A short walk from the pretty harbour, this home couldn't be more typical of Mousehole if it tried. Once declared 'the loveliest village in England' by Dylan Thomas, 'Mowzul' is an ever-popular place to visit with narrow streets lined with historic cottages. Set over three floors, this former fisherman's loft is Grade II listed and has just the right balance of character features and modern, coastal-inspired styling. On the ground floor, a modern, eat-in kitchen provides everything you'll need for cooking at home, while the comfortable living room upstairs has the home's main entrance, an electric fire and a charming window seat. The top floor bedrooms are pretty special and we particularly love the vaulted ceilings and clever internal porthole windows. From the master bedroom, you can even see across to St Clement's Isle and beyond – what could be better? Stroll to the nearby, shops, cafes and restaurants or drive to Lamorna Cove (ten minutes) or Penzance (fifteen minutes).

Midway along a quaint narrow road set back from the bustling Mousehole Harbour, this Cornish cottage is a quaint and stylishly formed home-from-home. While tastefully modern with a fresh neutral colour palette and gentle nods to the town’s nautical history, the rustic origins have been retained. In the mornings, find the comfiest spot on the deep linen sofa and settle in with the papers and a cup of tea. Cooking in the kitchen is a laid-back affair with everything you need to whip up humble lunches or to prepare glasses of Pimm’s, sipped on the bench at the front. Wander out for pasties by the waterside—less than five minutes by foot—and wind through the village to gift shops and tea rooms. Take the twenty-minute drive to Marazion Beach, where the glittering Mount’s Bay gives the Aegean a run for its money. After a bracing dip, come home to de-sand in the double shower and settle in with a cider and a fish supper, looking forward to your weary head hitting the pillow of your luxurious king-size bed.

Tucked away in Mousehole's narrow, winding streets, this home's location is straight out of a fairytale – perched on a hill above the harbour, the living room and rooftop terrace look onto soft blue stretches of Cornish sea. The home is modern, polished, and bright, with a wide upper deck in full sun, making it ideal for summer living. Sling your sandy towels over the glass balustrade and relax with a glass of wine after a day on the beach. Spend an afternoon exploring the picturesque fishing harbour, nipping into cafes and shops as you weave your way around the village and its traditional granite cottages. Later, take a scenic walk west along the Coastal Path and admire views of the Tater Du Lighthouse. Further afield lie the larger towns of Newlyn, Penzance, and Marazion, each with their own pubs, restaurants, and secret coves.

This seaside cottage occupies a wonderful spot just beside the harbour in Mousehole. With plenty of traditional charm, it makes a great place to put your feet up and relax between your Cornish adventures. 

There's a nautical theme running throughout the home – look out for the lobster-printed cushions, handsome blue detailing, and even a glimpse of the sea from the window. On chilly days, you can throw a log on the fire and get comfy on the sofa with a good book and a glass of red wine. And, when you get hungry, you can whip up some family favourites in the kitchen, before serving your culinary creations at the cosy dining table. 

Mousehole Harbour is a sandy spot, so we think you'll spend much of your time paddling, eating ice cream, and watching the boats bobbing in the water. Culture fans will be delighted to discover that the little village is home to a few art galleries. And, if you fancy a day trip, you can visit hidden coves, ancient stone circles, and the historic port of Penzance, all within easy driving distance.

Quaint and full of personality, this family-friendly Cornish cottage is located just moments away from the water's edge. It's truly a one-of-a-kind place, where lovers of literature and the seaside can feel right at home – it has to be seen to be believed. 

The cottage has gorgeous sea views and lavish blue velvet sofas where you can sink in and relax between your adventures. Keen readers can peruse the range of novels and non-fiction titles in the impressive library, then get stuck into their book of choice outside in the sunny courtyard. When it comes to cooking, the charming green Aga is perfect for cooking up your favourite dishes to share before you retire to the drawing room – there's even a baby grand piano that budding musicians can play. 

Mousehole's picture-perfect harbour is only a five-minute walk away, where kids can play on the sand as you watch the boats bobbing in the water. Adventurous types can head out to explore the rugged coastline – there's space to store your surfboards and bikes at the house. And, if you fancy a day trip, take the fifteen-minute trip over to Penzance to stroll through the historic port town.

Whether you’re visiting in the summer, winter, spring or autumn, Mousehole’s quay is always bustling with art galleries, gift shops and fantastic restaurants. Best of all, you can walk to the harbour in less than ten minutes. Other local attractions include St Clement’s Isle, which sits just some three-hundred metres from the shore and boasts incredible sea and wild life, or the nearby bird sanctuary at Ragginnis Hill. Just be sure to pack comfortable walking shoes because this area is best explored on foot.

Discover the quaint fishing village of Mousehole with a stay at this traditional Cornish home. Though it's been updated with contemporary furnishings and amenities, you can easily discern the home's history with its old stone walls, wood-burning stove, and the exposed wooden trusses that adorn the bedroom's ceilings. An outdoor balcony on the roof connects to two of the bedrooms, making it the perfect spot for a morning breakfast or cup of tea. We love the living area’s enormous bay window that looks onto the sea – a view that goes hand in hand with a bottle of wine in front of the fire or a good book. Mousehole offers plenty of options for eateries, including traditional pubs and tearooms, but on nights when you just fancy a home-cooked meal, the kitchen is fully equipped. Dine at the rustic wooden table, then head out for an evening walk along the harbour wall and watch the waves crash. Tomorrow you can walk the Coastal Path to the Tater Du Lighthouse, or take a scenic drive to the nearby towns of Newlyn, St Michael's Mount or charming St Ives. If you prefer to stay in Mousehole, wander the shops and enchanting streets of this quiet seaside town before returning it's time to hit the beach again.

Enjoy a glass of bubbly while watching as the balmy sky paints a colourful picture over the horizon. Wander the narrow winding streets of Mousehole – lined with boutiques, galleries and restaurants. With the fishing port, only a seven-minute walk away as well as surf beaches galore around this part of Cornwall, you'll be based in a dream coastal spot for a quintessential English seaside experience.

Offering plenty of room to spread out and catch up in the living and dining areas, it is a space that provides a sociable ambience or a peaceful setting where the group can take moments of solitude if needed. Perch on the window seat with a good book in hand. Or better still, when the weather is being kind make your way outside to take in the fresh sea air. 

Open up. the patio doors and step out onto the driftwood-decked courtyard with outdoor seating, barbecue and a space to keep surfboards and bikes. While the dreamy ocean views are best seen from the upstairs bedrooms, the tranquil patio garden is a wonderfully secluded spot to make the most of the sunshine in privacy. Then, of course, there is the beach, and an array of pubs, shops and eateries positioned just half a mile away from your central address in Mousehole.

The picturesque fishing village of Mousehole may not be one of Cornwall's most famous hotspots, but it's certainly one of the most beautiful and this home is in the perfect position for exploring it. A short stroll to the centre of its tiny town and a three-minute wander from the sparkling harbour, filled with restaurants, bars and fishing boats. The surrounding area offers plenty to see and do, including many glorious places to eat, but it's always lovely returning back to this cosy cottage. Curl up with a good book under the warmth of the wood-burning stove or sink into the deep sofa seat with a glass of wine. You'll notice plenty of personal touches, from local artwork to quirky adornments, as well as low-beamed ceilings that make for a homely country-style living space to relax. In warmer months, the large garden with the full range of outdoor furniture calls out for lazy days spent in the sun sipping alfresco drinks. Inside and out, this home is the perfect size for a romantic break in a quieter Cornish village.

From here, it’s just a short walk to the nearest beach, shops, bakery and charming pubs, while the coast is brimming with opportunities for long hikes, cycle rides and sightseeing. Penzance and the majestic St Michael’s Mount are within easy driving distance.

Situated in Mousehole, one of Cornwall’s prettiest fishing villages, this cottage is a cosy stay from which to explore the coast and beyond. The interiors are neutral-toned and homespun, with the occasional nod to the abode’s nautical surroundings. Spend late mornings pottering around the kitchen-living space; slather Cornish clotted cream on scones and enjoy with a pot of tea on the sun trap patio. Slip on your sandals and take a stroll along the harbour, just metres from your doorstep. Dip in and out of locally-owned galleries and cafes before settling in with an ice-cool beverage by the water’s edge. When you’re keen to expend a little more energy, lace up your walking shoes and set off on the fifty-four-minute ramble to Lamorna Cove Beach. As soon as hunger bites, take the ten-minute drive to the town of Newlyn for an irresistible selection of seafood restaurants – the Michelin Guide recommended Tolcarne Inn was one of our favourites.
