The interiors may not have the 'wow' factor, but they're functional, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged for a relaxing stay. Outside, there's a lovely dining area that’s perfect for sunny days and laid-back meals. With everything within easy reach, this is a welcoming spot for families or friends looking to explore Broadstairs and beyond.

Broadstairs Base

Just a short stroll from the beach and Margate’s many shops, restaurants, and attractions, you’ll find this colourful home. Browse the artists' studios in the Old Town or have a walk along the coastal path to The Turner Contemporary.  The accommodation is set over three floors, with two open-plan sitting rooms and kitchens both with wood-burning stoves – one on the ground floor and the other on the lower ground. There are also two patios for alfresco dining or just enjoying the fresh sea air.

The Colourful Retreat

Explore the Garden of England with ease from this country farmhouse, based just an 8-minute drive from the sea and the centre of Deal. This stunning home boasts all the charming décor of a rustic countryside cottage, together with modern mod-cons and fabulous facilities, all to provide you with a quaint and comfortable stay.

Enjoy grand family breakfasts around the dining table and swing open the patio doors to let the crisp morning air in. Spend the afternoon exploring the 3 acres of landscaped gardens that you have access to and soaking up the surrounding Kent countryside. Little ones can have a blast on the trampoline, while bigger kids can enjoy a game of tennis on your own private courts. In the evenings, gather around the log fire for late-night conversations, or cuddle up on the sofa with a good movie or book.

You’re a short drive away from local attractions such as Walmer Castle, Deal Castle and the beach, and also within walking distance of a local pub – ideal for a pint after a ramble through Kent's green and pleasant landscapes.

The bedrooms have Soho Home Hypnos mattresses and The White Company linens, there are toiletries in the bathrooms plus your host can organise a range of child-friendly amenities (available upon request). It’s also extremely well located with the restaurants and boutiques of Addington Street just a short walk away, and the seafront just five minutes away. 

Nomad Living 

If a sea view is what you're after, this home will not disappoint. Perched on a clifftop in Birchington-on-Sea, the coastal scenery can be admired from most of the rooms. Our favourite viewpoint is the conservatory – we can't think of a better spot to enjoy a cup of tea and watch the tide roll in. Outside, the fuss-free garden offers space for kids and pups to let loose. Ready to explore? Birchington has two tidal shores that are ideal for walking and rockpooling. For a proper day at the beach, we suggest heading over to Margate, just 4 miles away.

Halcyon Horizons

Close to the medieval town of Sandwich, this modern barn has a private terrace and a large shared garden. With lovely views over the surrounding fields of rural Kent, hikers and cyclists can rejoice. We recommend hiring a car here – there's an array of friendly pubs and eateries an easy drive away, plus Kingsdown beach, and golf courses. Inside this home you'll find dedicated desks, a PC, and a stocked bookshelf up on the mezzanine level, perfect as a workspace or play area for children. The underfloor heating throughout is a small but luxurious touch, and the super king bed can become twin beds on request, great for families.

Gentle Geometrics

Get your fill of fresh coastal air at this welcoming cottage in Deal. An idyllic seaside getaway, it has everything you need for a relaxing stay. From its wood floors to its cosy fireplaces and contemporary decor, it’s all set to invite you into its warm and comfortable embrace. The farmhouse-style kitchen is where you’ll want to begin your days over hearty breakfasts and hot cups of coffee before catching some rays in the courtyard garden. Then grab your swimming costume and towel for an afternoon at Deal’s pebble beach (a four-minute walk away) or soak up some history at Deal Castle (also four minutes away on foot). Mosey around Deal High Street’s eclectic blend of shops (eight minutes) and take a day to visit Margate, a thirty-minute drive away. After whiling away your hours soaking up the sea air, come back home for sunset drinks in the garden. Then finish the night off with a relaxing soak in the freeform tub before retreating to your bedrooms for a blissful night’s sleep.

Whether you fancy an ice cream cone by the sea, a dip in the blue waters or a long walk along the coast, you'll be well-placed for exploring here. Margate Beach and all its fun-filled activities are about a ten-minute drive away, while closer to home, Plam Bay Beach is twenty minutes on foot.

With such incredible local attractions keeping you busy, you'll need a serene pad to come home to. We think this flat is just the ticket, especially for small families. The open-plan layout is a dream for laid-back evenings – parents can rustle up dinner in the kitchen while kids get cosy on the overstuffed sofas and never miss a beat in the conversation. Nestled into the vast Kent countryside, this whitewashed cottage is every bit as wholesome as you'd want from a country getaway. With beautiful gardens, an original fireplace, and farmhouse-style furniture, it's the perfect place to recharge. This home isn't without its mod-cons though, with underfloor heating, a coffee machine, and fast wifi, there's everything you need for a comfortable stay.

We love how sociable this home is – the ideal setting for a family getaway or a group of friends to reunite. Cosy armchairs provide the perfect spot for late-night catch-ups, a lovely dining table is fitting for dinners, drinks, and board games, while the kitchen is big enough for everyone to pitch in when preparing meals. And while we love the cottage's warm and comforting interior, the gardens really make this home sing. There's more than enough space for the little ones to run around while the grown-ups refresh the jug of Pimms and work on the barbecue. There's even space for a friendly game of rounders. 

If you're up early enough, you can catch an incredible sunrise from the front garden. But if not (you're on holiday after all), pull up a seat in the back garden for the most wonderful sunset, with whirling shades of pink and orange sinking into the Kent countryside. 

This is a really beautiful area. The quaint town of Sandwich is just a ten-minute drive away and is widely considered one of the best preserved medieval towns in England. Head to Sandwich Bay for windy walks on the beach, before tucking into some traditional fish and chips.
