All Saints is a comfortable family-friendly home in Ealing, a quiet suburban area of London. The home has been newly refurbished and decorated with contemporary interior design, including exposed brick walls in the bedrooms and a sleek, modern kitchen space. Features such as stained glass windows and corniced ceilings bring a classical feel. The large back garden is a major bonus, especially for families, although it's worth bearing in mind that the location isn't very central.

With good shops and restaurants on your doorstep, along with the Neoclassical Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery, there's a village feel to this residential area.

The home itself is set inside a modern, purpose-built bock with an open layout to its bright living space and smart new furnishings. Sleeping up to four, it's perfect for a couple or a small family, and the bathroom is particularly stylish. Set on the top floor, it has an airy New York loft feel thanks to vaulted ceilings in the living area, and skylights bathing the room in natural light. Both of the bedrooms have sliding glass doors which lead out onto the balcony, with its treetop views. We love the high-spec features, like the 49-inch smart TV and the boiling water tap in the kitchen, enabling cups of tea in seconds. 

Enjoy breakfast and some morning sun on the balcony before heading out to explore. In summer, take a picnic to Walpole Park on your doorstep. The elegant grounds belonged to famed British architect Sir John Soane, and you can explore his grand Georgian manor which is now a beautiful gallery in the park. When you’re ready for a taste of the big smoke, stroll ten minutes to Ealing Broadway station and hop on the Central Line, which whizzes you into central London in twenty-four minutes. 

After a day of exploring the city, head home and run a bubble bath in the decadent marble bathroom, cosy up on the sofa for a movie, or simply relax on your balcony with a glass of wine, as the sun sets over this green and pleasant corner of London.

Keen gardeners will love it here – the house is just a three-minute stroll to the Lion Gate, one of the entrances to Kew Gardens. If that wasn't enough, your lovely hosts provide four free tickets to the gardens, and this membership also gives you 10% off the shop there. There are plenty of chic boutiques, restaurants and bars on your doorstep to sample. Or, go for a walk along Richmond Riverside and explore Richmond Park. You can reach Central London in thirty minutes by Tube or train too. 

Back at this home, enjoy a cup of tea in the garden with its pretty flower borders, or relax on the sofa in the living room and pick a book from the shelf. We love the French doors, which allow light to flood in, as well as the neutral hues enlivened by pops of blue and green. Later, rustle up a salmon tray bake in the modern and stylish kitchen with its navy blue units (there's a blender, food processor and juicer). There's a handy office space here, too, if you want to catch up on work. To top it all off, this place has private parking to boot.

Close to upmarket Kensington and bohemian Notting Hill is the charming area of Brook Green. Known for its village atmosphere, period architecture and excellent transport links (Hammersmith, Goldhawk Road and Shepherds Bush stations are all within walking distance), this pocket of West London suits families, business travellers and those craving a quieter neighbourhood. Yet it's still close to excellent restaurants, cosy gastropubs, green spaces and plenty of shopping, with Westfield London (fifteen-minute stroll), Kensington High Street (twenty-minute walk) and Holland Park (thirty minutes on foot) all just a stone's throw away. This bright apartment in a picturesque mansion is the perfect place to rest your feet and recharge after a long day exploring. The fully-stocked kitchen has everything you'll need to rustle up a meal, while the cosy living area has a comfortable sofa, Freeview channels and DVD player for chilled nights at home. There's also a desk if you need to do some remote working, though we'd probably get distracted watching the world pass by outside the window. But our favourite feature is the sumptuous rolltop bath. We can't think of a better way to end the day than with a glass of wine, a good book and a relaxing soak. Pure bliss.

Families and friends will have ample room to stretch out here. We love the cosy lounge, the light-filled kitchen, and the two comfortable bedrooms. Remote workers can get down to business in the separate study, which has a sofa bed for guests five and six. Factor in the sun-kissed patio, balcony, and private parking, and it's no surprise it caught our eye.

Part of a set of serviced apartments, you won’t find homely bric-a-brac or odds and ends filling the surfaces, rather a sleek, open-plan living room and a full kitchen for self-catering. We also like the location – it's about a thirty-minute train ride from central London, but it has a lot to offer. There's complimentary tea and coffee to enjoy, ideal for itinerary planning in the open-concept living space. While the dressing table can double as a little desk, the bedroom clothing rails call for light packing. Nearby bus stops will help you get around Hammersmith and Fulham. Plus, you're about a thirty-minute walk from Shepherd’s Bush Market Station, promising excellent train links across the city.

Portobello Road might be famous for its markets and shops selling antiques and vintage clothing, but this apartment on an adjoining street is all about the here and now. It's found in a new apartment block and there are no renovated period interiors here — just a sleek white kitchen, wooden floors throughout and large floor-to-ceiling windows that invite the sunshine inside. Our favourite feature had to be the balcony with a pleasant view out over a local park, which would be a lovely spot on which to enjoy a late-morning brunch. However, if you don't fancy cooking, the cafes and restaurants of Notting Hill are a ten-minute saunter from your front door. Alternatively, if you're up for a longer walk, you can walk along the canal until you reach Little Venice, which will take you less than an hour.



In With The New

This Victorian-era home is located in Chiswick, just a short walk from Stamford Brook Tube Station. With easy access to central London in under twenty minutes, it's perfect for those visiting the capital but keen to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Those in London on business will appreciate the cosy office area in this home, while the modern kitchen, opening onto the private terrace, is sure to be a hit with all. Locally, you’ll find independent boutiques and riverside pubs, and for a memorable day trip, Chiswick House and Gardens is a must-visit. 

Chiswick Charm

This comfortable apartment is a solid choice of base in West London. It’s a short drive from Westfield Shopping Centre and Shepherd’s Bush – perfect if you’re in London for a gig. You’ll also be able to get around on public transport, as Acton Central station is a short walk away. The heart of this home is the open-plan living and dining space, which leads to a garden.
