Situated in the charming village of Chantemerle, this apartment is just a three-minute walk from the gondola linking you to Serre Chevalier’s spectacular 250 kilometres of piste. There’s also a footpath, for all building residents, which leads to River Guisane – perfect for a stroll. In fact, the large living room overlooks a larch forest and the river beyond. We love the vistas of the piste from the southwest-facing balcony. If you need to work from home, there’s a workspace here too.

In addition to your own stylish apartment, you’ll have access to an indoor swimming pool, sauna and hammam. Children will love playing in the ball pit, while teens will likely set up camp around the foosball table – there’s something for everyone here. 

Of course, you’re here for the slopes, and you couldn’t be closer. The ski lifts are just a few metres away from the apartment, and you have access to a ski room with boot warmers. 

When you’re not skiing or soothing your aching muscles in the sauna, you’ll be glad to have such a comfortable apartment to call home. Curl up on the sofa with a mug of cocoa while you warm up and decide on dinner. We're not sure if BBC sent you here, but if you want a closer look at Mulberry House's kitchen, look no further than Rick Stein’s 'Secret France' featuring the smiley host making a delicious meal here — and were absolutely expect your to try to recreate it! This is a typical French hilltop chateau, but this doesn't mean it's ordinary. The casually welcoming atmosphere is a product of modern furniture and restored period features, the kitchen being the best example of this harmony. Still, we expect you to spend much more time around this home than in it. With the huge pool that's perfect for a morning splash and the futuristic loungers around it, a gorgeous dining spot under the pergola, and a breezy back garden, there are plenty of spots to socialise or reflect in peace. The host team that looks after this home is always available to help and organise those extra touches that will make your stay even more special. Think transport to football matches in Marseilles, babysitters, maid service, and more.

Mulberry House

Boasting breath-taking views of the snow-capped Alps, this cosy, chalet-style apartment is what mountain escapes are all about. This renovated farmhouse caught our eye for its huge garden. Boasting a private pool, covered alfresco dining area, and outdoor hob and barbeque, outdoor living is easy here. The bedroom set up won’t suit everyone – at full occupancy three guests will be sleeping on sofa beds within two of the bedrooms – and the traditional decor won’t be to everyone’s tastes, but we think this home will suit a family or group of friends looking for a place with character. Location-wise, you’re a few minutes’ drive from the Royal Castle of Racconigi – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for daytrips, the city of Turin is thirty minutes away.
