This beautiful villa is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a holiday in Provence. It’s at the foot of Luberon in the countryside of Cucuron, perched on a hill. From its elevated position surrounded by vineyards and olive trees, you can admire far-reaching views. We love the heated swimming pool outside, and the bright and open style of the villa. Huge windows, plenty of seating, and a piano make the living room ideal for socialising. There are varied sleeping arrangements so the villa can easily accommodate large groups, with a quadruple family room that’s ideal for parents of little ones.

Surrounded by trees and aromatic lavender with views across Ménerbes, it’s the perfect opportunity for a restorative getaway. The swimming pool can be heated (upon request), there are multiple chill-out areas and the rooms are basic yet cosy. It’s also the ideal base from which to explore the surrounding countryside. The nearest amenities are just a short drive away in Ménerbes, while some of the most beautiful villages of the Luberon are also within easy reach.

The interior isn’t quite as striking with some rooms feeling a little dated. But the space has, nonetheless, retained plenty of traditional charm with its exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings, making it a nice backdrop for cosy evenings in. And location-wise, you’re just a short drive from some of Provence’s most beautiful villages, so you won’t have to venture far to get a taste of local culture – and viticulture.

Surrounded by the energy of mountains, this refurbished 17th-century farmhouse is the perfect place to lose yourself in the Luberon. Spend relaxing days here strolling the lush grounds around you – The gardens are partially made up of vineyards and olive groves. Or, take a few laps of the sparkling private pool surrounded by manicured lawn. On scorching summer afternoons, recline on the hammock with blue skies above, and have a light lunch at the stone dining table in the courtyard under the twisting grapevines. Indoors, you’ll find modern art adorning the walls, unique pieces of furniture and canary yellow walls that add a burst of colour. There’s a distinctly medieval feel from the thick stone walls keeping everything cool, to the wrought iron dining chairs and arched alcoves. Here you can prepare food without having head indoors, eat at the shaded table and even enjoy a post-lunch game of pool. While the modern decor inside the villa won’t be to everyone’s taste, we love the clean lines and eye-catching artwork. Location wise, you’re in a quiet spot in the countryside but it’s only a short stroll to the nearest village – pretty Ménerbes with its atmospheric narrow streets, medieval houses and charming cafes.

Oh là là – this home is the perfect choice for those wanting to experience the fairy-tale-like charm of Provence. It’s surrounded by vineyards and boasts lovely views of the pretty village of Ménerbes. Outside, you’ll find a picturesque courtyard, a heated swimming pool, and pétanque and badminton courts. Inside, we love the library and piano, and the modern kitchen – this home is ideal for keen chefs, as there’s also a summer kitchen under the awning. You’ll need a car here, but the upside of the out-of-the-way setting is the peace and quiet.

This 19th-century Provençal villa is the perfect spot for a large family holiday. The French-style landscaped garden is a gem, where you can breakfast surrounded by fruit trees and blooming flowers. The interiors forego country villa for a more contemporary feel – check out the impressive chandelier – but the low-ceilinged attic rooms may not be ideal for taller guests. There's plenty of space to spread out in the rest of the home, including two living rooms, outdoor seating, and a large pool. Little ones will probably spend most of their time in the playground, while adults should take advantage of this home's proximity to Luberon's famous vineyards.

This beautiful village house is the perfect place to enjoy a holiday in the Luberon region of Provence. The property is located on a hillside on the edge of Gordes, one of France's classified 'Plus Beaux Villages'. The Provençal valley views from the terraced grounds are incredible.

The house has been decorated with refined style and there's an authentic ambience across its elegant lounge, dining room and perfectly equipped kitchen with doors sliding open to the al-fresco dining terrace. Modern additions include air-conditioning throughout, a Sonos music system and Smart TVs in its mezzanine lounge and two of the three bedrooms.

Sleeping up to six guests, the bedrooms are gorgeous, one with a king-size double bed, wood-beamed ceiling and romantic rolltop bath, another with a queen-size double, sofa and en suite shower room and the third en suite with twin beds and lovely views through its little windows. 

Outside, the vistas of Provence will take your breath away whether you are enjoying a glass of Luberon AOC wine on the upper terrace or peacefully reading on the outdoor sofa beneath the poolside pergola. The swimming pool is superb for warm summer days when you don't wish to venture too far. We love the rustic charm of the terraced grounds with old stone steps, pretty pathways and swathes of summer colour.

Behind the ancient stone walls, you'll find a tasteful mixture of period features, like the fireplace, window shutters and ceiling beams, and more modern additions — case in point, the elegant bathtubs and contemporary kitchen. One of our favourite spaces is the cellar that has been converted into an apéro bar complete with a foosball table.

When the weather's warm and bright — not too rare an occurrence in this part of the world — there are plenty of ways to make the most of this. In the garden, you'll find a swimming pool and plenty of loungers that look out over the French countryside, but there are equally wonderful views from the two stone terraces.

The surrounding region of Luberon is both beautiful and peaceful, something that's easy to discover for yourselves with the amount of hiking and cycling routes that start from the grounds. The village of Saignon is a five-minute drive away too and offers a boulangerie, art gallery and a twelfth-century church.

Smell the lavender and feel the sun on your skin as you wander around the quintessentially Mediterranean gardens with a view overlooking the valley of the Luberon park and the Mourre Nègre. Down the cobbled stone steps, you'll find a hidden terrace that features a heated infinity swimming pool, lounge terrace and breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape. 

Inside, the traditional country style 17th-century maison features seven large bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom making it an ideal spot for large families or groups of friends.
