We were instantly drawn to this West Kensington apartment's characterful interiors and prime location. Tucked away on a quiet residential street, there are brunch-worthy spots, shops and bars just a short stroll away. You’ve also got both West Kensington (three minutes on foot) and Baron's Court tube stations nearby, making it super easy to get around the city. While it’s not the biggest home in our Kensington collection, the soaring Victorian ceilings make all the difference. The lounge also has a sofa-bed, making it a practical pick for a small family or friends on a city break.

You might think that minimalism is easy to get right, but it's not just a case of taking everything away and admiring the emptiness. This apartment in West London shows you how it should be done. The stark white walls and floorboards create a soothing ambience, but it also means that the carefully selected artwork, houseplants and statement furnishings — including an alien-looking chair in the bedroom by designer Tom Dixon — really stand out. Overall, it manages to strike the sought-for balance between artistic coherence and somewhere you can actually feel at home within. The outside of the building is traditionally pretty and part of a charming crescent sat opposite the entrance to Brompton Cemetery, one of the 'Magnificent Seven' built in the nineteenth century. Further afield, there are boutiques and upmarket restaurants on the nearby King's Road, which can be reached in under twenty minutes on foot. For direct trains to central London, Earl's Court underground station is just round the corner, getting you into the city in just fifteen minutes.

Tucked down a historic cobbled mews, this home is anything but boring. Don't be fooled by the cottage-core exterior – inside, the design is all about contemporary touches and sleek details. One of our favourite rooms is the main bathroom, which has a soaker tub and two lavish showers. There's also a second (albeit slightly smaller) suite, so nobody will feel left out. Upstairs, the living area opens onto a Juliet balcony with views of the mews, and there's a large kitchen ideal for culinarians. The cherry on top is the location. You're just a stone's throw from Harrods, Hyde Park, and the many eateries and shops in swanky Knightsbridge.

We're big fans of the plush pink sofa – it's just the ticket after a long day on your feet – while the two sumptuous bedrooms ensure a good night's sleep. Earl's Court is striking distance from Notting Hill, Hyde Park, Kensington and Chelsea, and all the major London museums. This abode has a lovely bright feeling, especially in the dining area with its glazed roof. Open up the French doors to the courtyard and select a book from the shelves or listen to some music on the sound system and truly unwind.

This snug studio is tailor-made for solo travellers or couples looking to explore the charm and charisma of London. The home is just a three-minute walk from Earls Court, giving you easy access to the major attractions around London. 

Famed for having numerous underground trains pass through at the same time, Earls Court is perfect if you have an active itinerary. Head central to the galleries, museums and shops in the centre, stopping off at the cafes for a coffee and a sandwich. 

Travel further east and you'll discover Southbank and the iconic Tower Bridge. If you visit in the summer, Southbank is a dreamy spot to take a wholesome walk, illuminated by the sun shining off the River Thames.

It’s easy to see why the home has won design awards, with the kitchen’s vibrant living wall and the terrace’s retractable roof. It’s spread over four floors but boasts a chic lift that blends with the modern decor. There’s a family room for relaxing together, and an open-plan reception room with a workspace – this really is a convenient home-from-home. Best of all, it’s in the heart of South Kensington, just down the road from the Natural History Museum, the V&A, and lots of local eateries.

Located right between the opulent neighbourhoods of Kensington and Earl’s Court, this home is a modern and elegant base for your stay in West London. But with high-end restaurants nine minutes away on Gloucester Road, as well as world-class galleries and vibrant high streets, you might not have a lot of time to relax. In this high-ceilinged living and dining area, with huge sash windows, our favourite piece is the wooden coffee table with perspex legs. Stylish yet simple, its rich red tone looks perfect against the understated cream and blue rug. And with the plush L-shaped sofa in tow, this is a fabulous spot to sit and enjoy a cup of Earl Grey – or perhaps a glass of red wine in the evening. Another option is to head out into the bustling local area. It's an eight-minute walk to Earl’s Court tube station, from where you can easily explore the city. However, there's so much nearby that you might not feel the need. Head to the Design Museum in just twelve minutes, where you’ll also end up next to the lush greenery of Holland Park. Just like your home, its Japanese garden is a delightfully tranquil escape from the bustling metropolis of London.
