If you’re in search of a fresh and modern family home, this is a great solution. You’ll find an abundance of space across the open-plan living room to relax and spend quality time together. Three of the bedrooms come with en-suite bathrooms for optimum privacy and there’s a home office for remote workers. Plus, there’s a garden and a terrace for warm weather drinks and alfresco dining. You’ll also find this is a fantastic base for exploring Surrey. From here, it’s just a short drive to Cobham High Street and Oxshott, while Hampton Court is also within easy reach. 


The Lily Rose

Rejuvenate with panoramic sea views every day at this beachfront hideout perched along one of Sandgate’s most sought-after private roads. Boasting direct access to a quiet and secluded stretch of beach, and yet just a 4-minute drive (or thirty-three minutes on foot) from the bustling seaside town of Folkestone, it’s hard to imagine a better location. Wake up with invigorating strolls along the nearby coastal paths. Rustle up a picnic for the beach, or head into Sandgate for a dose of seaside nostalgia with fish and chips and lashings of ice cream. When it’s time for a spot of shopping and culture, mosey along to the cobbled streets of Folkstone, where you’ll find bustling restaurants, gastropubs, and the thriving artist quarter. Back at home, maritime curiosities bring coastal charm, while a dramatic mural painted by Kent artist Oliver Trowell brings drama and a dash of colour to the space. After busy days exploring the Kent coast, soak weary legs in the Jacuzzi bathtub. Then pad out onto the south-easterly facing terrace, fire up the barbecue and nestle down in the charming pergola. It’s your front-row seat to watch the glowing setting sun.

Blue Horizon

It's hard to believe that this home is not much more than twenty miles away from London. For a start, beautiful Kent countryside surrounds the property and you can fill your days with dragonfly-spotting, fruit-picking or wild-swimming in the river at the end of the garden.

The interior feels particularly rustic too, from the wooden ceiling beams and the plethora of exposed brickwork to the inglenook fireplace. That being said, there are all the modern comforts you could want here. Above the fireplace, a projection screen comes down for movie nights, while there are also tubs in all the bathrooms so you can start the day off at a super-slow pace.

The nearest village, Edenbridge, can be reached in six minutes' drive and is full of charming distractions, including a monthly farmer's market, a collection of medieval buildings and the Eden Valley Museum. Hever Castle only takes twelve minutes by car too and sits on the edge of the High Weald AONB.

In the Garden of Eden

This charming cottage is on the edge of Matfield, a village with two pubs and a great setting-off point for countryside walks. This cosy abode is ideal for those wanting to explore the Kent and Sussex countryside, as well as the local wine farms. Hastings and the coast are only a forty-five-minute drive, too. The cottage has plenty of room, with a double sofa bed in the summer room for those wanting to spread out. We love the beautiful enclosed garden and patio, where you can relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. 

The Rose & Crown

Situated within the grounds of the historic Leeds Castle, this cottage has a privileged location. Staying in this home allows you entry to Leeds Castle and the grounds during the day, and in the evening, you have the unique chance to explore the grounds after the public has left. Also nearby is the beautiful Kent Downs or have a stroll around Maidstone. Inside the cottage itself, the traditional interiors are in harmony with the house and there’s a well-equipped kitchen to create some home-cooked food. We love the patio area and large lawned garden with its verdant views. This place is ideal for a family.

Kent Charm

Hidden away next to ancient woodland in rural Essex, this cabin is a British getaway that overflows with quirk and charm.

Inside, classically styled furnishings, such as the tufted Chesterfield, oak dining table and the four-poster bed that's come straight out of a fairytale, rub shoulders with the eclectic animal portraits that dot the wall, the antler chandelier and antique-style gramophone — which actually works in case you're in the mood for a boogie. The copper rolltop bathtub that lies just next to the bed is another decadent touch that we can't help but salute.

The home's exterior is full of pleasant surprises, too. When the weather's warm enough — and even when it's not — you can sit out in the home's hot tub, before drying off on one of the egg chairs next to the roaring fire pit. It's possible to hear the sounds of wildlife from the neighbouring forest, as well as the occasional roar from Colchester Zoo, which is less than ten minutes' drive from the home.

Elsewhere in the local area, the huge Abberton Reservoir takes five minutes to reach in the car and offers spectacular birdwatching opportunities. The local village of Layer de la Haye, with its pair of pubs and farm shop, is a ten-minute walk away, too.

Kooky Cabin

Step into this cosy and colourful Hertfordshire home, and out of the busy to-do of everyday life. Peacefully appointed, to stay here is to find a real sense of tranquillity from the moment you arrive. 

Wake up to serene green views from your Juliet balcony. Light pours in through the balcony doors in both the bedroom and the living space that making for a bright and uplifting interior. Lovingly decorated with tasteful artwork, antique adornments and curated flowers, it's the type of place in which you'll quickly feel at home. 

Sit down for lunch in the sunny and ever-so-charming dining area by the window – complete with a sleek white kitchen for plating up your home-cooking perfection. 

Walk into St Albans town centre for independent book and clothing shops, a surplus of quaint cafes and elegant eateries. If you're looking for a fun family day out, the stately Tudor home and gardens of Knebworth House are just a thirty-minute drive away, while you can reach London's glittering West End in under an hour.

Sunflower Whisperings

Situated on a small family-run agricultural nursery, we think this luxury lodge is the perfect place to switch off and recharge. Not only is the location excellent – the idyllic South Downs are practically on your doorstep – but the attention to detail here is second-to-none. Rainfall showers and eco-friendly toiletries in the bathrooms, Netflix on the smart TVs and a panini maker in the kitchen are just a few of the things we love. The design is impeccable with blue velvet, dark greys and lots of wood. It's the perfect blend between rustic, country living and contemporary comforts, with chic furniture handmade by host Lucca. Speaking of, he'll leave a welcome hamper brimming with goodies for you to enjoy, and depending on the season, it'll contain fresh Italian fruit and veg grown on their farm. 

Days start and end here out on the deck, enjoying alfresco breakfasts in the sun and evening dips in the private hot tub. In between, set off and explore the local area – just walk out the front gates and you're on the National Trust South Downs footpath, leading towards Highdown Hill. A fourteen-minute walk away is the local pub, a few eateries and shops in Ferring, and it's only a five-minute drive to the beach. And with Worthing, Chichester and Brighton all less than an hour by car, you'll have plenty of options for adventures around West Sussex.

Dew on the Vine

Surrounded by the beautiful countryside of Kent, this little cottage provides the ideal setting for a refreshing rural escape. From here, you can follow hiking trails straight from the door and you’ll find the village of Brenchley is just a short stroll away. Wherever the day takes you, this home has all the essentials needed for a relaxing stay. The rooms are simple, family-friendly and well-suited to couples travelling with pets. It’s worth noting the grounds are shared with the neighbouring home, but it still retains a wonderful sense of peace and privacy.
