Just a short walk from the sands and a ten-minute walk from Newquay town centre, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to things to see and do around you, not to mention the ample entertainment options on hand in your dazzlingly modern carbon zero pad. 
 
Stepping into the open-plan living area, you’ll immediately be wowed by the amount of natural light pouring in through the large glass doors that lead out onto a private patio. Decked out with a picnic table, deck chairs and a grill, this is the perfect spot to catch some rays or gather for a celebratory barbecue feast. 
 
Spend evenings enjoying snacks and drinks around the kitchen island or unleash your competitive side at the pool table that cleverly converts into a dining table. For further fun, you’ve got plenty of board games to dive into as well as a karaoke machine to end any day on a high note. 
 
With three stylish beds, desk spaces and bathrooms boasting rainfall showers, you’re all set for a relaxing time. And when you’re ready to venture out for some sea and sand, you need only walk nine minutes to catch the surf at Newquay Beach, while Tolcarne Beach is a mere seven-minute stroll away. 


Tolcarne Sands

Just over a mile from the village of Stithians, down by the River Kennall, this stone cottage is set in the 7-acre land surrounding an old farmhouse. But despite its incredibly rural setting, staying here is far from the rustic experience you might expect. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. Upon arrival, your host will warmly welcome you with a hamper full of luxury Cornish fare and home-baked goods to start your holiday right. While you nibble and sip, you can start exploring the cosy home. Fluffy rugs, plush sofas, and wooden floors create a sense of warmth and softness in the living space, but floor-to-ceiling windows bring the outside in. And the great outdoors are particularly great in this case. Under the wooden decking, get ready to pop champagne and soak in the hot tub. Or perhaps you’d rather recline on the outdoor sofas by the wood-burner, have a barbecue, or play a few rounds of table tennis? As you’re just a fifteen-minute drive to Gyllyngvase Beach in Falmouth, you’ll also need to pack a picnic one day and head for the shore (don’t forget to grab the beach towels that your host kindly provides). 

Champagne Bubbles

Bright, modern and exceptionally styled, this enviably positioned home overlooks the sandy Gannel Estuary. Inside, an L-shaped sofa and comfy armchair are perfectly angled in front of a wall of west-facing panoramic windows. Spend evenings here reflecting on the day’s events with a glass of fizz in hand as the sun sets over the landscape. The kitchen is fully-equipped with Miele appliances, so don your chef’s hat and rustle up something tasty for your brood. If the weather’s on your side, take your plates out to the garden and dine in the glorious sunshine. 

When you’re ready to explore, Fistral Beach is only a five-minute drive away – or forty-minute walk if you fancy stretching your legs. Watch the waves roll in from Huer's Hut then try your hand at surfing on Newquay Beach. As the evening draws in, sit down to a slap-up fish supper in a revered restaurant before heading back to your pad for a gin and tonic on the main bedroom’s private balcony. 

Sun Meets Tide

Arranged over three floors, this maisonette just five minutes walk from Newquay town centre has a pared-back, modern style, with a muted grey and white colour palette making the interior feel as bright and breezy as its coastal setting. Fully modernised but retaining some of its period features, it's got plenty of space for a large family and comes with a real treat in the form of a decked balcony to the rear.

Set over three floors, you'll have an elegant living room with a feature wall of exposed stone, a huge kitchen-diner and bedrooms over the top two floors. The master has a fabulous bay window and its stylish en-suite is open to the room to make the most of its light, while the main bathroom features a freestanding bathtub to soak in after a day on the nearby beach. The sea is less than a mile away and there are both surf schools and board hire shops if you fancy hitting the waves. Less sporty guests will appreciate the array of restaurants in the town centre, and of course, there's nowhere better for evening drinks than on your own balcony. 

Jam & Clotted Cream

Care-free beach living is what makes this home ideal for a family or group of friends looking for adventures by the sea. With plenty of space for everyone, bright interiors, and an unfussy attitude, this home guarantees plenty of good times. 

The simple yet stylish design makes this the perfect sanctuary where you can press pause on everyday life and make some memories with your guests. Wake up to the sound of the sea each morning and admire the peaceful views over the bay alongside your morning coffee. The private balcony is the ideal spot to read a good book as you breathe in the fresh air, and there's even a barbeque ready for alfresco feasts – or, head inside to the kitchen to cook up a traditional Sunday roast. 

Surfers can visit north Cornwall’s most sought-after beaches – Newquay's Fistral Bay is only a fifteen-minute walk away, and there are countless other coves within driving distance. If you’re not looking to hit the waves, don your walking boots and take the South West Coast Path for spectacular views along the coast. And, those who prefer a slower pace can savour freshly caught fish in the local restaurants and treat themselves in the artisanal boutiques nearby. 

Cornish Surf

Looking for a contemporary Cornwall retreat with a view? Then this high-tech showstopper of a home, perched just moments from sandy Mawgan Porth beach in an exclusive development fringing Newquay, should suit you to a tee.

Sunny mornings call for lazy coffees on that south-facing balcony leading off from the open concept living space to catch a glimpse of the sea. Meanwhile, little ones and furry friends can run off some energy on the lawns below, all under your watchful gaze. 

When the sea finally lures you in, spend your days exploring the awesome coastal path that leads to Newquay, Padstow and beyond (it goes right past here) or learning to surf down at the beach – it’s just 150 metres from your door. And you can easily wash down sandy surfing paraphernalia and paws with that hot après-surf shower when you head home.

Then all that’s left to do is fire up the barbecue (make sure to pick up some locally caught seafood) and spill out onto the alfresco sofa area with sundowners – the views of the surrounding valleys are magnificent. Then keep the night flowing around the firepit or head back indoors to hunker down for a cosy film night – there’s a swish cinema projector ready to roll.

Beach House Chic

Breezy and bright, this home has quintessential English seaside written all over it. Whether you're here to top up your tan, hike breathtaking coastal paths or surf Fistral's world-class waves, you couldn't be more perfectly positioned to enjoy everything that Newquay has to offer. On arrival, it's hard to look past the view over the beach. So swing open the French doors, breathe in that sea air and listen to the sounds of the sea – the soundtrack to your stay. We loved the relaxed living spaces that made us nostalgic for childhood holidays to the Cornish coast. It's the ideal spot to sit back with your morning coffee as you plan what to do with your day. Of course, the beach offers something completely different depending on the weather. Blow away the cobwebs on a windy walk, brave a bracing dip, or soak up the sun on the sand. As for the surfing? That's a year-round pursuit. There's no such thing as cold water, just the wrong gear. And there are plenty of local surf shops that can kit you out. Away from the beach, the town beckons with an excellent selection of seafood restaurants and cool cafes with some classic Cornish fare too. Who doesn't love a pasty? Families will love the zoo and aquarium, while couples can enjoy the sunset from the comfort of a contemporary home with views to die for.

Swallow's Hide-Out

Situated a ten-minute walk from Fistral Beach and Newquay Golf Club, this comfortable apartment is a fabulous seaside escape for a family or couple of friends who like to spend their time outdoors. Inside, an open-plan living space with a tropically sweet pink and green colour scheme opens up onto a private balcony, where you can sit out with indulgent cream tea and watch fishing boats slip over the horizon. A clever kitchen makes light work of whipping up culinary favourites, but if you’d prefer to eat out, there’s a fine selection of restaurants a fifteen-minute walk from your doorstep. Once you’re fuelled and raring to go, scamper down to the waterfront to carve through crashing waves or relax on golden sands. Head home at the end of a windswept day, tuck away your surfboard in the storage provided and fall back into comfortable beds for a night of sweet dreams. 

Fistral Vista

This Cornwall home might be compact, but it definitely does the job. Not only is it wonderfully bright with all the right furnishings to make it feel cosy, but it also puts you within easy access to Perranporth Beach. 

Stroll to find where golden sand meets the Atlantic and wander the stretching beach until you’ve come across the perfect spot to spend the day. Perranporth is a paradise for watersports enthusiasts, so why not sign up for snorkelling or surfing lessons? Build sandcastles, eat melting ice cream, frolic in the surf or sunbathe whilst listening to the gently lapping waves until you go in search of lunch. 

You’ll find quite a few restaurants in the surrounding – one only a minute away from your front door – but we recommend fish and chips to pay homage to the coastal location. 

Of course, you can always bring your chippy back home to enjoy it in peaceful solitude on the terrace. Stay out after enjoying an ice-cold pint in the sunshine as the children run around on the sloping lawn. 

Razorbill

There's a distinct boho edge to the interior design in this Newquay apartment, what with the hanging macrame, house plants and array of woven furnishings. Mixed with the natural light from the skylights and the stark white walls, it's inescapably relaxing. The neatly tiled bathrooms bring a touch of spa quality and the wooden dining table illuminated by the overhanging light fixture is ideal for gathering the group around for a hearty supper after a day out at the seaside — there's no shortage of beaches in the town, that's for sure. Tolcarne Beach is only two minutes' walk away and the larger Newquay Beach takes ten. An added benefit is that the apartment itself has storage options for surfboards and bicycles, which gives you alternative ways to explore the Cornish coastline.

Rum & Raisin

Located just a six-minute walk from Tolcarne Beach, this luxe home is the perfect escape for sun worshippers and beach enthusiasts. Sleek and modern, it's fit for the whole family and has everything you'll want for a seaside getaway – chic interiors, stylish bathrooms, sumptuous bedrooms and a state-of-the-art kitchen. Chill out at home on the fabulous terrace for alfresco cocktails and evening barbecues. When the sun goes down, gather around the fire pit or hop in the hot tub and soak under the stars. Inside is just as lovely, with bright living spaces and plenty of room to make yourself at home. Keen surfers can bring their boards and hit the waves – there's surfboard storage and an outdoor shower on-site. If you prefer a more relaxed holiday, simply sprawl out on the sandy beaches or enjoy a stroll along the picturesque coastal path. Newquay has pubs, restaurants, cafes and independent shops aplenty – all within walking distance – plus fun-filled activities like aquariums and adventure golf, so even on a rainy day, you'll find something to keep the whole family entertained. 

Sands Of Time

When it comes to dramatic scenery, few parts of the UK can rival Cornwall and you'll find yourself agreeing with this if you stay in this apartment with an uninterrupted view of Newquay Beach and the county's northern coastline. As it's on the ground floor of the building, it means that, out through the living room's glass doors, there's a terrace on which you can sit and admire this sweeping vista.

When you can finally draw your eyes away from what lies outside, you'll find a contemporary home shaped by stark white walls and sleek surfaces. There are a few nautical mementoes that nod to the local area, but you'll be happy to hear that these all fall on the tasteful side of things. Importantly, you can easily get warm here after a day in the great outdoors, thanks to the underfloor heating and the inviting bathtub in the toffee-coloured bathroom

As well as Newquay Beach awaiting just across the road, the South West Coast Path runs directly past the home and you can continue it in either direction to see a little more of the region's celebrated landscape. In local Newquay, there's a good choice of restaurants and bars to keep you refreshed, as well as an aquarium and a zoo.
