Stone-built and practically glowing in the southern France sunshine, this home is ideal for cyclists and hikers. It’s a fifteen-minute ride to the medieval village of Gordes and for a real challenge, you can head on to the slopes of Mount Ventoux. Hikers can hit the trails of Les Gorges de Véroncle, a short walk away. The walled garden is home to a summer kitchen for lazy lunches outside and the swimming pool awaits after a day’s exertion. Sleek and monochrome, the open living area and kitchen belies the traditional exterior. The ground-floor bedroom opens up to the poolside terrace and both upstairs rooms have sweeping countryside views.  

The Marche

This beautiful countryside retreat is surrounded by vineyards and orchards, for the ultimate escape into nature. Inside, you’ll find warm, characterful interiors, elegant bedrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen made for group meals. The house flows effortlessly onto sun-drenched terraces and a vast private garden with its own saltwater pool and BBQ area. There’s even a children’s playroom and an independent studio, both with step-free access from the garden. Though the home is set over three levels, it’s wonderfully easy-going for family stays. You’ll need a car, but with this much space, privacy, and scenery, that’s hardly a drawback.

Luberon Vines

Outdoor living is made easy at this contemporary villa, thanks to the open-fronted summer kitchen, overlooking the pool. Here you can prepare food without having head indoors, eat at the shaded table and even enjoy a post-lunch game of pool. While the modern decor inside the villa won’t be to everyone’s taste, we love the clean lines and eye-catching artwork. Location wise, you’re in a quiet spot in the countryside but it’s only a short stroll to the nearest village – pretty Ménerbes with its atmospheric narrow streets, medieval houses and charming cafes.

La Fée Delight

Tucked down a quiet country lane just a short walk from the hilltop village of Gordes, this beautifully refurbished stone house is full of Provençal charm. Behind its classic blue shutters, you’ll find elegant, homely interiors with four stylish en-suite bedrooms and an open-plan living space made for slow mornings and sociable evenings. Outside, the landscaped garden is a dream – with a heated pool, sweeping views of the Luberon hills, and lush lavender bushes, roses and olive trees. Wander into the village for the weekly market, galleries and restaurants, or explore the region’s vineyards, historic sites and scenic walking trails. This is Provence at its most idyllic.

The Luberon Lavender

This beautiful medieval chateau, built between the fourteenth and sixteenth century, is steeped in history. Coupled with its location, a stone's throw from medieval village Oppede le Vieux, you'll be transported to another time and place. The medieval stone fireplace, rambling multi-storied outdoor terrace space (complete with pool), terracotta tiled floors and antique furniture enrich the home with authentic charm and a feeling of majesty. The top floor bedroom is particularly spectacular, with 360 degree panoramic views of the surrounding Provençal countryside and balcony access. Be sure to check out nearby Cavaillon's weekly market, famed for its phenomenal melons.

La Maison en Pierre

Set in Provence, this home offers a tranquil retreat for families or friends. That’s not to say there aren’t any entertainment facilities, because there are plenty.  Enjoy the Provençal sunshine in the beautiful outdoor space, where you can swim in the private pool, play table tennis, or have a game of pétanque under the shade of the tree. We love the views of the surrounding vineyards from the garden, too. Inside, there’s lots of room to relax in the large, open-plan living space. Located a two-minute drive from the riverside town of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, you’ll be able to explore its antique shops and market.

In Provence

Tucked in the golden triangle of the Luberon, this Provencal farmhouse is all about peace, charm and postcard views. You’re just minutes from Roussillon, Gordes and Bonnieux, yet surrounded by nature and quiet. Inside, original wooden beams and warm tones give the home timeless appeal. The children’s dormitory is an especially playful touch, although despite its eight single beds, we recommend a maximum of ten guests here. When you’re ready to see the sights, head out to the quaint village of Bonnieux, a mere five minutes away by car.
