There's a desk ideal for remote workers, a well-equipped kitchen if you fancy rustling up tapas, and two cosy bedrooms. Only the living area has air conditioning but we think you'll be fine with that once you see the private terrace. Created to make the most of indoor-outdoor living, it's also cleverly constructed to keep the south-facing areas cool and shaded, shielding your from the heat of the Sardinian sun. While the stark grey facade and sharply angled lines make a breathtaking first impression, we think the interiors speak for themselves too. We love how the architect decided to show off the incredible landscape of La Maddalena by creating a picture frame out of every window – each one set at the exact right height to maximise the impact. There’s even a telescope in the study so you can explore the area from the comfort of your own home, or go full Rear Window and see what your neighbours are up to down in the harbour. The muted grey tones of the exterior are mirrored in the contemporary kitchen, while the dining room is framed by floor-to-ceiling windows offering the best views in the house.
