You'll find a private swimming pool and alfresco dining table all positioned towards the scenery. Personally, we like the little observation nook. Two chairs create the perfect opportunity for a romantic sunset moment. Though the interior doesn't quite hold a candle to the surroundings, it's still comfortable. You'll find this apartment in Eixample, an area packed with Catalan charm. You've got Gaudí masterpieces a short walk away, restaurants and shops on your doorstep, and easy access to many of Barcelona's top attractions. Obviously, the central location is a major draw, but the apartment itself isn't too shabby either. There's a desk ideal for remote workers, a well-equipped kitchen if you fancy rustling up tapas, and two cosy bedrooms. Only the living area has air conditioning but we think you'll be fine with that once you see the private terrace. Perfect for alfresco dinner and drinks, we can't think of a better spot to unwind after sightseeing.

Gaudí's Realm

Enjoying a wonderful hillside position, this stylish villa provides breathtaking views over the Mediterranean Sea and mountains. Step out onto the spacious terrace and soak up the spectacular scenery from the private pool or a comfy sun lounger. As for location, Cala Ginepro's crystal-clear waters and pebbled beach are 800 metres away, while the city of Olbia and its many cafe-flanked piazzas is a 12-kilometre drive.

Its central location, set close to the town’s historic centre crammed with wine bars and a restaurant-lined plaza, will come in handy as there’s no kitchen at this home. But with an impressive private balcony overlooking the island of Tavolara and the Gulf of Olbia for morning coffees and evening drinks, we don’t think you’ll mind.
