, for an additional fee, includes a hammam, a sauna, outdoor hot tub, indoor swimming pool and a gym.

Conifers

Go back in time with a stay at this memorable holiday home. This 18th-century gîte sits on the edge of the beautiful Parc Naturel Régional du Morvan, making it ideal for those who want to explore the stunning French countryside. Inside, you'll find antique furnishings, oil paintings and historic decor that makes the home feel truly special, as well as some places to soak up its history, such as the heirloom library. Outside, the pretty courtyard is ideal for alfresco dining, while the outdoor lounge area is great for drinks at sunset.

Gîte Chic

In a quiet area of Montriond, France, this chalet boasts a balcony with incredible mountain views, a private garden, a cosy roaring fireplace in the living room, plus, its own sauna, and outdoor hot tub. Grab your skiing equipment each morning from the storage room and hit the slopes in no time with the nearby ski lifts. 

Aprés-ski, we would love to slip into the soothing bubbles of the hot tub, surrounded by the snowy landscape to admire or soothe our muscles in the home’s sauna. Grab a bottle of wine from the wine fridge in the kitchen and enjoy a nightcap on the balcony. Then, curl up warm and cosy with a mug of hot chocolate in front of the fireplace.
