Nestled in thirty-eight acres of private woodland and parkland, you'll find this Grade II-listed estate, It's well-known in the area for its beauty and tranquility, making this home a great option for those who want their holiday residence to be quiet and peaceful. 

Part of a manor house, this wing has been brilliantly taken care of since Elizabethan times and has recently been refurbished. Along with some original features that emphasise the rural charm, you'll notice plenty of wood, mood lighting, and high-quality soft furnishings where you can lounge and relax. Every room has a view of the scenic surroundings that are yours to explore – the host has told us that you might see a red deer or a rare bird on your morning walks around the pond. 

It would be easy to while away an eternity in this unique corner of Devon, but there's plenty to see and do in the wider area too. A twenty-minute drive will bring you to Exmoor National Park, where you can go hiking, mountain biking, or even try your hand at rock climbing and canoeing. And, if you're craving a day at the beach, then the north Devon coastline is close by – you can arrive at the surfer town of Westward Ho! in under an hour by car. 

Little Dart Retreat

This charming cottage comes with a setting as picturesque and comforting as its interiors. It sits in the centre of the beautiful village of Stockland and benefits from having a fully enclosed southwest-facing courtyard with views of the village church and countryside beyond. You can soak up the sunshine (and a glass of bubbles) with your loved one and experience a moment of pure bliss. While staying at home by the crackling fire and with good company is always great idea, we encourage you to go out and enjoy a country walk right from your doorstep, or plan a day of seaside fun and fossil hunting on the Jurassic Coast. Best of all, you'll come back home to a sumptuous bathroom with underfloor heating and a generous bathtub or a walk-in rainfall shower to pick from, and a luxurious super king-size bed where you'll sleep like royalty. Drenched in history and charm, Where The Ways Part makes for a romantic bolthole in the unspoilt rural landscape of the Blackdown Hills. 

Where The Ways Part

Settle in for coastal living in style in this pet-friendly Georgian home in Lyme Regis. Inside, it has been thoughtfully restored to create spaces that feel bright and airy, yet still characterful and homely. Curl up for cosy evenings by the fire after a brisk day by the sea, or sink into one of the roll-top baths before gathering around the table for a home-cooked meal. On warmer days, there’s a courtyard with a table and chairs for dining alfresco – or stroll into town for a bite to eat. And when it comes to beaches? You’re spoilt for choice – family favourites like Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are both within easy driving distance.

Coastal Manor

Felicity Orchard is a private affair. The huge enclosed garden offers stunning green views over the surrounding fields, as well as several hangouts where you can put your feet up and relax — from the little dining spot to the luxurious jacuzzi (this is covered, so you can enjoy the water and the fresh air whatever the weather). You'll also be sharing your space with some beautiful flowering fruit trees, so you're more than encouraged to grab an apple in the morning when the season is right. The insides are all open-plan so that you always have the best natural light, and in the evenings, you can curl up with a good book by the wood-burning stove when the weather is chilly. Nearby, you’ll find the beginning of the Grand Union Canal, which makes for a great walk. As you can see, there's always plenty to do in the area, but you can also drive to Exeter if you're in the mood for some urban exploration. 

Felicity Orchard

A cosy countryside retreat with a hot tub, wood burner and countryside views – are we ticking your holiday boxes yet? This charming home is ideal for a family wanting to escape from it all, and you can even bring your four-legged friends along for the ride. Handy, really, given you’ve got a plethora of walks on your doorstep, not to mention Exmoor National Park within easy reach. Fancy a coast day instead? You’re around a half-hour drive from North Somerset’s beaches – this home really does give you the best of both worlds. 

Somerset Bliss

Part of a former 16th century farmhouse, this cute home in the Somerset countryside is perfect for a peaceful escape. Secluded and intimate, it has a homely vibe that's made for couples on a romantic getaway. 

A fireplace and wood burning stove create a cosy ambiance, supported by the low-vaulted wooden beams and comfy sofa. Whether you're visiting in the glorious months of summer or the romantic winter season, the living room is a snug place to settle with a cup of hot chocolate or tea.

If you do visit in the summer, you'll love dining alfresco on the table in the courtyard. Share toast in the mornings, complemented by a cup of coffee, before moving on to a glass of cava in the evenings. Picturesque and quiet, the only sounds you'll hear are the birds singing in the skies above. 

If you fancied spreading your legs further than the courtyard, you'll reach the award-winning pubs in Broadway in just a few minutes' walk. Slightly further up the road, the quaint town Ilminster can be reached in five minutes by car – here, you'll find coffee shops, vintage stores and inviting cafes.

Apple of our Eye

Beyond a quiet courtyard and a weathered stone path, this modern countryside retreat feels like a secret worth keeping. Set in the gentle landscape between Taunton and Wellington, it invites you to live at a slower pace, think sunrise coffees in the garden, afternoon walks through the Blackdown Hills, and evenings with a book by the fire. The barn’s reverse layout brings light and air into the vaulted living space, while downstairs, two en-suite bedrooms provide a sense of privacy and calm. Whether you’re exploring cycle routes, teeing off nearby, or simply soaking in the views, it’s a peaceful, playful spot with everything you need for a restorative rural escape.

The Wildwood Wing

This Grade II-listed fisherman's cottage showcases the best of Salcombe. The panoramas are incredible – whether you're waking up in the bedroom or enjoying a cup of tea on the south-facing terrace, you'll have a direct view of the boats bobbing in the estuary. Indoors, the 19th-century character complements the contemporary design, creating a calm, cosy place to unwind. There's a laundry room accessed via the alleyway, plus a handy wet room to rinse off sandy paws. As for the location, there's no comparison. You'll be perched along Victoria Quay's sea wall, only a short stroll from the high street and quayside.

The Little Fisherman

If you love the thought of drifting to sleep while gazing up at the stars, this dreamy cabin could be the holiday home for you. The cabin is tucked away in a lush garden in a romantic setting that will make you instantly forget any of the worries of day-to-day life. It’s a studio-style cabin with one wall entirely made of glass, blending the interior and exterior. A skylight above the bed means you’ll go to sleep each night staring straight up at the stars. 

The cabin is based just outside of Launceston in Cornwall, close to the border of Devon. It’s brilliantly located for outdoorsy adventures, whether you’re keen on surfing or prefer to explore the countryside on foot. Dartmoor National Park is twenty-seven minutes away by car, with its wealth of wonderful hikes and cycling trails. You might take a day-trip to St Isaac to paddle in the sea and eat fish and chips and ice cream at the shore – it takes forty-three minutes to drive there, and it’s well worth the trip. 

After a day of exploring Cornwall and its gems, you can look forward to sipping wine on the terrace. Perhaps you’ll cook dinner on the barbecue before enjoying a relaxing bubble bath in the beautiful copper tub. Or to take the romance to the next level, you might soak in the hot tub under the stars. It’s impossible to leave here feeling stressed out.

Our Cabin

Ever dreamt of calling a Grade II listed castle with 38 acres of private land, on which streams flow, bluebell-peppered woodlands abound and red deer roam free, home? That dream might be about to come true. This spectacular home, which dates back to the Elizabethan era and 19th Century Georgian features, has been lovingly restored to combine its history with modern luxury - think a regency dining room and original fireplaces alongside a wine-chiller pantry and en-suites and Smart TVs in every bedroom. Beyond the majestic grounds, the location is excellent for nature lovers and townies alike. Exmoor is just a twenty minute drive away and great surfing beaches Saunton Sands, Woolacombe and Lynton are all reachable in under an hour. You can be in Exeter in thirty minutes by car, while nearby villages Tiverton - a fifteen minute drive away - South Molton and Barnstaple all offer weekly charming pannier markets, bursting with local produce. All that, and what's said to be the oldest pub in Devon, The Stag Inn, is under a mile away.

A Royal Feast

Set within the grounds of a private country home, this cottage has everything you could need for a refreshing rural escape. From the peaceful garden and terrace to the cosy living room with a wood burning fire, it’s easy to settle in and make it your own. And when it comes to entertainment, you’ll find a piano, table tennis, board games and a private gym. There's also 12 acres of private grounds to explore and you'll find beautiful hiking trails straight from the door. Plus, it’s just a fifteen-minute drive to Exeter city centre, while Dartmoor and the coast are also within easy reach. 


Wineberry Cottage

If the gentle trickle of water helps you relax and you're a lover of the great outdoors, this fabulous home is sure to delight you. Right next to a narrow part of the River Harbourne, which leads to the Dart, it's a converted fruit barn with bags of character and more than its fair share of chic styling. 

Built around 1825 and once a rubble ruin, the home has been completely modernised, with plenty of contemporary luxuries blending with the building's original structures. We love the extended kitchen and dining space, where beams and exposed stone walls give way to gunmetal grey patio doors and a glass ceiling.

Designed to be cosy for four but with the option of adding two children in the spacious master suite, it's a beautiful home with several standout features. As well as the modern log burner in the sitting room, there's the private garden beside the river, the high-spec kitchen, glamorous bathrooms and comfy beds. Plus a friendly local host who'll be on hand with tips and recommendations about the area.

On the outskirts of a village near Totnes, you'll be ideally positioned to access all of the South Hams easily by car. And keen walkers can head off to Totnes, Tuckenhay, Cornworthy and more. There are two good pubs within walking distance and the nearby Sharpham Estate has a great farm shop.
