This pretty 19th-century stone cottage, built in 1821, is located in Minchinhampton, with a pub and cafes within walking distance. The Grade II listed castellated home has been lovingly refurbished to retain its character features, including stunning Gothic-style windows and an ornate arched doorway, while adding contemporary comforts. Pretty and comfortable, the cottage has a sitting room adorned with antique maps and artwork, and a pretty kitchen. Outside, you’ll find a patio and gravel courtyard garden with a barbecue and chiminea.

The Castellated Cottage

Step back in time at this 350-year-old Cotswold stone cottage. Curl up in front of the log burner and admire the oak floors and original exposed beams. Soak up the sun in the pretty wisteria-filled garden. You’re in the thick of things here, as this charming home is in the centre of Tetbury. Stroll to independent shops, cafes and restaurants, and keep an eye out for resident royals as you go. We recommend bringing a car so you can explore more of the Cotswolds – it’s all within easy reach here. 

Vintage Cotswolds

A short drive from Cheltenham, yet worlds away from the rush, this countryside retreat opens onto wide skies and winding walks. Wake to birdsong and coffee in the garden, then set out to explore the Cotswolds, from golden-stone villages to rolling fields dotted with sheep. Back home, the bold green kitchen hums with conversation, bedrooms invite lazy mornings, and the garden stretches into open countryside. This is a place to step out of routine, gather with those you love, and live to a slower rhythm.

Stone & Willow

This quaint cottage is the quintessential Cotswolds hideaway. The outside is picture perfect: roses and honeysuckle creep up the walls, built in Cotswolds limestone alongside the classic mint green paintwork. Inside, the exposed stonework and wooden beams have been preserved, while each room is decorated to an exacting standard. The kitchen is a joy to cook in, with sunlight streaming through the window. Chic mid century furniture, rattan rugs and pops of plant life will have you taking notes. 

Upstairs, the pièce de resistance is the standalone bath in the master bedroom, replete with luxury toiletries, where you can soak after a day of exploring. The cottage is nestled in a quiet street in Painswick, a traditional, incredibly pretty Cotswolds village. You are within eight minutes walk of a handful of excellent country pubs, as well as shops and local amenities. The Painswick Rococo garden is a stunning, peaceful place to wander around, complete with a maze, blooming flowers and 18th century architecture, and can be reached in seventeen minutes on foot. There is also a market every Thursday morning in the village, where you can buy food and local wares. 

Queen of The Cotswolds

This adults-only retreat is tucked away on the edge of the National Trust's Minchinhampton Common. Just a fifteen-minute stroll from the town centre, this is a great option for those looking to explore, relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the Cotswolds. Back at home, you’ll find a peaceful outdoor patio with a charcoal barbecue – perfect for lazy summer afternoons. Inside, the main bedroom boasts beautiful views across the Common, while the ground floor bedroom can be arranged as two singles or a super king bed on request.

The Garden Spiral

Nestled into the charming village of Painswick, this Edwardian family home welcomes up to four guests to spend a few relaxing days exploring the beautiful Cotswolds. Recently renovated to ensure guests have a comfortable stay, there is a lavish clawfoot tub, a cosy fireplace, a sleek kitchen and a well-maintained garden with plenty of outdoor seating, so you can sip your morning coffee outside while taking in your lush surroundings. Host Sean goes out of his way to provide a spectacular array of breakfast items, including cereals, bread and croissants, hot drinks, eggs, and jams. The home is located just off of the Cotswold Way, and it's an ideal home base for keen walkers and hikers. If you'd rather do some sightseeing, the sixteenth-century Rococo Garden is just a short walk away and is sure to delight the whole family. 

Woodview

On a farmstead on the edge of the quaint village of Leonard Stanley, this home is the ideal spot to take in the singular beauty that is the English countryside. Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by rustic beams crossing the ceilings, wide wooden floors and timber furnishings throughout – and upstairs, the master bedroom boasts a shower nook at the end of the room while the second bedroom features a super king bed that can be split into two singles. Outside, you’ll have access to your own private courtyard, complete with outdoor seating, a barbecue and a hot tub. But the real winner here is the setting – the picturesque rural landscape is always captivating, and will keep you wanting to venture out even in the cooler months.

The Cottage and Courtyard

Built back in the late 1920s, this cottage combines rustic features, modern conveniences and a smidgeon of rural eccentricity to make for a truly memorable stay. Inside, there are plenty of spots to gather the whole gang together, whether that's on the patchwork furnishings positioned by the wood-burning stove in the snug, sat around the dining room in the conservatory or sprawled out on the long grey corner sofa next to the eye-catching tree-trunk coffee table. Out the French doors, there's a large wraparound terrace with a barbecue and dining area, all facing a peaceful view of fields and forest. A gate at the end of the garden leads directly through this woodland and you can follow paths down to the beautiful Chalford Valley and the Thames and Severn Canal. A little closer to home — about ten minutes' walk — is the quaint market town of Minchinhampton, which has a market on the first Saturday of the month in the seventeenth-century hall and a country pub.

The Orchard View

This welcoming 17th-century cottage strikes the perfect blend of rustic farmhouse charm and modern mid-century furnishings to create a stylish, light-filled home with plenty of Cotswolds character. Indulge in the comforts of the house - sinking back into a comfy armchair and finding your new favourite book from the home's collection. Listen to tunes on the vintage-style radio in the living room, benefitting with low beam ceilings, a wood-burning stove and plenty of natural wooden furnishings that makes for a cosy, calming ambience. Working from home or practising your prose? There's a dedicated office space, ideal for powering through stubborn workloads - and while your other half gets their head down, spoil yourself with a soak in the wood-fired Dutch tub. From the sumptuous bed to the roll-top bath, the underfloor heating to the sprawling magical garden, the cottage has warmth and spirit in abundance. Speaking of, the gardens are just as impressive, with the ultimate tipi and barbecue ready for an evening glamped-out under the stars. Rise and shine with a spin around super-scenic Far Oakridge - making use of the bicycles provided - before returning home for a delightful brunch courtesy of the good-willed welcome basket, filled with seasonal wine, chutneys, cheese, biscuits and jams. Lovingly thought-out, you'll be well looked after at this idyllic home, far from the madding crowd. 

The Little House

Living on the grounds of a 16th century country-house in the lush green Cotswolds (the largest Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) already creates the ideal setting for nature lovers. Once you settle in with biscuits, fresh scones and fruits on arrival (among other goodies) and befriend the curious chickens, embark on a walk through the rolling Cotswold hills and valleys. While Netflix and cocoa are perfect for rainy days in, there is a whole world out there on sunnier days. The Cotswold Way is a trail that we’d definitely recommend, with plenty of historic pubs along the way, each serving their own collection of local ales. The home is located in Painswick, a village known as The Queen of the Cotswolds and characterised by beautiful narrow streets of honey coloured stone buildings dating back to the fifteenth century. Legend has it that the Devil won’t let a hundredth tree grow. There are all sorts of cafes and restaurants in and around the village, so make sure you ask the host, Hannah, for some recommendations.


The Cotswold Cedar

One look at the rolling Painswick Valley views on the horizon from the outdoor seating area, and you'll understand why this cottage made it into our English collection. Tranquil, because of its secluded spot, the house boasts traditional wooden beams, a farmhouse kitchen and a wood-burning stove and pairs it with modern elements. If the large garden doesn't keep the little ones entertained – unlikely – there's also a games room with table football, but they might need help up and down the steep stone staircase to get there. Location-wise, you're near Stroud's renowned Farmer's Market, while Cheltenham is just a 20-minute drive away.
