Upon arrival, wander along the pathway through the gardens until you reach the private gated area. From here you'll have your own secluded slice of nature to enjoy in peaceful serenity. 

Listen to the trickling stream with a cup of coffee in hand, or surround yourself with views of verdant greens and ocean blues on the elevated viewing platform. The south-facing terrace area is a lovely little sun trap and makes for an idyllic reading or sunbathing spot for ever-craved lazy days soaking up some vitamin D. The annexe offers a small gravel courtyard at the back of the home which is ideal for sun-soaked mornings enjoying a leisurely breakfast alfresco, or an afternoon tea with fresh Cornish cream, jam and scones. 

Wander Carbis Bay’s crescent of white sands and turquoise waters or go on a water adventure and grab a paddleboard or kayak from the beach-based surf school. For beautiful walks, we can highly recommend the coast path from here to St Ives, which showcases spectacular views over the bay, and the 1.9km walk has a gentle ascent meaning the whole family can enjoy the scenery and bracing sea air. Or, if that sounds like too much for you, the single-track railway of the St Erth line follows that same path along the coast offering passengers an incredible vantage point to see all of St Ives Bay and beyond.  

After a busy day, the home’s open-plan living space will provide you with a comfortable sofa to unwind from your beach days, while the dining area beckons you to share meals and discuss your plans for the following day over a delicious dinner.

This elevated cottage offers breathtaking views of Carbis Bay, Godrevy lighthouse, and the North Cornwall coastline that will leave you speechless for days. Take the twenty-nine-minute walk to St Ives Farmers Market, which is held at The Guildhall every Thursday until 2 p.m. throughout the year. If you appreciate art, visit the Barbara Hepworth Museum in St Ives before wandering through the cobbled streets of a traditional seaside town to reach the lighthouse.

As you sip your morning coffee you can watch the town come to life below, and you’re ideally situated for coffee runs and trips to the nearby cafes, restaurants and shops.

As it’s a seaside town, you’ll likely spend much of your visit at the beach. Happily, you need only walk eight minutes to reach Porthminster Beach. Will you bring your bucket and spade and build sandcastles? Or do you prefer paddling in the shallows and skimming stones? 

You’ll instantly warm to the attractive apartment, which is spread over two floors so feels wonderfully spacious – you won’t be tripping up over each other’s belongings here. After a long day on the sand, you’ll be glad to soak in the bathtub with a glass of wine while dinner is sizzling in the modern kitchen. There are stylish touches throughout, making this a lovely space to call home. You'll never want to leave.

With glorious views of St Ives, as pretty as the coastal paintings this artistic town is known for – you won't want to leave this amazing Edwardian townhouse. Situated in a private terrace, with no passing traffic, take in the turquoise ocean vistas from the beautiful, sunny terrace, surrounded by pink hydrangeas, with a glass of Cornish fizz. Or head inside, where you'll be greeted with large bay windows – admire the town, harbour and the sparkling sea from here. Our favourite spot has to be the plush velvet window seat in the bedroom. With two living areas and several outdoor spaces, this home is perfect for a family or group of friends looking to spread out. To top it all, there's parking for up to two cars, which is a rare bonus in St. Ives.

The vibrant town centre is a five-minute walk, where you'll find plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. It's the same walking distance to Porthminster Beach, one of St Ives's six beaches – the others are Porthgwidden, Harbour, Porthmeor, Lambeth Walk and Bamaluz – so you're spoilt for choice. For art lovers, the Barbara Hepworth Museum is a seven-minute saunter, while the Tate St Ives is eleven minutes on foot.

On warm afternoons, take the five-minute walk into the heart of St Ives for a fantastic selection of independent shops, cafes, ice cream parlours and restaurants. Admire modern British art in the Tate Gallery, ten minutes away, before enjoying a portion of fish and chips by the harbour. When the day draws to a close, head back home to watch the sky turn violet above the turquoise sea.

From its stunning coastline beaches to art galleries and critically esteemed restaurants, St Ives is one of Cornwall's most famous and utterly beautiful villages – and this home offers a well-appointed tiered garden to take it all in from. Just a five-minute walk to the centre of town and a seven-minute stroll from Carbis Bay, the house is perfectly placed for exploring the delights of this sought-after seaside postcode. Back home, the outside space is the real star of the show with a comfortably furnished summerhouse filled with tasteful artwork and nautical adornments. We can think of nothing better than watching the sunset over Godrevy and beyond from here. In warmer months, take to the flower-bedded terrace for alfresco dining and ocean views or find a quiet enclosed patio for a relaxing read in the sun. Stepping inside, you'll find a well-presented interior with light wooden flooring, ornamental fireplaces and exposed brickwork. We also found there to be an industrial-chic styling around the home – from the cooper framed bed in the master bedroom to the low-hanging lampshades over the dining table. There is of course a freestanding bathtub for relaxing soaks after wandering the Cornish coast as well as an abundance of light and airy living space to sprawl out and unwind. There's a traditional country-house kitchen with all the basic appliances for cooking hearty meals, although we'd be tempted to wander into town for a spot of locally sourced and adored fish and chips.

Located far down the Cornish peninsula, this charming house in St. Ives combines comfort, views, a fantastic location and period features. 

You’ll enjoy nestling up in the living space as the night darkens, and catching some sun out in the furnished courtyard. Located on a quiet street just a few minutes from Porthmeor beach (observable from the front-facing windows) and St Ives’ town centre, this home is perfect for those seeking a respite from city life. 

Head down to the beach and dip your feet into the Celtic Sea, or take a walk out to the Island (don’t worry, it’s a peninsula). Grab an ice cream or some fish and chips and take a walk along one of Britain’s most beautiful beaches, with the gulls gliding jealously overhead and the waves lapping rhythmically against the sand.

Children and parents alike will enjoy the walled garden and homely interior, tastefully furnished to create a down-to-earth yet premium ambience.

The village setting is quintessentially Cornish, with the beach just five minutes down the road and lovely local pubs and cafes within easy reach (your closest is right around the corner). For travels further afield, guests can explore English heritage sites and well-preserved National Trust houses and gardens – we'd recommend bringing a car to easily tick the off the list. The local coastline provides excellent surf and beautiful hiking trails, adored by local lovers of the outdoors.

Recently renovated to the highest of standards in 2021, this architectural masterpiece is a picture of solid slatted wood, glass and white stone. The home is set within a sought-after postcode, only ten minutes (on foot) from the stunning Carbis Bay Beach – it's well worth a visit here – we couldn't believe we were still in the UK with its glorious stretch of sand and turquoise waters. Back inside, the living space is as light and airy as possible with high-vaulted ceilings, crittall windows and an abundance of skylights overhead. We adored the sleek three-oven island kitchen, benefitting from navy blue cabinets, chic chandeliers, dramatic spotlighting and a sociable breakfast bar to sit down and enjoy your morning avos on toast. You'll notice the crushed velvet dining chairs and sofa that only adds further to this home's impressive level of luxury and comfort. On top of all of that, there's the ease of having four bedrooms accompanied by four swanky en-suite bathrooms and a delightful garden  – complete with comfy outdoor seating for all eight guests, a paved veranda dining area and a cool-chill out spot to drink your alfresco wine. Inside and out, this spot presents Cornwall in spectacular fashion.

Even though this home is only five minutes' walk from the golden sands of Cardis Bay, there's a heated swimming pool so you can take a dip without having to leave the address. Running alongside, there are loungers for catching some rays as well as a small outhouse with room for storing surfboards and beach equipment, plus a shower for washing off sand and sea salt from your skin. When the sun begins its final descent, head over to the verandah — a recent extension to the 1930s house — where a large alfresco table, barbecue and outdoor heating will see you through long summer evenings. You might have noticed that we're full of lovely words and we've not even touched upon what's inside the home yet. Rest assured, it's just as impressive as what lies outside. The original large rooms and bay windows add a sense of airy brightness, but a recent renovation has brought a contemporary interior with an especially modern kitchen. As well as the nearby seaside, the South West Coast Path lies four minutes on foot from the front door and Tate St Ives is eleven minutes away in the car.

Just a five-minute walk from the centre of the village, this pretty cottage feels every bit the wonderfully rural Cornish retreat. As part of a set of converted farm buildings, this place has changed a lot since it was used to store seed potatoes back in the day. 

A glossy modern kitchen, plump sofas, a velvet beanbag, and a rainfall shower are just some of the features that bring comfort and style to this rustic abode. We love the log burner in the lounge, the heart of the living space, where you can round up the family after a day out exploring the area. But for the ultimate in modern-day luxury, we suggest you take a long soak in the home's new hot tub, out in the lovely garden. 

You'll be just minutes away from both the north and south Cornish coast by car, with Penzance, Marazion and the impressive St Michael's Mount all nearby.

This apartment is a prime example of when location, design and the space itself dovetail into something really rather remarkable. Behind the front door, the wooden floor, neutral walls and large windows create a bright and inviting interior, with a touch of class added from the building's grand features, such as the arched doorways and high ceilings. The kitchen is both large and modern enough for long dinner parties, while there's also a small games room to keep little ones out of the way for a while. Outside, guests get access to a private courtyard, which has a barbecue for those warm evenings. If the weather's agreeable while you're here, there's no shortage of activities to undertake nearby. Porthkidney Beach is the closest stretch of the seaside — only a quarter of an hour's walk — but there are lots more options within easy driving distance. Tate St Ives only takes fifteen minutes to reach in the car as well.

The tiny hamlet of Crowlas is home to this rustic stone cottage, located less than a five-minute walk from the village centre. Stepping foot inside this former hay barn, the interiors might surprise you. While the furnishings and the kitchen are wonderfully modern, the wooden stairs and the wood burning stove are gorgeous, rustic features which make the space feel warm and homely. After a windswept day at the beach, coming home will feel like bliss when you can curl up by the fire with a cup of tea. And the flames continue outside. With a fire pit and a barbecue, the kids can roast marshmallows while someone else handles the burgers on the grill. This garden is a stunning spot where you can let the little ones run around – and you can lie back in the sun loungers to enjoy the serenity of the countryside. For a day out of your sanctuary, hop in the car and head through the village to pick up picnic supplies. As the crow flies, you’re under two miles from the rugged coasts of Cornwall. However, we recommend checking out the fishing village of Padstow, about an hour away. Or St Ives is only a fifteen-minute drive from home, where you can visit high-end restaurants and visit the Tate Gallery.

Hidden behind the dunes of Upton Towans Nature Reserve, this luxury eco-home is just moments from the beach. Make your way barefoot down the sandy path flanked by rolling dunes and wild grass to Gwithian Beach's three miles of soft, golden sand. If you're here with the family, you'll be within easy driving distance of two blue flag beaches, meaning they're particularly clean with plenty of amenities for a guaranteed wonderful day out. If you're heading over to Porthmeor Beach, the most famous , you'll want to take in some of the famous art scene at the Tate St Ives right beside it. Hikers and those who love to indulge in some nature walking will be in for a treat, with no shortage of coastal paths to discover during your trip. Not only do you have the ocean stretching out as far as the eye can see, but the beautiful bay of Praa Sands also curves down below, and the patchwork fields of south Cornwall lie in the distance.
