Moored up along the Regent’s Canal, this houseboat is in the heart of London. Regent’s Park is right next door and Primrose Hill is on the other bank. Plus, the buzzing heart of Camden Lock is a short walk away. The space inside has been carefully considered with two double bedrooms (one with a fold-out sofa bed), a full kitchen and cosy living room. There’s no chance of cabin fever with additional outdoor areas – lounge seating on the canalside and plenty of room to spread out on a towel on the rooftop. Of course, as a narrowboat, there are lots of amenities tucked away and fold-out features. It wouldn’t suit those that like oodles of space.

Camden Town is known for its bustling music scene, but at the other end of the main stretch, there's a quieter side to this vibrant area. With Regent’s Park just a minute away on foot, this home practically has this tranquil parkland as its own back garden. We love the interiors just as much – a stylish open-plan living room and kitchen lends itself well to the brightly lit space. With Eames chairs and a LC4-style cowhide recliner, the furniture has clearly been chosen by a host with taste. The animal theme continues with faux fur throws on the L-shaped sofa, as well as a matching rug. Elegance is another key feature of the bedroom. The quality furnishings are simple and understated, with more huge windows letting sunlight flood into the home. To contrast these calm interiors, head ten minutes into the heart of Camden, where you’ll find plenty of colourful scenes. The decor is minimal and isn't the most charming, but we think it's a great choice for corporate trips or solo travellers wanting to get to know the city. The location does mean there's some potential for outside noise and parking in the area might be tricky, but public transport is easily accessible and hotspots like Regent's Park and Camden Market are within walking distance.

Situated in Primrose Hill, this stylish mews house is bursting with unique design elements from Morocco, India and Paris. It's not suitable for toddlers and small children due to its stairs and ornaments throughout, but babies and furry friends are more than welcome. The third bed is quite small and will be a bit of a squeeze for two adults – we think it's best suited to teens and older kids, or just one adult. The beautiful Primrose Hill Park is a short walk from your doorstep, along with local shops and cafes to explore.
