From here, you’ll be able to enjoy the Torquay Seafront, seafood restaurants and watersports on offer, while boat trips can be taken from Torquay Harbour.

Located in one of the most desirable areas of Torquay, this elegant home is the perfect setting to experience the atmospheric charm of Devon. 

As you make your way up the grand staircase and into this apartment, you’ll want to pause and soak in the bright and warm presence. With views across the beautiful garden, there’s an uplifting and romantic tone here. And whether you’re relaxing in the tower bedroom or preparing your morning coffee in the kitchen, it’s easy to enjoy the intimacy of this space. 

Outside, it’s only a five–minute walk to the centre of the village where you’ll find local shops, cafes and a pub. From here you can walk to the Prehistoric caves at Kents Cavern and then on to the stunning Meadfoot Bay.

The restful haven has a warm energy that makes it a dreamy spot all year round. In the spring and summer, the sun shines on the cottaged houses and Lustleigh radiates in a jubilant mood. Come the colder months, the snug living room, with a log burner, is a quiet spot to curl up with a book or film. 

If the weather allows, you're expertly placed to explore the natural beauty of Dartmoor National Park. Bring snacks and plenty of water before you embark on a journey across the scenic walking trails. It's an idyllic location for picnics underneath the summer sun.

This seventeeth–century property overlooks the sparkling blue waters of the seaside town, Brixham. Situated next to the charming harbour, you're only a short stroll away from the waterside. Head up the three-tiered garden to admire the view from atop. You'll be greeted with clear skies, the hum of the waters, and the sounds of the harbour. 

The large windows throughout the home light up the space as you play on the vintage arcade table that offers the classical Space Invaders and Pacman. Whoever gets to sleep in the Captain's Cabin bedroom gets a gorgeous view of the surrounding harbour right from the comfort of their own bed – imagine waking up next to that blissful sight every morning.

The beautiful yet convenient location makes this the perfect place to reside on a family getaway to a seaside town. There's a fantastic selection of eateries by the harbour front as well as a cosy pub that serves delicious local produce. Wander the streets of Brixham to discover a ton of local hidden gems and treat yourself to sugary sweet treats and savory snacks.

If you're searching for a peaceful spot in South Devon where you can really relax, then this home is a true gem. It's one of a small number of holiday homes set on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, surrounded by tranquil wooded grounds and rolling hills. With the rugged landscapes of Dartmoor to explore on foot, by bike or even on horseback, nature lovers will be well catered for. And, whether or not you hit the trails, there are several traditional pubs and gourmet restaurants nearby where you can refuel in South Devon style.

This chic apartment not only boasts tranquil views of the English Channel, but it’s also within 250 metres of Torquay Beach. Inside, the place is fresh and funky – we loved the pastel pink furnishings and bold accent walls. After a restful sleep in the comfortable beds, rustle up a full English in the sleek kitchen or pick up some freshly baked pastries from the coffee shop opposite your building. Soak up the warm sunshine on the terrace before slipping on your sandals and strolling along the South West Coast Path. 

When lunchtime rolls around, head into the heart of Torquay, around a ten-minute walk away, to sample the independent eateries. If you fancy swapping the seaside for the country, Dartmoor National Park is less than an hour’s drive from your building. 

Ambient Works

Situated in the village of Bishopsteignton, this home welcomes all the family – including four-legged members. In the garden, there’s a sheltered area for dining and a hot tub for relaxing after a day at the seaside. Head inside, and you’ll find table football to keep everyone occupied on grey days. Just so you know, at capacity, the snug doubles as a bedroom and two guests will sleep on a sofa bed. Ready to hit the beach? Teignmouth is a ten-minute drive away. 

South Coast Sun

Located in Torquay, this Victorian mansion is a true Devon escape. The garden spans more than three acres and boasts a fully equipped alfresco kitchen, a cedar wood hot tub, and a firepit where you can toast marshmallows under the stars. Once inside, you'll find even more space to cosy up. Take your pick between the two lounges – both adorned with sumptuous seating and overlooking the grounds – or strike up a billiards competition in the games room. There’s even a gym to keep on top of your workouts. Keen to explore further afield? You'll be a short walk from the town's seafront promenade, sandy beaches, shops, and eateries.

Victorian Escape

Despite its small size, this studio apartment's proximity to Paignton's seafront gets full marks from us. The water is so close, you could practically reach out and touch it from the living area, making it the perfect spot to enjoy some sand, surf and Devon sunshine. 

We love how the coastal scenery is reflected in the sleek and stylish design. Yellow chairs invite you to kick back and relax with a glass of wine, admiring the views framed in the full-height windows. The compact but well-stocked kitchen is ideal for romantic dinners at home, while the lush rainfall shower is just the ticket after a balmy day by the sea. 

Of course, days here are best spent wandering along the traditional pier, snacking on fish and chips at Goodrington Sands and dipping your toes in Tor Bay. The beach is a mere 100 metres away, but if you're keen on exploring a bit further, you'll find the South West Coast Path, Torquay and Exeter are just a short journey by car.

Balmy & Clear

Within the popular beach town of Paignton, this home is ideally located for exploring North Devon. You’ll be able to stroll down to sandy Goodrington Beach in just seven minutes – from there, admire the unusual red colour of the sand and go for a walk along the pretty pier. While in town, why not pick up some fresh produce to cook on the barbecue for the ultimate British summertime meal back home. Upon your return, knock up a few light bites in the swanky kitchen before sipping bubbly on your private glass-fronted balcony – we can vouch for the sea views. Come evening, enjoy an al fresco dinner or watch the sun go down over the water with a glass of chilled wine. While you won’t have it all to yourself, the large pool will be a welcomed sight on sunny days. However, the real highlight of this home is access to the neighbouring boating lake which lets you hire out swam boats and bob along the peaceful waterway below. Bliss.
