This house is primed for entertaining – in the living room there’s a baby grand piano and arrangements can be made for a local pianist to play for you. Another highlight is the bedroom with its freestanding bath with vistas over the locale. Your host really has thought of everything to ensure you have a wonderful stay here.

Enjoy a cosy stay at this cottage in Mickleton. You're just a stone's throw from the Cotswolds Way, so set off on an afternoon amble, finishing at one of the two village pubs. Chipping Campden, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Warwick are also within driving distance and make great options for day trips. The house dates back to the 19th century but has been given a modern makeover. We love the contemporary kitchen, leading onto a small garden outside which is ideal for alfresco dinner and drinks. Still, there are plenty of traditional touches to admire here, especially the stone hearth (complete with a wood burner) and rustic wooden beams in the lounge.

There's something to satisfy everyone's wanderlust at this charming period cottage nestled right in the beating heart of Chipping Campden. This is your gateway to the best of the Cotswolds – Market Hall, The Spa at Cotswold House and Chipping Campden's bustling high street are all within walking distance. And when it's time to explore further afield, jump in the car and you can be in the chocolate-box villages of Bourton-on-the Water and Stow-on-the-Wold in fifteen minutes flat. 

Back at this cosy home away from home, exposed Cotswold stone walls, higgledy-piggledy beams and a crackling wood-burning stove bring all the charm. While we liked the comfortable bedrooms and sparkling bathrooms, what really blew us away was the impressive kitchen and dining area. It's the true hub of the home, with plenty of room to cook and dine together. We can easily imagine mornings here, the French doors open wide as you sip coffee on the patio and tuck into a lazy breakfast around the dining table. We also loved the techy extras, like nest heating, electronic locks and Google Home Bluetooth speakers. With the occasional bleat from the neighbouring sheep your only distraction, it doesn't get much more charming than this.

A true recipient of the Plum Award, this home has also received the Green Tourism Silver Award, in recognition of this host's dedication to green initiatives such as energy and water efficiency and mindful waste reduction. Your host can share recommendations on local farmers markets and shops selling locally-sourced food, as well as eco-friendly activities such as cycling routes and nature trails to help you enjoy your stay in Chipping Campden, all the while reducing your carbon footprint. Recently restored throughout, while lofty exposed oak beams and honey Cotswold stone walls remain to tell of the lodge’s rich heritage, everywhere else is beautifully reimagined for luxurious modern living. Upstairs, on the first floor, you’ll find one hug of a king-sized bed feathered in quality Egyptian Cotton awaiting in the two serene double bedrooms and a luxurious rolltop bath for post-hike evening soaks. While up into the eaves on the top floor, you'll find a characterful third bedroom with twin beds that would perfectly suit children or friends sharing. 

But it’s back downstairs in the expertly extended living areas where we think you’ll spend most of your time together. Hunker down in the cosy lounge for board games and catch-ups. Then spill out into the light-filled dining area overlooking a pretty courtyard garden for drinks and nibbles. And though cooking is a joy in that made-for-action kitchen, those charming local inns and top-notch restaurants on your doorstep might just be too tempting.

Forage in the herb garden and strawberry patch or sample local produce from the welcome hamper laid out for your arrival. The chic country kitchen is very much the heart of this home, with traditional stone floors and a large dining table that extends towards the cosy lounge. Elegantly framed by vaulted ceilings and traditional oak beams, it’s a wonderfully sociable space to gather. The warm welcome continues out on the patio, where you can enjoy alfresco drinks in the private, enclosed garden and make the most of good weather in the thatched dining hut. Hiring a hot tub is also an enticing option. Children can explore the outdoor play area, while kids and adults alike will enjoy the array of board games and DVDs. To top it off, every convenience has been thought of – catering can be arranged either for your whole stay or as a one-off, and your host can also receive and unpack your supermarket shop before you arrive.

In the traditional kitchen, complete with a range cooker, you'll find a welcome pack waiting, stuffed with goodies including scones, jam, and clotted cream. Climb the winding staircase and discover serene bedrooms with picture-perfect window views. And in the bathroom, a slipper tub placed just so beneath a roof skylight for night-time stargazing. When it's time to spread your wings, jump in the car, and you can be in the bustling village of Broadway with its museums, shops, pubs, and cafes for cream teas in a mere twelve minutes. However, we wouldn't blame you if you decided to stay just exactly where you are.

Welcome to this beautiful 17th-century Cotswold cottage in the pretty village of Ebrington. This place is brimming with original features and some more modern additions, including the all-important wood-burning stove and a slipper bath. The house gets its name from the original water pump in the front garden, while out back, there's a deck with a sofa – perfect for an alfresco drink. We also love the secret garden room ideal for remote working (note it's not available to use during the winter months). It's just 2 miles to Hidcote Manor – a National Trust property – while the quintessential Cotswold village of Broadway is 8 miles away. Or, there's a highly regarded village pub a two-minute stroll from your door – perfect after a walk around the countryside.

Planning an escape to the Cotswolds? This charming cottage in Blockley will be right up your street. With a wood burner, sloping ceilings, beams and a quaint garden, it’s the perfect country getaway. A short walk away you’ll find the village pub along with the community owned shop and cafe, perfect for a bite to eat during the day, along with the odd evening dinner. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the walking trails situated right on this home’s doorstep, including The Monarch’s Way long distance walking trail, or you may prefer a visit to nearby Stow-on-the-Wold for a stroll around the market square.

With a terrace offering up a vista of the rolling north Cotswolds, it won't be a mystery why we added this home to our collection. Previously a home for silk mill workers, we loved how homely the space is – start a roaring fire in the inglenook fireplace (made with local stone, no less) and relax after a long hike or a short stroll through the local village. In the garden, the alfresco dining area is perfect for afternoon tea, while the sun loungers let you take in the view in-between naps. For dinner, you've got several pubs within a short walk here.

Within the Cotswolds AONB, this modern home is a short walk from the local pub and puts walking trails and idyllic villages on your doorstep. The market town of Chipping Campden is 2.5 miles away to stock up on supplies, but it’s all about the quiet countryside idyll here. You’ll find two comfortable bedrooms on the ground floor, along with two bathrooms, a full kitchen and cosy living room. Glass bi-fold doors blend the indoors with the private garden where table and chairs on the patio catch the evening sun. Plus, there’s a barbecue for sunny days.

Located in the heart of Chipping Campden, this 17th-century cottage is the perfect base for discovering the Cotswolds. With plenty of walks on your doorstep, the beautiful countryside can be easily explored on foot. After a long day hiking, the patio keeps outdoor living comfortable, while the log burner ensures things stay cosy during colder months. This is a typical cottage – spread over three floors, with low ceilings and beams, so may not be the best option for those who may struggle with stairs. Just a fifteen-minute drive from Moreton Marsh train station, which has good transport links to London and Oxford – so you can have the best of both worlds.

Quaint and peaceful, this 18th-century stone cottage is perfect for a family getaway. The Grade II listed home charms with traditional features such as an inglenook fireplace and exposed wooden beams but also offers modern comforts to make your stay cosy. That said, it's worth noting taller guests will have to watch their heads around the sloped ceilings. Kids will love the grassy garden, and parents can supervise from the outdoor seating area. Location-wise, the award-winning pub, The Ebrington Arms, is just a few minutes away.

Nestled in the village of Broad Campden, this charming cottage is an ideal base for a countryside stay. Just a stone’s throw from the high street, you can visit tea rooms, independent shops, galleries and pubs at your leisure. 

Cotswold Tranquillity

Nestled away in the sort of picturesque village that's quintessentially Cotswolds, this home was once a barn in a former life and there are a few rustic traces to be spotted throughout, from the patches of stone flooring and wooden ceiling beams to the roaring fireplace in the living room.

However, these features are few and far between, with the rest of the living quarters treated to all the hallmarks of clean, contemporary design – we're talking stark white walls, gleaming kitchen surfaces and equally glossy bathrooms. Possibly our favourite part, however, is the conservatory at the back of the home, which is a lovely spot for lunch and a little bird-spotting.

If you're particularly lucky with the weather, you'll have the opportunity to make the most of the large garden, which goes around almost every side of the house so you can follow the course of the sun during the day. In the courtyard to the rear, there's also a large alfresco dining table that's just the spot for enjoying dinner fresh off the barbecue.

When you're in the mood to see a little more of the local area, there's a decent choice of walking routes to embark upon straight from the surrounding village of Paxton, but you can also easily reach other Cotswolds attractions – Batsford Arboretum is just over three miles away, for instance.

This honey-coloured cottage is what dreams are made of. You'll find Box Cottage nestled in a secret courtyard just off the main street in Broadway, a village so picturesque it looks like a film set. Plenty of boutiques, cafés and restaurants are within a two-minute walk from the front door. The home itself is an elegant, light-filled space. Tradition meets contemporary living here, with comfy squashy sofas and exposed wood beams. The crowning jewel is the beautiful courtyard and its pergola draped with wisteria. Spend summer evenings cooking dinner on the charcoal barbeque, or enjoy fresh winter mornings with a hot cup of coffee – this home really is the ultimate seasonal escape.

This Grade II listed home is the perfect embodiment of Cotswolds charm. Inside, traditional features sit in perfect harmony with contemporary comforts, making this the ideal setting for a relaxing retreat. Guests should note there are low ceilings throughout, and the steep stairs mean this isn’t the best option for those with reduced mobility. However, you will find a sweet garden and patio. Plus, it’s a great base from which to explore the region. Follow hiking trails straight from the door, walk to the local pub or adventure further afield to the town of Broadway – just a fifteen-minute drive away.

Located a stone's throw from the famous Fleece Inn, this delightful cottage is the definitive answer to that longing we get when driving past all those charming thatched roofs in the Cotswolds (though it's actually just over the border in Worcestershire). Your hosts have worked tirelessly to deliver interiors that feel both modern and historically charming at once – the greatest example of which being the upstairs bedrooms. Both are tucked under beams and eaves but still maintain an atmosphere of luxury through high-quality bedding and furniture. Start your day by tucking into breakfast in the bright conservatory before heading off to explore nearby villages – picturesque Chipping Campden is a twelve-minute drive away, while Bourton-on-the-Water is half an hour away. If cooking during your country break is not on the cards, the Fleece Inn is steps away and serves traditional English favourites, or you could arrange a private chef through your hosts. Then, at the end of a long day, return home to enjoy a quiet night in by the TV or watch the sun go down from the cushioned window seat.

The Little House by the Creek

Sitting atop Dover's Hill, this home boasts some of the finest views in the Cotswolds. It's a haven for amblers and outdoor enthusiasts. You're a stone's throw from the footpaths along the Cotswolds Way – perfect for walks with the dogs – while Chipping Campden and Moreton-in-Marsh are also nearby. Back home, the terrace is ideal for relaxing with a cup of tea (or something stronger) and admiring the idyllic scenery. Inside, an electric fireplace keeps things cosy during the cooler months, and there's even a vintage writer's desk for remote workers. Though there is a sofa bed here (which you can pay to use), we think it works best as a romantic retreat for two.

This home is set in a peaceful village – for keen walkers, there’s also a network of public footpaths over the surrounding fields. Or just a six-minute drive away, you’ll find the market town of Chipping Campden.
