Inside this home, set on the second floor (with no lift), there’s a good-sized living room. And if you want to cook at home, there’s a well-appointed kitchen. Another highlight of this apartment is the location. You’ll be just a short stroll from the seafront, family-friendly beaches and the historic Cobb Harbour, as well as shops and restaurants. 

Gardens & Beaches

Located in the seaside town of Lyme Regis, this apartment was once part of the old Station Hotel. Ideal for a family or friends looking to explore this picturesque part of England, there's so much to see and do around here. Spend your days with your toes in the sand, tucking into fish and chips, or enjoying a game of golf at the nearby course. By night, sit out under the stars in the enclosed courtyard or stroll into town for a pint in the local pub. Whatever your holiday calls for, this handy homestay delivers.

Jurassic Coast Jewel

Set on the popular Marine Parade in Lyme Regis, this home is an ideal base for a small family or group of friends. You’ll need to take care with the steps and uneven ground here, and because of the desirable location, you may hear a little noise during your stay. But, we think you’ll be too busy soaking up the fresh sea air to notice. The key thing that caught our eye here is the secret passageway to the beach – so stroll down to the sea, after which, a plethora of beachfront eateries await ready to serve up an authentic coastal dinner. 

Fossil Finder

With beautiful views of the Dorset coast, this four-story beachfront property is a real gem. Enjoy the sea vistas from the private terrace and from inside this home too. The fully-equipped kitchen and dining area are ideal for entertaining family and friends. When you want to explore the beach, it’s just steps away from this home. You’ll also find plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops on your doorstep. Further afield, explore the Jurassic Coast at Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre, or go for a hike at Stonebarrow Hill.

The Golden Stars

Coastal family stays are written all over this former 18th-century farmhouse. It's spread across multiple levels, so there's plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Kids can lay claim to the cosy lounge upstairs featuring sea views, while grown-ups will enjoy a glass of wine in front of the snug's fireplace. Meanwhile, everyone can come together in the kitchen – or, in the summer, pad out to the garden for an alfresco feast. Location-wise, a scenic walk along the Roman Road leads to Lyme Regis. That said, a car will be quicker – the beach is just a five-minute drive away.

Dorset Memory

Hidden away in a quiet Dorset village, this marvellous thatched cottage makes for a perfect rural retreat. Surrounded by greenery and only fifteen minutes from the coast, the cottage boasts elegant period features on the inside and a beautiful garden outside – complete with its own stream – for you to wander at leisure. Its three bedrooms are upstairs and linked with no separate access, meaning whoever takes the first bedroom will need to accommodate other guests passing through. Beyond the cottage's verdant grounds, it's only a short drive to the beaches of Lyme Regis, as well as the amazing topography of the Jurassic Coast.

The Secret Stream

Set in the picturesque village of Whitchurch Canonicorum, this single-level home offers a tranquil escape in the heart of Dorset. With beautiful views over the fields beyond, the garden is a great place to unwind. There’s also a paddock with a small orchard area. Inside this old, converted dairy, there are plenty of character features, along with a traditional farmhouse-style kitchen. We love the wood burner too – the armchair here is the perfect place for reading a book. It might be difficult to tear yourself away from here, but there’s plenty to see and do. The village has a pub which serves food, while Charmouth, with its popular beach, is just over two miles away. 

Dorset Orchards

Follow in the footsteps of nineteenth-century fossil hunter Mary Anning with this glorious coastal apartment overlooking Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast.
 
 Spend your days scouring the cliffs for prehistoric treasures, browsing Lyme's tempting gift shops and eateries or strolling the world-famous Cobb Harbour – all within a few minutes' walk of the apartment. Enjoy a sunny barbecue on your private roof terrace or rustle up something tasty in the well-equipped kitchen, then settle back to enjoy spectacular sea views. If the Dorset weather isn't so kind to you, a squashy sofa (and smart TV) awaits in the open-plan living space. Oh, and look out for the host's thoughtfully curated artwork featuring the local area.
 
 Spend time getting to know the quirky charms of Lyme Regis or take a road trip and explore further along the West Dorset and East Devon coastline before returning to your welcoming home-from-home. A rare find indeed!

Ammonite

Stradling the border between Devon and Dorset on over five acres of woodland, this stately and delightfully quirky home can thank the secluded location for the beautiful countryside views. Between the untamed garden and on-site meadows, you'll find a tiered deck with a sauna, hot tub and ample seating. Even further along is a natural pool for warmer days. If you'd prefer a day at the beach, Lyme Regis lies only a few minutes away. And exploring the Jurassic Coast is a must, Durdle Door especially – it's a little over an hour but well worth the trip.

The Road to the Meadow

Moments from the beach, this apartment is perfectly placed for a refreshing retreat on the Cornish coast. You’ll be right in the heart of Lyme Regis so it’s just a short walk to local restaurants, cafes and shops. Plus, it’s a great base for exploring some of the most beautiful spots along the Jurassic Coast. Wherever the day takes you, this home makes it easy to switch off and unwind. The rooms are simple, but it’s family-friendly and there’s a wonderful shared garden for warm weather drinks.

After spending your time gazing at geological phenomena and prehistoric intrigues of the Jurassic Coast, Lyme Regis makes for a wonderful base to return back to the 21st century. This charming town has bustling high streets, independent boutiques, cafés, and a microbrewery where you can sample local English ales. But it’s not a complete escape from nature either – just a minute walk from this quaint cottage, you’ll also find the sandy shores of Lyme Regis beach.

Full of character inside and out, arriving here is exactly the English seaside abode you’d imagine. With cream walls alongside a bright blue front door and matching sash window frames, a nautical theme immediately springs to mind.

Inside this traditional building, the fresh, modern decor makes you feel immediately relaxed. We love the earthy palette of peach, cream, dark brown wooden floors, and a moss-coloured sofa. Wicker pieces and textures bring a sandy look, offering another reminder of your coastal setting. Further nods to the nautical theme are found throughout the cosy cottage, with anchors, captain’s wheels, and a glossy shoal of decorative fish bringing the seaside to life.
