A short drive from the city of Montpellier, this villa offers fantastic views and plenty to do. We think it's a great choice for families and friend groups – it's bursting with amenities, including all-terrain bikes, a pétanque court, a heated infinity pool, and a gym and sauna. The dedicated office has a double sofa bed for two guests, and there are two EV chargers here for added convenience. We do recommend hiring a car here to make the most of your stay, whether it's exploring Montpellier or the village of Montferrier-sur-Lez, or spending a day at the beach.

This lovely little villa lies on a small medieval hamlet, surrounded by Mediterranean gardens. We think it's ideal for a romantic getaway – children aren't permitted here, so you can take advantage of the peace and quiet. With your own Jacuzzi on the terrace and a private pool heated between April and October, it's well-equipped for alfresco living. We highly recommend hiring a car here to make the most of this gorgeous location, whether it's a day trip to Sommières or the bustling Montpellier.

With its secluded, heated pool, this elegant apartment housed in a 16th-century building in Uzès is the perfect French retreat. This charming restored home is full of character, from the remarkable circular stone staircase and wooden ceiling beams to the old stone floors. We love the gracious living room with its views over the fig and bamboo trees, the pool and the town's rooftops. There's a wood-burning stove, too, for cosy nights when the weather turns chilly and a desk for catching up on work as well. 

This place is ideal for a couple or family with two children. The icing on the cake here is the incredible hospitality from your lovely hosts. They can arrange all sorts of activities for you to do, including walking tours and cookery classes. 

When you're ready to explore the area, take a stroll around the town and admire the wonderful architecture or head to its renowned weekly market, then take a seat at one of its traditional restaurants. Further afield, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Pont du Gard, under a twenty-minute drive away, or discover historic Nîmes, around thirty minutes in the car.


Secret Baignade

This rustic-chic apartment, located in the centre of Avignon, packs in the Provençal charm by the bucketload. The floors are made up of vintage tiles and original wooden boards, both aged like fine wine. Look up, and you'll note the stunning exposed timber frame of the building. All this character and period charm is sparked into life by the occasional modern touch, with elegant mid-century-inspired furniture, bright pops of colour and a minimalist, modern kitchen. Avignon is a city with a village feel. Step out, and you're just a few hundred metres from the storied Les Halles market and the Place de l'Horloge. It's the cultural epicentre of Provence and attracts art lovers and history buffs alike. Pair its cultural cred with lush parks, riverside strolls, and plenty of streetside cafes, and you've got an irresistible combo for a city break.


Sur le Pont d'Avignon

This beautiful village house is the perfect place to enjoy a holiday in the Luberon region of Provence. The property is located on a hillside on the edge of Gordes, one of France's classified 'Plus Beaux Villages'. The Provençal valley views from the terraced grounds are incredible.

The house has been decorated with refined style and there's an authentic ambience across its elegant lounge, dining room and perfectly equipped kitchen with doors sliding open to the al-fresco dining terrace. Modern additions include air-conditioning throughout, a Sonos music system and Smart TVs in its mezzanine lounge and two of the three bedrooms.

Sleeping up to six guests, the bedrooms are gorgeous, one with a king-size double bed, wood-beamed ceiling and romantic rolltop bath, another with a queen-size double, sofa and en suite shower room and the third en suite with twin beds and lovely views through its little windows. 

Outside, the vistas of Provence will take your breath away whether you are enjoying a glass of Luberon AOC wine on the upper terrace or peacefully reading on the outdoor sofa beneath the poolside pergola. The swimming pool is superb for warm summer days when you don't wish to venture too far. We love the rustic charm of the terraced grounds with old stone steps, pretty pathways and swathes of summer colour.

Set amidst the French countryside, this gorgeous retreat offers the French countryside experience with an added touch of Mediterranean charm. You'll be blown away by the quaint, idyllic scenes found both inside and outside of this home. We particularly love the enormous, curved Orangerie style backdoor which paves the way to the magical garden setting featuring a shaded alfresco dining area, day beds and a crystal clear pool – divine for a refreshing dip during the height of summer in the south of France. Back inside, the stunning open-plan kitchen-living area ensures a sociable stay for the whole group to enjoy together. The kitchen in particular will excite guests who are fond of cooking as the large central island makes it perfect for group cooking sessions. Why not book for a private chef to come and give you French cooking lessons? You'll also find that the local area allows guests to experience French culture at its finest. Mornings are for market visits here, so head on down into the local village, just a three-minute walk away where you'll find a lady named Patricia who sells fresh fruit and vegetables every Monday and Wednesday morning in the central square, Place de la Fontaine. Better still, visit on a Saturday as this is the main market day for the villagers to stock up on fresh meat, fish, cheese, truffles, wine and flowers. It's safe to say that such a warm and friendly atmosphere is hard to come by in France, if you're not in a rural village like this one.

Set on a stunning country estate in the heart of Barbentane, this 18th-century house features an array of charming original features and modern amenities that guarantee a luxurious stay filled with memories. Wander around the hectare of grounds, where you'll find an abundance of fauna and flora amidst the rosemary and thyme gardens. Unwind on the surrounding lawns surrounded by Provençal plants, or better still, take a seat on the terrace shaded by the ancient trees.

The interior of the house has been sensitively restored. Classic features, including wooden beams, an open hearth and ornate tiles are maintained whilst modern finishes complement its original charm. There are plenty of spaces dedicated to relaxation inside the home - a serene living room with plush sofas or a calm master suite opening out to a Juliette balcony. We highly doubt a rainy day here, however, the pianist of the group can soundtrack evenings in front of the crackling fire if a shower does show.

Leisurely afternoons are best spent in the pool or lounging on the south-facing terrace. Come evening time, gather around the Mediterranean-style dining room for a chef-cooked dinner with the region’s best ingredients. End the evening with a few games of boules as the sunset unfolds.

Located around fifteen minutes from the centre of Avignon, you'll be within a short drive of an array of national parks and picturesque streets lined with boulangeries and local restaurants.

Provence Montagnette

After Peter Mayle’s A Year in Provence shone a light on the laidback South of France lifestyle in the early 90s, it became almost impossible to find a simple, totally authentic French village that wasn’t already swarming with holidaymakers to visit. But we’ll let you into a secret. Saint Hilaire-d’Ozilhan is just that. And this traditional, honey-coloured home surrounded by gently swaying trees is the perfect retreat for your French countryside escape. Inside you’ll find a simple but elegantly furnished space, with white walls, exposed wooden beams and sparse but comfortable grey furniture. There’s both a table football and a pool table in the living rooms, plus a neat kitchen with striking chocolate marble countertops. The garden is spectacular, with a pool and jacuzzi, plus gorgeous views of the valley down below. The village is a short walk from your front door, and you'll find a smattering of shops, restaurants, and a very pretty church. Avignon, with its famous pont (that’s bridge, just in case you don’t know the song) is only a twenty-minute ride away, and Peter Mayle territory (aka the hill-top towns of the Luberon) is about an hour’s drive.

At foot of the Mont Ventoux, in the heart of Vaucluse, nestled between centuries-old oaks and flowers, this charming home is perfect for a couple looking to get away from it all. First and foremost, with a pretty south-east facing garden, furnished terrace and private swimming pool, there's plenty of outdoor space to while away sun-soaked afternoons in the French countryside, with nothing but the sound of the chirping birds to interrupt your rest and relaxation. 

Inside the cottage, appealing artwork adorns the walls and a ruby-red colour palette runs throughout the open-plan kitchen, living and dining space to make for warm and welcoming interiors that will quickly have you feeling right at home. There's a different look in the bedroom with muted grey tones and palm-themed wallpaper to lull you into your restful slumbers with ease, ready for a day of exploring in the morning. 

Location-wise, you've struck gold. While the quaint commune of Carpentras, with its mini-markets, cosy bakeries, cafés, shops and restaurants, is right on your doorstep, you can also reach a number of interesting cities and tourist attractions within minutes. You're a thirty-two-minute drive from Avignon, forty minutes from Gordes, and only twenty-five minutes by car from the Grotte de Thouzon caves, just to name a few.

It's a great space for a group of friends, exuding a youthful vibrancy that'll brighten up your days no end. We love its industrial-chic design, with cheerful touches of colour, stark against the bright white interior, and artwork that makes you want to get out and explore the great outdoors.

The kitchen island is the heart of the home here. It's where you'll be doing most of your eating, drinking, and chatting. Mornings are particularly lovely in this bright space, with sunlight travelling all the way up to the tall ceilings – you'll love gathering around the island, sipping fresh coffee, eating breakfast, and finalising the day's plans.

And located in the quiet town of Pougnadoresse, you’ll find this home welcoming you to relax and savour the elements that make this location so special.  

Stepping inside, the light-filled living room opens up onto a wonderful terrace and garden – drawing you outside to bask in the natural beauty of your surroundings. From here, days can be spent lounging the pool, gathering for golden-hour drinks and barbecue meals that linger long into the evening – the welcome addition of a pétanque court also promises to bring a wonderful sense of fun to intimate gatherings. From the alfresco spots and loungers scattered around the garden to the huge swimming pool that's perfect for  a morning swim, Garden Escape does its name justice. When you're ready to venture a little farther, the charming town of St-Remy where Van Gogh painted the famous 'Starry Night' is only a short walk away, but since you'll be staying in the heart of Provence, every road will take you to a beautiful market town.
