Inside, expect a melange of period features and modern elegance – although not the largest home in our collection, you’d be hard-pressed to find one with more charm.

With easy country walks available from your front door and short driving distance to the nearby market towns, and an abundance of old French charm, a break here is like stepping into a carefully curated Pinterest board on the beauty of Provence. 

Smell the lavender and feel the sun on your skin as you wander around the quintessentially Mediterranean gardens with a view overlooking the valley of the Luberon park and the Mourre Nègre. Down the cobbled stone steps, you'll find a hidden terrace that features a heated infinity swimming pool, lounge terrace and breathtaking vistas of the surrounding landscape. 

Inside, the traditional country style 17th-century maison features seven large bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom making it an ideal spot for large families or groups of friends. The open living areas present plenty of space to enjoy as a group – as you'll find two kitchens, a piano, a ping pong table, petanque and board games. 

For those travelling with children, the house also has a dormitory-style bedroom which allows up to eight children to spend unforgettable moments together in one large suite with its own bathroom and double shower.

Although the home is in the middle of the countryside and completely tranquil, all supermarkets and shops are located within just fifteen minutes from the town of Apt, where you'll find several spots to pick up the shopping (including Intermarché, Leclerc, Auchan and LIDL) as well as local stores offering regional fare at the independent butcher's, fruit and vegetables store and bakery.

Locally, we recommend a trip to the village of Roussillon, and while there, make sure you visit the Sentier des Ocres – it’s a walker’s paradise.

Sitting in the middle of a thirteen-hectare plot, this lovingly restored farmhouse is the ideal option for living the full Provençal fantasy.

Behind the ancient stone walls, you'll find a tasteful mixture of period features, like the fireplace, window shutters and ceiling beams, and more modern additions — case in point, the elegant bathtubs and contemporary kitchen. One of our favourite spaces is the cellar that has been converted into an apéro bar complete with a foosball table.

When the weather's warm and bright — not too rare an occurrence in this part of the world — there are plenty of ways to make the most of this. In the garden, you'll find a swimming pool and plenty of loungers that look out over the French countryside, but there are equally wonderful views from the two stone terraces.

The surrounding region of Luberon is both beautiful and peaceful, something that's easy to discover for yourselves with the amount of hiking and cycling routes that start from the grounds. The village of Saignon is a five-minute drive away too and offers a boulangerie, art gallery and a twelfth-century church.

Outdoor living is made easy at this contemporary villa, thanks to the open-fronted summer kitchen, overlooking the pool. Here you can prepare food without having head indoors, eat at the shaded table and even enjoy a post-lunch game of pool. While the modern decor inside the villa won’t be to everyone’s taste, we love the clean lines and eye-catching artwork. Location wise, you’re in a quiet spot in the countryside but it’s only a short stroll to the nearest village – pretty Ménerbes with its atmospheric narrow streets, medieval houses and charming cafes.

La Fée Delight

Set in the idyllic Luberon hills of the Provence region, this villa is the perfect place to enjoy the unmistakable charm of rural southern France. Spend your days swimming in the private pool, tanning on the loungers, and dining alfresco in the warmth of the setting sun. This beautiful village house is the perfect place to enjoy a holiday in the Luberon region of Provence. The property is located on a hillside on the edge of Gordes, one of France's classified 'Plus Beaux Villages'. The Provençal valley views from the terraced grounds are incredible.

The house has been decorated with refined style and there's an authentic ambience across its elegant lounge, dining room and perfectly equipped kitchen with doors sliding open to the al-fresco dining terrace. Modern additions include air-conditioning throughout, a Sonos music system and Smart TVs in its mezzanine lounge and two of the three bedrooms.

Sleeping up to six guests, the bedrooms are gorgeous, one with a king-size double bed, wood-beamed ceiling and romantic rolltop bath, another with a queen-size double, sofa and en suite shower room and the third en suite with twin beds and lovely views through its little windows. 

Outside, the vistas of Provence will take your breath away whether you are enjoying a glass of Luberon AOC wine on the upper terrace or peacefully reading on the outdoor sofa beneath the poolside pergola. The swimming pool is superb for warm summer days when you don't wish to venture too far. We love the rustic charm of the terraced grounds with old stone steps, pretty pathways and swathes of summer colour.

Inside, we love the library and piano, and the modern kitchen – this home is ideal for keen chefs, as there’s also a summer kitchen under the awning. You’ll need a car here, but the upside of the out-of-the-way setting is the peace and quiet.

You'll find this gorgeous family-size cottage, surrounded by unspoilt countryside, at the foot of the typical Provençal village of Ventabren, is just about as sweet as it gets. Slip into your private pool for a morning swim beneath the cypress trees, before preparing a French breakfast out on the furnished terrace. Under a pergola of vines, with a view of the fountain, we can think of nothing better than drinks and dinner alfresco out here with friends and family. 

Inside, it’s warm and welcoming, with pastel pink tones and rustic terracotta tiles. The chic, art-deco-inspired living room and dining area tempts cosy evenings spent snuggled up besides the crackling fire playing light-hearted games and drinking wine. 

But when it's time to head out, take a fifteen-minute drive to the beautiful city of Aix-en-Provence, boasting stone streets and cobbled squares overlooked by the Sainte-Victoire mountain. Locally, there's a hub of activity all within walking distance with a historic centre and breathtaking views of the Berre pond. You can also reach Marseille and it's sandy beaches in just thirty minutes by car.

This beautiful medieval chateau, built between the fourteenth and sixteenth century, is steeped in history. Coupled with its location, a stone's throw from medieval village Oppede le Vieux, you'll be transported to another time and place. The medieval stone fireplace, rambling multi-storied outdoor terrace space (complete with pool), terracotta tiled floors and antique furniture enrich the home with authentic charm and a feeling of majesty. The top floor bedroom is particularly spectacular, with 360 degree panoramic views of the surrounding Provençal countryside and balcony access. Be sure to check out nearby Cavaillon's weekly market, famed for its phenomenal melons.

Inside, French charm meets contemporary design – expect wood beams, stone hearths, and comfortable rooms, though only the bedrooms have air conditioning. Factor in the friendly on-site housekeeper and four-time-a-week cleaning, and we're sold.

Though it’s traditional on the outside, there’s a modern feel inside, with a glass wall by the dining table overlooking the gardens.
