Close to Kensington High Street and within walking distance of Holland Park, this townhouse makes a well-placed base for exploring west London. Set across three levels, it suits groups, with two en-suite bedrooms and a pair of twin rooms upstairs. Air conditioning throughout is a welcome extra in warmer months, and one of the bedrooms has a Juliet balcony overlooking the mews. The open-plan kitchen and dining space is geared towards eating in when you need a break from the city, and there’s a desk if you’re logging on during your stay. You’re about a ten-minute walk from the Tube for getting into central London, and around twenty minutes on foot from Hyde Park.

Kensington Breeze

Few houses in West London pack this much in – a private mini cinema suite with its own wine fridge, a separate outdoor snug with bi-fold doors spilling onto the garden, and a main suite built around a four-poster bed. The courtyard is made for lazy afternoons, and the terrace-to-snug drift works equally well for evenings in. When you do venture out, Goldhawk Road Underground station is a three-minute walk away, putting Central London about fifteen minutes from the door, with the Thames riverside and its Victorian bridge architecture close at hand too.

Velvet & the Thames

There's something truly whimsical about this Fulham home which we love. For instance, not every place has a swan's head (with a crown no less) watching over proceedings. The absolute highlight here, though, is the pretty, sunny garden – the rattan sofa, surrounded by scented climbers, is the perfect spot for cocktails. Back through the Crittal style patio windows, you'll find a stylish kitchen with a dining area and, beyond that, an elegant living room with period character features such as a bay window. At the end of a busy day in London, we can't think of anything better than having a long luxurious soak in the silver freestanding bath.

Located in the leafy, sought-after neighbourhood of Parsons Green, you'll have an array of restaurants and bars nearby. If you crave more green space, go for a stroll around Eel Brook Common, within a fifteen-minute walk. Or explore the rest of London – Parsons Green Station, on the Wimbledon branch of the District line, is under five minutes on foot.

The Swan Lake

A private roof terrace is a rare find in London, but this luxurious apartment offers exactly that. The views from up here span West London's rooftops – we can't think of a better spot to savour a glass of wine in the summer sunshine. That said, the interior is just as luxurious. Dark walls and high-end finishes create a chic, relaxing space. Granted, it's on the third floor, so expect a few flights of stairs here (though, in our opinion, it's definitely worth the climb). Location-wise, Holland Park is minutes away, while Notting Hill's quirky shops and trendy restaurants are walkable in ten. Heading to central London? Two nearby Tube stations make exploring the capital a breeze.

Black Ink

A roof terrace above the London skyline, with a barbecue and views over the surrounding rooftops – it's a strong opening move for this Kensington townhouse. Inside, the marble wet room, cinema room, and elegantly dressed main bedroom make it easy to settle in for days. Gloucester Road Tube is a five-minute walk, putting you within striking distance of the Natural History Museum, Kensington Palace, and Hyde Park – three of London's most rewarding landmarks, all without needing a taxi.

Skyline & Reel

Step into this lovely home in the sought-after nexus between Kensington, Holland Park, and Notting Hill. Feel right at home in the living area, where the decor and furniture evoke a relaxing atmosphere. This leads straight out to the private garden and terrace – a rare pocket of sunny outdoor living in the city – where you can dine alfresco or enjoy their morning coffee in the sun. Step outside and you’re moments from leafy parks, excellent restaurants, and local pubs, yet the apartment itself feels worlds away – a peaceful base in the heart of West London.

West London Wonder

Nestled close to the River Thames and Fulham Palace Walled Garden, the wraparound deck on the top floor here is the kind of spot you'll gravitate to morning and evening alike. Below it, the living space is built for easy days in – cooking, eating, stepping out onto the balcony whenever the mood takes you. Putney Bridge Underground Station is just a six-minute walk, making simple work of exploring all London has to offer.

Above The Botanicals

Housed within a Grade II listed building, this home is rich in period character. Soaring ceilings and an original decorative fireplace lend the living space traditional charm, while afternoon light spills through the tall windows, bringing every architectural detail to life. There's plenty of room to stretch out after a day spent exploring the capital, and the sofa bed makes hosting family or friends refreshingly easy. In Acton, you're around a ten-minute stroll from the Overground – head south for the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew in around twenty minutes, or travel north-west to Hampstead Heath in half an hour.

Acton Afternoon

You’ll find this contemporary city sanctuary in the heart of West London. From here, you can stroll to Westfield shopping centre and it’s just moments from the nearest tube station – making it easy to get across London. It’s worth noting there’s no lift in the building so you may have some steps to climb, but once inside you’ll find a welcoming and cosy home. Remote workers will appreciate the desk space, while the little kitchenette is perfect for preparing drinks and light bites.

The City Essentials

Located in North Kensington, this studio apartment is a twenty-minute walk from iconic Notting Hill and Portobello Road. And for reaching the rest of the capital, just hop on the Tube – Ladbroke Grove station is a fifteen-minute stroll away. We love the period features here – especially the ceiling roses and ornate cornicing. With a lounge area and dining table, this place is bigger than your average London studio. Whether you’re in town for work or pleasure, we think this home a great option for a couple or solo traveller seeking a characterful base in a convenient location.

The Gold Home

Barnes is one of London's most coveted neighbourhoods and it's homes like this that show you why. The Georgian townhouse is one of the oldest in Barnes Village — named as such since the area is bordered on three sides by the River Thames and parkland on the final side — although the interior is as modern as they come. Downstairs, the teal walls and dark brown floorboards make for an opulent canvas against which the varied artwork collection, marble kitchen surfaces and patterned ottoman stand out. As well as an additional living room geared towards movie nights, guests will also find a small patio filled with plants at the back of the property and a balcony with a view of the river. As well as sitting on a high street with plenty of shops and cafes, the Thames Path can be reached in just two minutes if you fancy a stroll, while the London Wetland Centre is just a fifteen-minute walk away also. The bright lights of Central London take just twenty minutes to get to on the train, too.
