Located in London’s leafy Lambeth district – just a short stroll from Brixton’s lively bar and food scene, as well as from affluent Clapham – this beautifully styled apartment is just the ticket for those looking for a laid-back stay away from the tourist crowds.

Make your way upstairs to the wonderfully bright open-plan living area where soothing shades of grey are offset by vibrant pops of colour in the artwork and decorations. We love the bay window seat that invites you to curl up on it with a mug of tea and one of the many books on the shelves, while the sociable kitchen beckons homecooked meals serenaded by the record player and its selection of vinyl. 

The two downstairs bedrooms, meanwhile, are pared-back and peaceful, styled with a homey touch and soft pastel hues that feel instantly welcoming. 

But our favourite spot has to be the gorgeous private garden. Follow the string of colourful lanterns into this plant-framed spot to enjoy sunny breakfasts around the outdoor table and celebratory sundowners lounging on the sofa here. Day or night, you’ll love retreating to this quiet space – your very own urban oasis. 

Outside of your home, you’ve got plenty to see and do within easy reach. Spend a delicious afternoon at The Chocolate Museum (under a ten-minute walk), take a stroll through Brockwell Park (under twenty minutes away on foot) and explore the tantalising food stalls around Brixton Market (just over a ten-minute stroll away).

This pad is bright and practical, with lift access to the top floor, so you can easily transport your luggage. While the balcony needs a little refresh, the sprawling views more than make up for it – especially with a glass of wine. The comfy sofas are ideal for getting cosy after a home-cooked dinner, perhaps accompanied by a movie.

The buzzing bars and markets of Brixton are right on your doorstep, and you’re close to Brockwell Park too, which even has a lido for swimming on sunny days.

Are you looking for a newly renovated and professionally decorated home in Clapham? Then look no further – this stylish place is a real find. We love the decked terrace with its comfy L-shaped sofa – the perfect spot for a glass of Champagne at the end of the day. Inside, the south-facing bay window allows plenty of light in, highlighting the beautiful period features. The high-end kitchen has a lovely marble bar with seating for four, so whip up a hollandaise sauce with the blender and serve with some poached salmon and do some entertaining.

If you prefer to eat out, there are plenty of options on your doorstep, from restaurants and delis to cafes and cocktail bars. Clapham Common is the ideal spot for a stroll –it's just 400 metres away. On Saturdays, head to Venn Street, where you'll find all sorts of fresh food, under a fifteen-minute walk from this gorgeous home.


Clapham Skies

This 1901 Edwardian townhome is bursting with charm. Inside, you'll discover shelves piled with books, two cosy living areas, and heaps of traditional character. It has everything you need for a stress-free stay, including an office if remote working is on the cards. That said, our favourite spot is the garden. With a frog pond and direct access to the local playing fields, we can't think of a better spot to enjoy alfresco meals and evening sundowners. Location-wise, you're a five-minute walk from Dulwich Village and Herne Hill, both offering independent shops, cafes, and historic pubs. Trains from the local stations run into Victoria and London Bridge, so central London is also within easy reach.

The interior blends Victorian chic with contemporary design. Think exposed steel beams, bare brick walls and Crittal-style doors that provide a link to its warehouse roots. In addition, your hosts have deliberately sought out well-loved antique pieces with plenty of patina to add character throughout the home. 

An open layout on the ground floor creates a sociable space where you can spend time together as a group, whether you're cooking in the kitchen, reading a book in the sitting area or completing a crossword at the dining table. Elsewhere, there's a sophisticated office space where you can fire off a few emails if needed and a gorgeous enclosed courtyard perfect for making the most of warm summer days. Meanwhile, upstairs offers an additional sitting area beneath a soaring vaulted ceiling, with the home's four bedrooms leading off it.

Leaving the tranquil sanctuary of the home behind, you won't have to walk far before you're in the thick of things. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within a fifteen-minute walk of your front door, along with fantastic transport links to other parts of London. The Northern Line provides effortless access to London's glittering West End, the newly revamped Kings Cross and canalside Camden Town. At the same time, local bus routes place the likes of Brixton, Camberwell and Peckham within easy reach.

Based in a Victorian townhouse, this bright and characterful apartment really packs a punch due to its stylish interiors and enviable South London location. Less than a five-minute walk from Stockwell tube station, granting you easy access into the heart of the city (fifteen minutes from Oxford Circus), and yet in a quiet residential area near lively Clapham, this home is perfect for couples after a romantic break. Inside, there's a real warmth to the flat that will have you feeling cosy and comfy from the get-go. It's a well-presented home too, with worldly adornments sitting on top of ornamental fireplaces and the white-painted wood flooring lined by a chic animal print rug – it's clear the host has an eye for detail. Start your day with coffee on the balcony and lovely green views – a real rarity in the city – before heading off for a peaceful stroll in Battersea Park (half an hour from your door). In the other direction, you'll find Clapham and Brixton – two emerging hotspots full of shops, restaurants and a young, hip vibe. So, if you don't feel like facing the Central crowds one afternoon, there's plenty to keep you busy nearby.

This family-sized maisonette puts you in the already up-and-came neighbourhood of Brixton. You’re within walking distance of vast green spaces for sunny days (it’s a five-minute walk to Brockwell Park with its Lido) and the lively streets packs with indie clothing boutiques, global eateries and street art. Make the fiteen-minute walk to Pop Brixton for the best of the bunch.

The home itself is within a traditional London townhouse with big bay windows letting in plenty of natural light. A book-filled living room with plush velvet sofas feels homely and luxurious at the same time and the solid wood floors throughout are a lovely touch. The kitchen, in raven-black, has all the bits and pieces you need for self-catering and it leads out to a huge garden. This really is the piece de resistance, with a big lawn for kids to run around on, walled for privacy and with loungers and outdoor dining. There’s a hammock and deckchairs too.

Step through the walled arch of this home and you’ll feel transported to the English countryside. Set within a cottage-style garden, this is a wonderful spot for a refreshing city stay. Inside, the rooms are just as captivating with arts, crafts and plenty of personal touches. It’s worth noting the third bedroom is a cot room so this home is best suited to 6 adults or families travelling with children. There is also a south-facing patio and garden with a playhouse and a sandpit. And when it comes to adventures further afield, it’s just a short walk into the heart of Camberwell, while Denmark Hill overground station in less than ten-minutes away.

Enjoy the fruits of your labour in the sumptuous dining room with its sparkling chandeliers. There’s even a live-in housekeeper to keep everything spick and span. Perfect for families – kids and adults alike are well catered for with two separate lounges. Whether you need to work, play or relax, this extraordinary townhouse in Clapham has you covered. You only have to look at the 130-foot-long garden to see what we mean. As well as a lawn plenty big enough for games, there's also plenty of alfresco seating on the terrace, plus a self-contained office at the far end of the space with enough desks and screens for a whole start-up team if needs be.

And that's before we've even got around to the main home. Recently refurbished, the design is bright, bold and worthy of a centrefold in a glossy magazine. The sleek monochrome kitchen is truly envy-inducing, as is the chic dining table next to the large glass door leading to the back garden. At the front of the house, the living room is a little more homely thanks to the bay window, walls full of art and shelves packed with curios. To top it all off, the top two floors are home to characterful bedrooms and bathrooms.

It must be said that the location is fantastic, too. Larkhall Park sits five minutes away on foot, while the sprawling Clapham Common is a fifteen-minute walk. Just next to this is Clapham High Street, where you'll find a great range of restaurants and pubs, plus a cinema.

Not only will you have a modern and comfortable place to return to, but you're a fourteen-minute walk from the leafy common, fantastic for morning wanders in the park, while Clapham Junction tube station is only eleven minutes away on foot, connecting you to the likes of Wandsworth and Battersea in less than twenty minutes. 

Inside, the cosy living room includes a comfy sofa, as well as lots of homey decorative touches that will have you feeling at ease from the moment you arrive. Situated in the heart of the sought-after area of Pimlico, this colourful and cosy apartment boasts that all-too-rare of London amenities – an outdoor space, and not only that, the pretty garden terrace is complete with seating, a mini bar area and open access into both bedrooms. Stepping inside to look around the decor, you'll find a traditional British style benefitting from soft thoughtful furnishings, pops of colour and a stylish breakfast bar space. And if you've got to work while in the city, there's a modest yet bright office spot to get your head down. With work finished, explore a bustling central location by the River Thames. Walk to Buckingham Palace in just nineteen minutes, before stopping off for a leafy picnic in tranquil Hyde Park. If your number one priority is a kicking location, you're right in the thick of things here. 

The Churton

In laid-back Streatham, this stylish flat is contemporary and comfortable. It's not the most central, but a train station is within walking distance and offers connections to London Bridge and London Victoria. Even closer is Streatham Common, perfect for picnics and morning jogs. Back home, you can soak up the sunshine on the private balcony. The bright living area and kitchen make it easy to unwind. We think it works for families and friends wanting to be based in a local neighbourhood within easy reach of the city.

Tucked between Covent Garden and Holborn, this contemporary duplex apartment offers a restful retreat in the city. Sleek and set up with everything needed for a comfortable stay, it’s an ideal base for a family or group of friends. But the main reason it caught our eye? It’s all about the location. With many iconic London hotspots within walking distance, such as the British Museum, the Royal Opera House, Leicester Square and Soho, there’s plenty to keep you entertained while you’re away. And for trips further afield, Holborn Station is a mere three minutes on foot. 

London Serenade

This is a neat, well designed home on the first floor of a Victorian terraced house in the heart of Battersea. The wooden floorboards across the home give the space a lovely flow, and framed prints, such as the ones from the Design museum or collected by the host in Lisbon, give the space a unique character. The simple colour palette adds to the calm vibe, and we absolutely loved the sunny terrace off the main living space. Although it’s well stocked overall, the kitchen lacks a dishwasher, and the area, while very pretty, isn’t the best for easy transport links.

Pop Slate

With a fantastic location in one of the smartest neighbourhoods in the city, this home is a great find. Sloane Square is a short stroll away, while the River Thames is a ten-minute walk. The famous museums of South Kensington, along with the Saatchi Gallery are all within walking distance, too. After all that exploring, this beautiful home, set over three floors, has a pretty garden to relax in. The kitchen diner is perfect for entertaining, and each bedroom has an ensuite, making this place perfect for family or friends.

Belgravian Grace

From this apartment in a riverside development, you can enjoy the stunning views of the River Thames and the London skyline. Take in the vistas from the small balcony or the large living and dining room – this space also sleeps guests five and six on a sofa bed. Both bedrooms have an en-suite and desks for when you need to catch up on work too. There’s a riverfront communal garden here and the riverside walks are moments away. This area also has great public transport links so exploring the rest of London is easy.

The sprawling townhouse – spread over four floors – is within walking distance of Battersea Park, and just a twenty-minute stroll to the V&A and the Natural History Museum. It’s got everything you might need for a comfortable stay in London, including a shower steam room, a living room bar, and a garden. The main bedroom even has a balcony. A dumb waiter helps you transport meals from the basement kitchen – equipped with instant boil taps and a wine fridge – to the dining space. This is an attractive and practical London home.

Originally built in the 1730s, this sumptuous apartment is a shining example of Georgian architecture. The building is one of the oldest in Mayfair – in 1821, famed Buckingham Palace architect Thomas Cubbit extended it – and you can see the character, history and period details in every room. It feels like a home you want to linger in, with new surprises waiting at every turn. We love the antique furniture – a clawfoot desk here, a fauteuil armchair there – but the smart kitchen, stylish bathroom and mod-cons like a rainfall shower, espresso machine and Netflix bring things in the 21st-century. We think it's the best of both worlds, and the location is even better.

Ritzy and charming, Mayfair is home to leafy squares, cobbled lanes lined with cafes and some of the oldest shops in London. Fashionistas will enjoy shopping along New Bond Street and Saville Row (a five-minute walk away), art fiends can browse the nearby galleries and auction houses (Phillips Auction House & Gallery is right next door) and foodies will love the bevvy of gourmet eateries nearby. With Bond Street Station only six minutes away on foot, travelling around the rest of the city is easy – perfect if you fancy a bit of sightseeing.

The Georgian Architect

In the prestigious neighbourhood of Belgravia, this elegant townhouse is spread over five floors with a small rooftop terrace and three en-suites. We think it's a great choice for a family or group of couples travelling together – you won't get much more central than this, with iconic hotspots like Buckingham Palace and Battersea Park within walking distance. Sloane Square Station is just minutes away on foot and makes for easy exploration, and you'll find a wealth of local shops and restaurants in the surrounding streets.

Fifteen minutes on foot from Buckingham Palace and ten from Victoria Station, this charming townhouse is well-placed to explore London. It's an ideal base for friends or families with children above the age of 10, though four floors of living space means there'll be plenty of steps to climb. Our favourite feature is the private patio, where you can sip cocktails and tuck into an alfresco dinner as the sun goes down. Prefer to dine out, instead? You'll find an array of restaurants on your doorstep, ranging from Mexican fare and dim sum to cosy gastropubs.
