In summer, light pours through the large windows and the log burner and underfloor heating keeps you cosy in the colder months. A crisp, white background lets the seaside watercolours on the wall speak for themselves and the big kitchen is more than spacious enough for the buzz of family breakfast time. On sunny days, head out to the wooden deck looking out to sea (with an outdoor heater available), or tuck yourself away on the dining terrace for an alfresco seafood feast from the local fishmonger.

The home faces a quiet lane leading to the centre of the bustling and charming town of St. Ives, where you'll find excellent seafood restaurants, cafés, indie galleries and soft-sanded beaches. Positioned just above Praa Sands on Cornwall's south coastline, this home can't be accused of not making the most of this sensational location. The South West Coast runs by the address and continues in either direction for plenty more stunning landscape, while Penzance only takes seventeen minutes to reach in the car if you want a day of galleries and restaurants.

And, with the potential for mooring and a slipway available, bring along your boat, canoe or paddleboard, and get out on the water with ease. What’s more, you’re just a quarter of a mile away from Lizard Village where you’ll find shops, restaurants and a charming pub.


A Lighthouse Tale

This beautiful home is part of a fully working lighthouse, established in 1619 and has an enclosed courtyard garden with a picnic table and benches for alfresco lunches. We should mention that during periods of fog and mist, an automatic, electric fog signal sounds, but don't worry, ear plugs are provided. If that doesn’t faze you then, this magical setting within the Lizard Peninsular won’t disappoint. Cliff tops walks are on your doorstep and attractions such as Lands End and the beguiling Kynance Cove are nearby. The village of Lizard has shops, restaurants and a friendly pub only ¼ mile away too.

Sitting in Goldsithney's coastal village, this charming cottage is only a few minutes down the road from Perranuthnoe Beach. Half a mile away from your front door lies the ancient market town of Marazion, where you can easily access St Michael's Mount at low tide. This southerly spot on the British map has been hailed for its rich history and turquoise waters, attracting tourists from far and wide.

Walk past the wrought-iron gate and hang up your coats in the porch, then you'll see how the interior design continues to honour the heritage of this home. We’re not one for hyperbole, but the views from the terrace of this home really are spectacular. Not only do you have the ocean stretching out as far as the eye can see, but the beautiful bay of Praa Sands also curves down below, and the patchwork fields of south Cornwall lie in the distance. Admire the view from the perfectly placed hot tub, drink a morning coffee on the glass-fronted balcony, or cook a meal on the barbecue to enjoy overlooking the water. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room means that you can take in the scene even on cold days – when you may want to fire up the woodburner for a cosy evening in. Aside from walking, surfing and sunbathing on Praa Sands, you’ll also want to explore the nearby village and go hiking along the South West Coast Path, which is easy to reach from this home.

Cornish Breeze

Hidden behind the dunes of Upton Towans Nature Reserve, this luxury eco-home is just moments from the beach. Make your way barefoot down the sandy path flanked by rolling dunes and wild grass to Gwithian Beach's three miles of soft, golden sand. Prepare breakfast in the decked-out kitchen to enjoy out on the patio before exploring the surrounding town of Marazion, a historic coastal town with an artisan feel and a causeway to the gorgeous St Michael’s Mount. Take a tranquil evening walk along Praa Sands Beach or watch a show at the stunning Minnack Theatre – an open-air theatre jutting out onto the Atlantic sea.
