Inside, relax on the mezzanine with its suspended rowing boat. Later, whip a smoothie with the blender or fill the apartment with the smell of a freshly cooked loaf from the bread maker. Location-wise, the expansive Regent’s Park and the panoramic views from Primrose Hill are just a short distance away for dog walks (four-legged friends are welcome here, too). If you do fancy a day out of elegant West London, take an eight-minute walk to Hampstead tube station and explore the city with ease.

Moored up along the Regent’s Canal, this houseboat is in the heart of London. Regent’s Park is right next door and Primrose Hill is on the other bank. Plus, the buzzing heart of Camden Lock is a short walk away. The space inside has been carefully considered with two double bedrooms (one with a fold-out sofa bed), a full kitchen and cosy living room. There’s no chance of cabin fever with additional outdoor areas – lounge seating on the canalside and plenty of room to spread out on a towel on the rooftop. Of course, as a narrowboat, there are lots of amenities tucked away and fold-out features. It wouldn’t suit those that like oodles of space.

This modern apartment is a great base in London. It’s located in Marylebone Village, just a five-minute walk from Marylebone High Street and four minutes from pretty Regent’s Park. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and pubs nearby, and you’ll have four tube stations in the vicinity. The apartment is luxurious and chic, with high-end furnishings and a bright open-concept layout. Two guests can be accommodated on sofa beds in the living space.

The ground floor is fully open plan so great for families or groups to be altogether whilst cooking, dining and enjoying the living area. Situated next to a public tennis court in Kensington Memorial Park and just 15 min walk to Portobello Road Market - the perfect location for independent cafes, pubs and restaurants.

This delightful home can be found in a leafy residential street in affluent Hampstead, just a mile away from Hampstead Heath. Stylish and sophisticated, it's a garden flat that packs in character features, big rooms and plenty of comfortable, contemporary furniture.

With leafy gardens, Georgian architecture, and literary connections, Highgate Village is the place to be for nature and history lovers. For the arts, this home is just an eleven-minute stroll to Highgate Contemporary Art Gallery, while Jacksons Lane Arts Centre is a cultural hub two minutes from your door. Dickens and Byron frequented the taverns around here, but there are still plenty of gastro pubs and restaurants for those with modern tastes – as well as this apartment. 

Behind the traditional red-brick Victorian facade of the building, you’ll be surprised at the contrast. Your chic living space features ghost chairs and glass tabletops, with high ceilings and an understated colour palette creating a feeling of zen. But original features have not been forgotten – we love the large period windows that allow light to flood in, as well as the ornate fireplace with carved ironwork and antique ceramic tiles.

After a few glasses of English sparkling wine on the mid-century sofa, it might be time for a lie-down. In soothing neutral colour schemes, and with views of lush foliage, both bedrooms have a calming ambience. You can’t beat a peaceful night's sleep after an evening of culture and cocktails in this tranquil region of North London.

Designed to an impeccable standard with a vibrant colour palette, this is a high-end, unique home in West London’s leafy Ladbroke Grove. The bright velvet sofas in the communal area provide a vintage feel to the space and lovers of modernism will appreciate the impressive art pieces displayed throughout the home. Outside, there’s a brilliant blue patio that adds a great sense of light to its adjoining rooms – it also makes for an excellent spot to sip your morning coffee. When you’re not cooking up something tasty in the pink painted kitchen, you’ll be brunching in Notting Hill’s chic cafes, a ten-minute walk away – or dining on Michelin star cuisine in well-to-do Mayfair, reached in twenty minutes by car. The famous Portobello Road Market is less than a fifteen-minute stroll from your doorstep and Ladbroke Grove tube station, connecting you to all four corners of the capital, is reached in a mere ten minutes on foot.

Situated on a unique crescent-shaped street of Victorian homes – this apartment in Kings Cross is a great find. There’s an array of restaurants, bars and boutiques at nearby Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard, or have a stroll along the canal close by. You'll be just a short walk from Harrods, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Hyde Park, and well-connected Tube stations – if that's not central, we don't know what is. It's set on the ground and lower-ground floors of a Georgian townhouse, so expect original features like bay windows and cornice ceilings. Topping it all off is the private terrace – just the spot for a cup of tea in the sunshine.

Knightsbridge Elegance

Mixing contemporary stylings with Grade II-listed charm, this pad in Marylebone is a perfect fit for couples and solo travellers. What it lacks in floorspace, it makes up for in comfort. The kitchen is ideal for quick bites, the dining table doubles as a workspace, and the collection of curated art and other hand-picked decor gives the whole place a boutique feel. As for location? You can't beat it. Shops, restaurants, and cafes – it's all within walking distance here. And with Underground stations an easy stroll away, you'll be well-connected to the rest of the city, too.

Live out your literary dreams in this bright and airy apartment, twice lived in by famed novelist, Charles Dickens. Centrally located in the vibrant Fitzrovia, this apartment is a sleek city base with a storied history. 

This modern apartment feels both contemporary and comfortable. The pared-back and minimal design is contrasted with elements of character, like the exposed brick walls, an array of plants and a library of books that are a joy to indulge in after a day of exploring the streets of Soho, just a ten-minute walk away. Slide open the sash windows and enjoy your morning coffee at the large wooden table, or if you’re in need of a quick fix before heading out, the sleek stone-surfaced kitchen is perfect for whipping up a quick bite. It must be said, however, with London’s roster of restaurants you’ll have to fight yourself to stay in, even for breakfast.

Amble your way around Soho, popping into The Photographer’s Gallery and Sadie Coles before grabbing lunch at Koya for chewy udon noodles and beer-braised pork belly. Spend the rest of the afternoon in and out of shops in Covent Garden, we like Tenderbooks for their archive collections and Dover Street Market for sartorial browsing. Wind down in the evening at Duck Soup for a glass of natural wine and your pick of the seasonal menu. As night falls, wander through the buzzy streets back to your novelist’s hideout.   

A Literary Abode

Portobello Road might be famous for its markets and shops selling antiques and vintage clothing, but this apartment on an adjoining street is all about the here and now. It's found in a new apartment block and there are no renovated period interiors here — just a sleek white kitchen, wooden floors throughout and large floor-to-ceiling windows that invite the sunshine inside. Our favourite feature had to be the balcony with a pleasant view out over a local park, which would be a lovely spot on which to enjoy a late-morning brunch. However, if you don't fancy cooking, the cafes and restaurants of Notting Hill are a ten-minute saunter from your front door. Alternatively, if you're up for a longer walk, you can walk along the canal until you reach Little Venice, which will take you less than an hour.

Located just a minute’s walk from Oxford Street’s parade of shops, this stylish apartment is the perfect base for those wishing to experience the vibrancy of Central London.  We love how this home mirrors its elegant, upscale surroundings – chic touches like a velvet sofa in the living room and dusky blue floral wallpaper in the hall amp up the luxe feel of this home while natural light streams in from the windows overlooking charming James Street. Pour yourself a glass of wine to enjoy on the balcony or while seated on one of the armchairs – a good book in hand – or gather together for a celebratory feast at the chic dining table. The plush beds with their luxurious bedding are made for sinking into after a long day of work or sightseeing. Unless that is, you'd rather sink into some bubbles first – with large soaking tubs, how could you not? One of the most famous local landmarks is the iconic Portobello Road Market, a stone's throw from your front door. You'll find this apartment in the heart of Marylebone, just a ten-minute walk from Regent's Park. As far as locations go, you can't beat it. The village-like high street is lined with cafes, shops, and eateries, or you can hop on a train at Baker Street Station to explore further afield. After your adventures, you'll have everything you need to relax at home – from a sleek kitchen to cosy bedrooms. The living area isn't the biggest, so all six guests may find it a squeeze. There's also a sofa bed for two people, but we think it'd be more comfortable for one.

Located in West Hampstead, this home is perfect for those looking to explore London from a quiet residential base away from the tourist crowds.
