When you’re not cooking up something tasty in the pink painted kitchen, you’ll be brunching in Notting Hill’s chic cafes, a ten-minute walk away – or dining on Michelin star cuisine in well-to-do Mayfair, reached in twenty minutes by car. The famous Portobello Road Market is less than a fifteen-minute stroll from your doorstep and Ladbroke Grove tube station, connecting you to all four corners of the capital, is reached in a mere ten minutes on foot.

Back home, the bright living space is instantly welcoming. This mews house in Marylebone is an excellent London base, whether you’re travelling as a family, a group of friends, or even as professionals. Spread over three floors, it may not be suitable for everyone, but the payoff to all those stairs is plenty of space. We love the elegant living room, and keen home cooks will enjoy whipping up meals in the well-equipped kitchen – there’s a chic dining space too. If you’d rather dine out, you’ll have plenty of choice – the enviable W1U postcode puts you in a prime position for pubs, bars, and restaurants. 

Soho Love

Ten minutes from Notting Hill, Portobello and the eclectic array of eateries and independent shops that come with them, this loft-style apartment offers a unique London stay. The generously-proportioned balcony is a rare gem in the capital, and from this one, you can gaze over 100-year-old architecture and historic transport arches as you soak up the rays.

The interiors are sleek and functional, with a splash of industrial design. South-facing windows let light stream into the open-plan living and dining area, where you can spend your downtime kicking back in front of a Netflix show or preparing home-cooking meals in the high-spec kitchen. 

If you'd prefer to eat out, you'll find plenty of buzzy bars and restaurants on your doorstep – the pub at the end of the street comes as a personal recommendation from your host, particularly if you're seeking a Sunday roast. Hop on the tube at Latimer Road station, just two minutes away, and arrive in London's bustling centre before you know it.

Honeypot Loft

In the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea sits the upscale area of Holland Park. As well as the tranquil green space itself, this neighbourhood is an oasis of elegant avenues, leafy squares, and refined homes. Just three minutes on foot from the park, you’ve pretty much got these fifty-four acres as an extended back garden when staying in this fabulous house. In any case, you do already have your own private walled garden and top-floor terrace. Sunny mornings in West London would be best spent here with an iced coffee on the sun loungers, and balmy evenings on the patio with a tumbler of whisky after a barbecue. As for the inside, this cosy home has a neutral palette of calming colours – with pistachio walls and pale-wood parquet flooring, sophistication comes as standard. The furniture is a mixture of antique and modern design, but if you want to see more on this, you’re just a twelve-minute walk from the Design Museum. We highly recommend stopping in for brunch and cocktails at one of Kensington’s many cafés and dining spots en route.
