Surrounded by 64 acres of vineyards, orchards and farmland, this luxurious barn conversion puts you between the coastal beauty of the South Devon AONB and Dartmoor National Park. A fifteen-minute drive sees you at the Southwest Coast Path to discover secluded bays and white cliffs, or make the twenty-minute drive to Bantham Beach for a day on the soft sand of the classic British seaside. 

Though if you want to stay closer to home, you’ll find plenty of activities right on the estate. Gin and wine tastings are on offer and walking the grounds you’ll come face to face with white-faced Dartmoor sheep and red Devon cattle. Should the weather turn, you’ve got a private indoor swimming pool and a dedicated cinema room with plush red theatre chairs and a big screen to keep you entertained. But sunny days can be spent on the patios, dining, reclining and unwinding in front of the rolling Devonshire scenery. 

Inside, wood-burning stoves and log fires keep things feeling cosy in the open dining and living room. The gabled beams of the barn are still on show, but the sleek kitchen and furnishings are all modern. It feels like a place for family or friends to gather after long walks in the countryside, and appreciate the peace and quiet.

Set across two floors, the owners have styled this home to feel like a cosy sanctuary. And once inside, you’ll find an abundance of space to relax, unwind and share quality time together. From the large living room (with views across the garden) to the snug ensuite bedrooms, this is the kind of space that brings lightness and ease to daily living. 

Follow the views outside and you’ll find the garden welcoming you to enjoy the fresh air with a quiet morning coffee, or later with fun-filled barbecue meals. And when the weather draws you inside, the dining room makes the perfect spot for heart-warming candlelit gatherings.  

From here, days can be spent strolling along the water’s edge, setting sail on a boat trip along the estuary, savouring picnics on the beach or sampling one of the award-winning local restaurants. 

Coral Cottage

This Georgian home in South Devon’s Chillington sits on an acre of land and offers a quintessential rural retreat. Pull on the wellies provided by your host, help yourself to the apples growing in the orchard and cook up a crumble in the country-style kitchen. When it comes to tucking in, groups of more than ten will need to spread across two dining tables – perfect for adults and children looking to chat amongst themselves. The beautifully-appointed bedrooms are spread across three floors, so expect to climb some stairs here. And after an afternoon of croquet in the garden, the group can either socialise together or split off for quiet time thanks to the two welcoming sitting rooms.

River Rush

This Grade II-listed fisherman's cottage showcases the best of Salcombe. The panoramas are incredible – whether you're waking up in the bedroom or enjoying a cup of tea on the south-facing terrace, you'll have a direct view of the boats bobbing in the estuary. Indoors, the 19th-century character complements the contemporary design, creating a calm, cosy place to unwind. There's a laundry room accessed via the alleyway, plus a handy wet room to rinse off sandy paws. As for the location, there's no comparison. You'll be perched along Victoria Quay's sea wall, only a short stroll from the high street and quayside.

The Little Fisherman

Set within the grounds of a hotel right on the South Devon Coast, nestled amongst 2000 acres of unspoilt Natural Trust land, this magnificent home mixes country and coastal charm effortlessly. 

Step into the sun lounge and you’re met with panoramic sea views and the perfect place to nestle down for some quiet time with a book – if you can tear your eyes away from the view, that is. 

With the large, bold and beautiful open-plan kitchen and dining area, it’s easy to see that this home was designed as a space for family and friends to gather. This is a kitchen you’ll want to cook in, and you’ll be surrounded by your loved ones as you rustle up a feast.

The outside space jostles for attention with the interior, and it would be hard to choose a winner. We love the treehouse and the private hot tub, which is just perfect for soaking in at the end of a long day exploring the area, sipping a sundowner and watching the spectacular sunset. You'll also have access to a nearby communal saltwater pool, tennis court and a spa.

With the beauty that surrounds you, you’ll be eager to get out and explore. The South West Coastal Path is within easy reach and it’s just a short drive to the stunning North and South Sands beaches, where you can soak up the sun and the sea air. 

The House of the Soaring Sun

Nestled along Hope Cove, this home is an ideal choice for a coastal family getaway. The charming balcony is a real treat, and while it's not the biggest outdoor space, you'll have plenty of room to unwind with a glass of wine in the evening as you look out to sea views. Inside, the modern decor is another welcomed sight, and the apartment is well-equipped with everything you’d expect for a relaxing stay. And with the sandy beaches, seafood restaurants, and cheery pubs just a short walk away, there’s plenty of fun to be had for friends and families when you do venture out. 




Seashell Serenade

Characterful and bright, this home is situated along three miles of the shingled beaches in Torcross. Originally constructed in the 1800s to house horse-drawn carriages, it's been renovated to retain the original charm and features, such as the exposed roof timbers in the living area. We love how welcoming the space feels, with sofas you want to sink into and a smart kitchen for rustling up Devon-inspired cuisine of your own. Share breakfast around the dining table before heading out for a day in the sun – this home is just metres from the beach. Stretch out on the shores of Slapton Sands while kids splash in the calm waters. When you're feeling peckish, pop home for lunch or grab a bite at one of the quaint eateries and pubs along the shore. Dartmouth and Kingsbridge aren't far – both a twenty-minute drive – if you'd like to pick up the pace and explore more of the South Devon Coast, but there's a quiet charm to the sleepy village of Torcross that we adore. It's perfect for families wanting a more laid-back, seaside getaway.

Sleepy Town

Explore the delights of South Devon from this picture-perfect penthouse apartment, ideal for a family looking to get away from it all. Located in the sleepy village of Torcross, it's an excellent spot to recharge your batteries away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The modern, open-plan design means you won't miss out on any of the fun, whether you're relaxing on the low sofa or preparing a mouthwatering dinner in the sleek kitchen. At the end of the day, the three bedrooms offer a tranquil sanctuary and a sound night's sleep. Blessed with a prime position, you're just a short walk away from a three-mile expanse of shingle beach and the pristine Slapton Ley Nature Reserve – a haven for birders. Meanwhile, history buffs will appreciate the opportunity to discover more about the ill-fated Exercise Tiger that took place here in April 1944. Finally, if you want to explore further afield, the picturesque towns of Dartmouth and Salcombe are within a half-hour drive.

This barn makes an excellent option for a rustic retreat in the heart of the South Devon countryside. Along with the idyllic views, you’ll be welcomed by neutral yet snug rooms (the living area features a cosy log burner) as well as a secure private garden – an ideal spot for children and pups to explore. And when it comes to adventures further afield, it’s just a fifteen-minute drive to the local beaches at Bantham and Bigbury-on-Sea, while beautiful walking trails can be followed straight from the door. 

A Tale From The Farm

You can hear the rush of ocean waves and taste the salt in the air at this charming seaside home in Torcross. First of all, there’s a private terrace, furnished with table and chairs, right on the promenade. Glass sliding doors lead from here to the living room, so you can still hear the sea from the comfort of the sofa. Beachglass-blue bowls and turquoise cushions pop against the otherwise white and cream backdrop inside. The kitchen is tucked away separately, with everything you need to cook a family meal.

On the promenade, it’s no surprise that you’re mere footsteps from the beach and there’s a charming local pub just two doors down. The South West Coastal Path runs right outside the door of this home and, if you want to explore the area by car, you’ll find Dartmouth a twenty-five-minute drive away and Salcombe half an hour away.
