Vintage-loving couples and design fiends will thrill at this creative East London home. From the shabby-chic dressers brimming with crockery to the cherry-red sofa and those stylistically skew-whiff art prints, there’s not a single corner of this home that doesn’t exude character. In the bathroom, a claw-foot tub and tiled, walk-in shower squabble for your attention. But after a day traversing London, a full-to-the-brim bubble bath will be just what you need. Also demanding a look is nearby Kingsland Road, a myriad of hipster bars and must-book restaurants are less than a ten-minute walk away. In the evening, sit out in your vibrant garden with a glass of wine in hand, basking in the tranquillity as the city surges on in the distance. 

The Dalston Artists

This sublime property has won an architectural prize, it’s located next to an Overground station and it’s curated to perfection. Modern and connected to the surrounding, it’s a pure joy for curious people who get excited by design. 

The Garden of Eden

Cross the gangplank onto this incredible floating home near the Thames. Moored just a couple of blocks from Tower Bridge, this former 1930s steel barge is a ten-minute walk from the Tower of London. The top deck has been converted into a long, open living space with views of St Katharine Docks Marina from the huge windows. We love the semi-outdoor dining room, housed in a glass atrium-style space to the rear of the ship, with seating for ten. Choose to relax in the stylish white lounge on the upper deck, or head downstairs to the snug with its u-shaped sofa around a striking suspended fireplace. Bedrooms are on the lower deck, but that doesn’t mean dark cabins with tiny portholes. Spacious rooms have walls of windows and if there are portholes, they’re the size of a bass drum, letting in tonnes of natural light. If you manage to bag the master bedroom, its en-suite comes with a sauna. Welcome aboard, matey!

All Afloat

This stylish apartment has a prestigious location in Shoreditch, in a landmark building designed by the renowned architects Foster + Partners. We love the ensuite bathroom, beautifully finished with marble. The open-plan living space is flooded with lots of natural light with large windows overlooking London. However, the absolute highlights here for us are the indoor lap pool and spa – perfect for relaxing after a busy day. There's also a residents' lounge, a state-of-the-art gym, and a cinema, so there's plenty to keep you occupied.

If all this wasn't enough, this home has a fabulous address. It's a twelve-minute walk to East London Tech City, otherwise known as Silicon Roundabout, while Spitalfields Market is a four-minute saunter. With its public gardens, bars, and restaurants, Hoxton Square is a seven-minute wander, or art lovers can head to the Barbican Arts Centre, seventeen minutes away on foot. 




City Vistas

Located in a beautiful white stucco townhouse, just a three-minute walk from Angel Tube station, this studio flat is a fantastic choice for a solo traveller or couple looking for a stylish space but who don't need lots of superfluous space. Despite the lofty three-metre-high ceilings and large sash window, your host – an experienced architect and interior designer – has really put a lot of thought into the layout and decor to make the most of the compact size. No detail has been overlooked in the pursuit of perfection, and every element must earn its place. As a result, the home manages to be both a chic yet relaxing space for two people to enjoy comfortably. We loved the use of beautiful natural materials, which are mixed with a subtle and mature colour palette. A bonus is a super-smart bathroom, complete with a sumptuous bathtub – perfect for a soak at the end of a busy day exploring the pubs, indie boutiques and antiques shops that dot this corner of North London.

House of Coir

This Shoreditch apartment puts you in the heart of one of east London’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. It’s small but brilliantly designed, with everything you need in one stylish, colourful space. Step outside and you’re minutes from Hoxton Station and Shoreditch Park. You're also perfectly placed for Broadway Market, Columbia Road’s blooms, and Brick Lane’s vintage finds. Inside, there's a comfy lounge that overlooks Hoxton Market, a compact kitchen, and a peaceful bedroom made for lazy lie‑ins. At full capacity, one guest will use the sofa bed, which must be requested in advance. It may be cosy, but the location is unbeatable, the vibe is inspiring, and the city is right on your doorstep. What's not to love?

Hoxton Hideaway

With at least two coffee shops and two pubs only a two-minute walk away, this Hackney home is where comfort and creativity come out to play. Walk into any room here and you’ll be met by striking art that sits in beautiful contrast against the statement walls and wooden floors. Furnished with style and comfort in mind, everything that occupies this space doesn’t just look good, but it serves to make your stay as cosy as possible. Head outside first thing in the morning to enjoy your coffee – if you’re early enough you might even catch the sunrise – or  spend hours reading on the floral chair with the fire crackling next to you. Head into the kitchen to work on an elaborate Full English for breakfast, but not before opening the bifold doors and putting some soft music on, dance like no ones watching whilst you cook and gather around the beautiful dining table to eat and plan the day.

With London being as well connected as it is, this marvellous city is your oyster – Buckingham Palace is a forty-minute journey on public transport and from there you can easily take a twenty-five minute walk to Oxford Circus for a bit of shopping, or walk the same distance in a different direction and get to the London Eye where you can marvel at the amazing views over the city. Closer to home, you can spend an entire day at Victoria Park – an eight-minute walk away – just remember the picnic blanket, supplies and a good book, before ending your day with a cold pint in one of the many surrounding pubs 

Midnight Blue Valentine

Boasting pride of place in London's hippest area, this warehouse conversion seamlessly blends history and modernity. Once a men's textile factory, many of its original elements have been lovingly restored, from the concrete columns and huge windows to the airy mezzanine. Your host has spared no expense on the details, adding modern touches like voice-controlled lighting and smart speakers to get your playlists thumping in every room. When you're ready to step out, the central location ensures there's something to discover in every direction. You'll find Victoria Park a five-minute stroll to the left, Broadway Market and London Fields to the right, and a luxurious rooftop bar and sauna just across the road.

The Olde Textile Factory

If you’re in search of a relaxing haven in the heart of Hackney, this warehouse apartment delivers a peaceful solution. Tucked away on the top floor, you’ll be welcomed by a calm open-plan design and plenty of home comforts. There’s a raised meditation and yoga zone to fill your day with positive energy and plenty of work space for digital nomads. You’ll also have a little balcony – perfect for a morning coffee or evening drinks. From here, it’s a short walk to Walthamstow Marshes and the nearest amenities in Clapton. It’s also just a short walk to the nearest bus stop – making it easy to explore further airfield.

Find a sunny spot by the window to catch up on literature, play games and generally kick back. Upstairs, you'll find a stylish bedroom with pops of orange, a quirky painting and vintage radio. Located in the leafy borough of Canonbury, once home to George Orwell, you will be within easy reach of Essex Road, Highbury & Islington and Shoreditch. Take the sixteen-minute tube ride to hipper-than-hip Shoreditch High Street, discovering fashionable boutiques, trendy bars and artisan coffee shops. Out and about or snuggled up indoors, any day is made better bookmarked with a long soak in the swanky bathtub.

When it comes to London neighbourhoods, some visitors are guilty of overlooking Farringdon, which is a pretty big sin in our books — not only is it excellently located between the bright lights of the city centre and the trendier East, but it's full of exciting restaurants, interesting museums and industrial architecture. It's also home to effortlessly cool apartments, such as this one.

In the open-concept living-kitchen area, light flows through the space thanks to windows on either end. The design is definitely Scandi in influence — clock the clean lines and preference for wood surfaces — but the abstract artwork stops it from feeling too identikit. Rather pleasingly for a home for two, the cobalt kitchen has a wealth of sleek surface space for whipping up romantic dinners, while the pristinely tiled bathroom has a tub that will surely sing to you after a long day on your feet.

Although the surrounding neighbourhood has a welcomingly quiet residential feel, some of the UK capital's most famous sights are only a short walk away — both The British Museum and St Paul's Cathedral will take you all of twenty minutes to reach.
