Original features like the grand fireplace and decorative ceilings pair with pastel furnishings – and the mezzanine bedroom offers the perfect vantage point to admire the thoughtful design (though the low ceiling might be a problem for taller guests). There's certainly plenty of space for two guests to properly settle in, but with so many attractions on your doorstep, you might not find yourselves home much. Just around the corner are the trendy cafes and shops of Portobello Road, and it's a short walk to Kensington Palace and Hyde Park.

Looking for a fuss-free base in a prime location? This Bayswater apartment fits the bill. It's about a fifteen-minute walk from Portobello Road and Kensington Gardens, and close to a bevvy of shops, eateries, and Tube stations. On summer days, the private terrace will be hit – it's the perfect spot to enjoy a few tipples as the sun goes down. Even inside, you'll glimpse the elusive sunshine thanks to glass walls and skylights. The split-level layout makes the whole place feel extra roomy and ensures a bit of privacy for the two guests on the sofa bed. We think it's a no-frills option in vibrant West London.

There’s also a sweet little terrace – perfect for sunset drinks – plus a dedicated concierge service is on hand to ensure every moment of your stay feels personal. As this flat is above a cafe, you're just steps away from a delicious cup of coffee – although we suggest packing earplugs if you're sensitive to noise. From here, it’s just a short walk to Portobello Road and Notting Hill, with Royal Oak tube station just ten minutes away.

West London Fancy

This apartment may be small, but it's absolutely packed with style. The living space oozes chic comfort, with its large windows and velvet dining area. In the bedroom, a sumptuous bed beckons for a good night's sleep, though it's slightly too large for the room. There's also a snug bathroom and a compact kitchen that works best for light bites. Fortunately, Notting Hill has an abundance of excellent eateries to discover. Portobello Road and its famous market are a short walk away, as is a Tube station for adventures further afield.

Nestled in the heart of Paddington, it’s just a short stroll to Hyde Park, Kensington Palace and Oxford Street. You’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to restaurants, cafes, shops and museums. Plus, there are great public transport links with the tube station just a short walk away. Wherever the day takes you, this home makes it easy to switch off, unwind or catch up on work. The living room is perfect for cosy evenings at home and the main bedroom comes with an en-suite bathroom for extra privacy.

Each bedroom has bags of space – a rarity this close to the centre of London. But we love the orchids and white roses that add a touch of class to the luxe rooms.

The rooms are family-friendly and your host can arrange housekeeping for an additional fee.
